The Flying Dutchman is a 1995 Dutch fantasy comedy-drama film co-written and directed by Jos Stelling. It was shot in eight months, with a budget of about 14 million guilders. It was entered into the main competition at the 52nd Venice International Film Festival, and was later screened at the 20th Toronto Film Festival.

Europe today might have many problems, but at least it is definitely nicer place to live than few centuries ago. This conclusion could be made after watching *The Flying Dutchman*, 1995 Dutch/Belgian epic directed by Jos Stelling.
