Last night I saw this fun movie that consists of 4 different tales shared between 2 characters in a very creepy context. The entire film takes place in a mortuary where a very strange old man works. After attending to his latest clients, a grieving family, he notices a young woman and realizes she is there looking for a job.
These 2 people couldn't be more different from each other, but the girl appears to have a liking for creepy stuff, and obviously the old man is not only very creepy himself but he also knows a lot of spooky stories because he has been working as a mortician for a very long time and this is noticeable.
The film belongs in the horror genre but it is not hardcore nor very scary. That doesn't mean it cannot be entertaining and enjoyable for fans of the genre. It doesn't bring anything new to the genre but it is so well done that it deserves to be praised. The cinematography at the beginning was spectacular but it devolves into a normal one once the 4 tales begin to be shared.
The performances from the cast were OK. My favorite character was the mortician because of his creepy looks and the general eerie atmosphere that is constantly surrounding him. This was undoubtedly a very well accomplished character and it proves horror doesn't need to be constantly reinvented for it to be good. The mortician is like a classic creepy character whose looks are timeless.
Despite the fact the majority of the time is spent with the 4 stories the most important events happen in the mortuary and after finishing the movie I really wanted to know more not about the mortician tales but rather about his own personal story regarding his job at this creepy place.
If you are looking for a fun movie with some creepy scenes then this one might be a good choice to watch. The only people that could get scared watching this film are kids so don't expect a super-serious horror but rather entertaining spooky tales.

- The stories don't bring anything new to the horror genre.
