  1. The Man Without a Past (2002) by Aki Kaurismaki (REVIEW)@lost1082777d

First of all, let me mention that this is an excellent Finnish movie. At the beginning of the movie, the character experiences an accident that will completely change his life.

He does not remember his name, nor his past, he starts from zero, without any emotion towards anyone. He is accepted by a good family that will take care of him until his complete recovery.

After that, he will face with the independence and the struggle for survival in a new environment where everyone is stranger to him. Slowly, he will begin to adapt to both, the environment and the people. In the further course of the movie, there are various obstacles that act quite naturally and daily that will take your breath.

The director did a good job and he was able to bring us the difference in each character, to deliver us their temperament while some of them will be repulsive, some will overwhelm you because of the humanity and kindness they characterize.

It’s a movie with a great idea that shapes one extraordinary idea on interesting way, dynamic way that will not going to make you be bored for a second. The movie has some kind of weird Finnish music that I really liked, the movie was great as well, excellent movie overall.
