At ninety-four years old, Clint Eastwood is still directing good movies. An actor and filmmaker who loves making movies and is still active and proving it. He is already a Hollywood and world cinema legend, he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, but he brings us so far his last film. Will it really be the last one? Many media speculate about it, due to his advanced age. I hope he still gives us a couple of more films. What do you think? Will this be his last film?

Jury No. 2 presents us with an intense dilemma. A man who is picked for jury duty, who is assigned number two, discovers that he is involved in the case. It is then that the crossroads present themselves. He has a beautiful pregnant wife, although he has a past of alcoholism, he is not a bad person. His principles, his morals, motivate him to want to do the right thing, but if he does, it would mean completely destroying his life, which is presenting him with wonderful opportunities.

What would you do in their place? Ask yourself this question. It is very easy sometimes to judge certain actions of people, but put yourself in their shoes, in a similar situation and tell me what would be their action. No matter how good a person you are, if your life is going to turn into hell and you will lose all the good that is happening to you, you will think about it and prefer to live with the feeling of guilt, it is the most logical reaction of any person.

A sus noventa y cuatro años, Clint Eastwood sigue dirigiendo buenas películas. Un actor y cineasta al que le encanta hacer películas y sigue en activo y demostrándolo. Ya es una leyenda de Hollywood y del cine mundial, no tiene que demostrar nada a nadie, pero nos trae hasta ahora su última película. ¿Será realmente la última? Muchos medios especulan con ello, debido a su avanzada edad. Espero que aún nos regale un par de películas más. ¿Qué opinan ustedes? ¿Será ésta su última película?

Jurado nº 2 nos plantea un intenso dilema. Un hombre que es elegido para ser jurado, al que se le asigna el número dos, descubre que está implicado en el caso. Es entonces cuando se presenta la encrucijada. Tiene una bella esposa embarazada, aunque tiene un pasado de alcoholismo, no es una mala persona. Sus principios, su moral, le motivan a querer hacer lo correcto, pero si lo hace, significaría destruir por completo su vida, que se le está presentando con maravillosas oportunidades.

¿Qué haría usted en su lugar? Hágase esta pregunta. Es muy fácil a veces para juzgar ciertos actos de las personas, pero ponte en sus zapatos, en una situación similar y dime lo que sería su acción. Por muy buena persona que seas, si tu vida se va a convertir en un infierno y vas a perder todo lo bueno que te está pasando, te lo pensarás y preferirás vivir con el sentimiento de culpa, es la reacción más lógica de cualquier persona.

Justin Kemp finds himself in this dilemma. He must think fast, he must avoid getting caught, and so he begins to be a nuisance in a courtroom of jurors who want to get out of there fast and get on with their lives. It is also a diatribe on the judicial system. A system that seems to have failed. Most jurors are not interested in judging according to truth and justice, they just want to get on with their lives without caring if the guilty party is actually guilty, they just need a conflicting background to determine their fate.

Eastwood continues to direct in a fairly classic style. He keeps a good pace and tells the story flawlessly. If you've followed his career, you'll know that actors who have worked with him, in multiple interviews, have said that he's a fast director, that most of the time he does one take. Remember the baby scene in the movie The Sniper? He doesn't care about those details. Here, however, I didn't notice any similar mistakes.

Nicholas Hoult takes the honors with his performance. He plays Kemp and does an excellent job. We can feel his guilt and fear and his change in the final part, in the conversation scene with the prosecutor, was one of my favorites. A man has to make decisions, he has to think about himself and his family. Simple.

Justin Kemp se encuentra en este dilema. Debe pensar rápido, debe evitar que le pillen, y así empieza a ser un incordio en una sala de jurados que quieren salir rápido de allí y seguir con sus vidas. También es una diatriba sobre el sistema judicial. Un sistema que parece haber fracasado. A la mayoría de los miembros del jurado no les interesa juzgar de acuerdo con la verdad y la justicia, sólo quieren seguir con sus vidas sin importarles si el culpable es realmente culpable, sólo necesitan un trasfondo conflictivo para determinar su destino.

Eastwood sigue dirigiendo con un estilo bastante clásico. Mantiene un buen ritmo y cuenta la historia de forma impecable. Si has seguido su carrera, sabrás que los actores que han trabajado con él, en múltiples entrevistas, han dicho que es un director rápido, que la mayoría de las veces hace una sola toma. ¿Recuerdas la escena del bebé en la película El francotirador? No le importan esos detalles. Sin embargo, aquí no noté ningún error similar.

Nicholas Hoult se lleva los honores con su interpretación. Interpreta a Kemp y hace un trabajo excelente. Podemos sentir su culpa y su miedo y su cambio en la parte final, en la escena de la conversación con el fiscal, fue una de mis favoritas. Un hombre debe tomar decisiones, debe pensar en sí mismo y en su familia. Sencillo.
