Hello friends, I'm here with another interesting movie tilted The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and I would like to share with you here.

The movie is about when Katniss is advised by President Snow to participate in a special edition of the Hunger Games that will feature all its previous winners, to eliminate her, due to her influential nature.

The movie begins, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have settled into a life of material comfort and emotional unease back in District 12 following their joint victory in the 74th Hunger Games.

Katniss was traumatized by the Games and remains emotionally distant from Peeta.

President Snow visits Katniss and reveals that her defiance in the Games has inspired revolts across Panem.

To suppress the rebellion, he demands that she and Peeta feign love during the Victory Tour, threatening to destroy District 12 and kill their families if they refuse.

During their Victory Tour, Katniss and Peeta's speeches only lead to further unrest across the districts.

The two publicly announce their engagement in an attempt to persuade Panem's citizens of their love.

However, President Snow and the districts remain unconvinced. At the Capitol, Katniss meets the mysterious new head Gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee.

Upon returning home, Katniss witnesses the brutality of the Capitol's Peacekeepers.

Gale is publicly whipped for trying to intervene in their beating of civilians, leading to a violent confrontation that results in Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch's involvement.

The 75th Hunger Games, also known as the third Quarter Quell, is announced with a twist: tributes are to be selected from the existing pool of victors.

As the only living female victor from District 12, Katniss is forced to compete in the Games, with Peeta volunteering to join her.

In a previous attempt to halt the Games, Peeta announces during his pre-Games interview that he and Katniss had already married and are expecting a child, leading to a further outcry by the Capitol's citizens.

As ordered by Snow, Katniss wears a wedding dress for her interview, but Cinna, her stylist, designs it to shift into a Mockingjay symbol.

Just before Katniss enters the arena, Cinna is brutally beaten in front of her and later killed for altering the dress.

In the Games, Katniss and Peeta form an alliance with Finnick Odair and the elderly Mags from District 4.

They encounter a deadly poisonous fog at night; Mags sacrifices herself, so the others can escape.

The group also fights a pack of genetically mutated mandrills, during which the female tribute from District 6 sacrifices herself to save Peeta.

Fleeing to the beach, the group unites with Beetee and Wiress from District 3, and Johanna Mason, the female tribute from District 7.

Wiress discovers that the arena is designed like a clock, with dangers recurring at set intervals.

The Careers suddenly ambush the group. Katniss and Johanna kill Gloss and Cashmere, but Wiress is also killed in the encounter.

Find out what happened next after the group is suddenly ambushed by the Careers as the movie gets more interesting.

    Thanks for reading my post.

Good tv-series or a sequel of good movies are the best things to keep me hooked on them one after another. Lemme elaborate, on individual films, maybe a good one has a runtime of max 3 hours, not more than that, after that, it's done, maybe the feelings last long but that's an end, right? But for tv-series or movies with sequels/prequels try to satisfy a little more for those special feelings to have more. I know these two end at a certain point but I love to get hooked one after another.

So after the first one, I completed watching the second installment of The Hunger Games, titled as Catching Fire, it's a sequel to that. This one is directed by Francis Lawrence.

In the first one, we had seen how Katniss and Peeta came out as winners whereas there should have been just one winner. Their act of love, courage, and her wit made that possible. We had also got a smell that the Capitol didn't like that thing, they had anticipated something and the results are in this sequel.

From the very beginning, we have seen why these games were introduced, to keep them under their rule, to remind them about their slavery, and to minimize any kind of revolution against the Capitol. Every year, those 12 districts pay tribute and now after the 74th one, they seem to hope again for a change. They are seeing Katniss as their hope for a change, just like she made a change for the first time to bring out Peeta alive with her. People are showing signs to protest, showing the instincts for another revolution and the center of power is not unaware of these too. They wanted to terminate her but somehow came up with an idea to show the whole country that even the victors so far aren't above their rule.

For the 75th one, as the 3rd Quarter Quell, they announced a special one where only the victors from the previous years will be elected to volunteer for The Hunger Games. Again, from district 12 Katniss and Peeta, last time their act of love and threat to sacrifice both saved them, what now? The Capitol knows her risk, their sole motive was to terminate her, so inside the game how they are going to survive is the question to search for answers. And you know, it wasn't going to be an easy one, just think that there are all the winners, all of them have survived this game of death and Katniss is already unwanted by the authorities.

Even in this part, I liked how they arranged the whole part not just by showing the game scenes. Story-telling, things that are working along, reactions, conspiracy, emotions, and so on. And yes, a spoiler, the ending is not as expected but satisfactory, hehe. This one gave a massive hint for upcoming chaos in the next one. Yeap, I am too excited for the next one, see you then, happy watching!

Hello, living beings! I recently had insomnia and decided to watch a movie that I had already seen, but I hadn't decided which one, this movie was the first one that came out and I couldn't be more grateful that it did, this movie years ago I loved it and despite the years it still has the same effect on me, maybe more than before, and that just confirms again how excellent movie it is.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is one of the best movie adaptations made based on books, really, and someone who has read the book and seen the movie can't say otherwise, everything, everything, well, almost everything is perfect and I cried again, I laughed again, and I felt ecstatic again for everything I was watching, no matter that I have seen the movie five times before.

Katniss and Peeta were the winners of the 74th Hunger Games and now they are trying to live, or better said, to keep surviving the games, but now outside the arena, and in ways, they didn't think possible, at least that is until they select the tributes for the Quarter Quell, and since it is a special year, it has special rules, and this time the tributes are going to be chosen from the winners of the past games.

¡Hola, seres vivos!

And that's as far as I will talk about the movie because then I can tell you absolutely everything and that's not the idea, I will only talk about what I felt, and it was a lot, too much, and I can't even have all the words to say it. This dystopia is more real than many of us believe, or may want, or understand, nothing more real and actual than dictatorships selling a divine unreality to a few, while the rest live the hellish reality that you just wait for it to end, but you don't know when it will happen, or if even that moment will come.

Beyond all the reality that is lived, and that we see in the film, I love how much we can study the human (dis)nature that we are shown, from people who induce vomiting to be able to continue eating all the delicacies that are at a party, to those who are so bored of their own existence that in order to have fun, they let and allow teenagers to kill each other just to have something entertaining to watch and not to be watching the dark sky without stars.

Katniss is hated and loved almost equally for many reasons, but I won't talk about that, I still cry when I see her desperate after Peeta dies and Finnick does everything he can to revive him and succeeds only to see them give each other the most emotional drool-filled kiss in the story, and just to see Finnick realizing that Katniss really loves Peeta, but without her knowing it herself, those little details so well demonstrated are still a marvel to me, because it's one thing to read it and another to watch it, and that it's all so fitting is amazing, being only a teen book trilogy, you don't always expect something amazing, but this is just sublime and the beautiful thing is that it doesn't deteriorate with the time that passes.

    image.png

My insomniac that day thanked me for watching this movie, for making him remember that everything bad can have an end, or its end can have a beginning with any small action or the accumulation of many small actions and that most of the times we don't even realize or notice, because we are not omniscient beings and we cannot understand where all these small actions are going to end up, and it is just one of the small things it teaches us.

Of the four movies, this is my favorite, although the last parts are just as good and even better because more things are added, the plot gets more complicated than it already was and the introduction of things that before we didn't even think existed but we know they were possible because everything goes in context perfectly.

I leave you the trailer, but don't watch it if you haven't seen the first movie, or even read the books, but who knows, maybe watching the trailer or reading this review will make you read the books and watch the movies, although it's more likely not. Anyway, no one knows how much I love that movie, being my favorite, but I do know that many have the same or maybe even more intensity than I do.

    image.png
