The killer's shopping list ended its series with only 8 episodes. The series received mixed reviews from viewers as seen on the ratings. During the first episode, it received a positive rating even nationwide as seen on asianwiki via nielsen but as the show progresses, the ratings aren't as positive as the first episode. It seemed that the mystery failed to capture the full attention of k-drama lovers.

Predicting the killer was fun but by the end of episode 7 it seemed rushed. And the ending too leaves the viewers including myself with questions if there is going to be a sequel of the series.
Spoiler Alert!
Perhaps if you are a true fan of crime series, you would have guessed the killer but for many others, the guessing game was the part that made this drama interesting.
Thoughout the episodes we were only shown snippets of the murderer. His appearance, height, and his interests. Apparently the killer’s behavior and interest overlaps with other characters made it more intriguing to follow.

Many of us suspected other people, especially the MS mart worker. But at the end of the drama, a character called Seo Cheon-Kyu, a realtor at apartments nearby the MS mart, who turns out to be the actual psychopathic murder.
Until the end of the episodes we aren't shown or given an explanation of the killer's motive. Instead we were only given a glimpse of Cheon-kyu's character who seemed to be a psychopath. Most of his victims are female who live alone. But he also kills anyone who witnesses what he did except his daughter whom he seemingly cared about.
The acting itself wasn't that bad. Lee Kwang Soo did a good job with his first debut as the main character. He wasn’t far away from his comedic persona but he was given some serious moments which he did really well. I never thought I would see Kwang Soo play such a role. I am not familiar with the other supporting roles but their acting was not bad either. So, I don’t have anything significant to comment on them.

However when it comes to the story, it seemed rushed and left many plot holes and unanswered questions that we all can hope there will be the sequel. But considering the rating it received, it might as well just be a dream.
Once again, if you enjoy crime with a dash of comedy thrown into the story, you can enjoy this k-drama. But if you are not into comedy and pure crime fans, this isn’t for you.
There are some on-going dramas on Viu that I currently watch and will review soon. The list are below. Let me know which one interest you the most!
[x] Woori the Virgin which is a satire k-drama adapted from US tv drama Jane the virgin. So far, the story is intriguing, bringing artificial insemination whilst the main roles are characterized as religious. It’s a bit unconventional and I think it is an interesting story to be put into screen especially in k-drama context.
[x] Shooting stars a story about the entertainment industry and the people behind the “stars”.
[x] Showtime Begins! (From Now On, Showtime!) a rom-com that made me laugh so hard.
[x] Wannabe (this one is a Thai drama) caught my attention after I watched F4 as I think that the Thai film industry that I’ve always known for its ghost stories, is now moving with more sophisticated themes and filmography. It’s about some youth's dreams to become a famous rapper. As someone who enjoys listening to rap & hip hop music including r&b the music in the show really slaps. So wait for my review on that one too.
