This film is a Mexican genre production directed by Celso R. García, the screenplay written by the director himself and Luciana Herrera Caso was based on one written by Canadian Ken Scott.

The plot revolves around the inhabitants of a small island called Santa María del Mar, where the inhabitants have lived for generations from fishing, but the arrival of a fish processing plant on a neighboring island completely changed everything, so many had to migrate to the city and it became almost uninhabited.

Those who refused to leave the city tried to find ways to get industries to look at it and after getting an industry to do so, they found out that the same industry asked for a doctor as an obligation, something that had never existed in the place.

Then begins the adventure of these to get a doctor interested in going there and after achieving it by chance circumstances they run into a problem, he will only be there for a month, so they invent dozens of situations to seduce him to reside there and thus achieve the task of the arrival of the industry.

The film features an outstanding cast of actors: Memo Villegas as Germán, Pierre Louis, telenovela actor making his film debut, as Mateo, Yalitza Aparicio, Oscar nominated for Best Actress for her performance in the film Roma in 2019, as Ana, Eligio Meléndez, of extensive experience in film and television both as an actor where he won the Ariel award in 2018 and as a director, as Simón, Julio Casado as Benjamín, Héctor Jiménez, actor and comedian as Jorge and Mercedes Hernández as Alba.

This film had a limited release on August 23, 2023, and on August 30 it was released worldwide through Netflix, getting very good reviews and opinions, both for its script, the humorous situations and the charismatic of its protagonists.

Personally, I enjoyed it very much with the family and I highly recommend it, as it deals with a very current issue such as the industrialization of natural spaces, besides providing us with moments of healthy fun.
