Hola hive, para nadie es un secreto que desde el mes de noviembre ya se empiezan a sentir las vibras navideñas, así que como en estos días no tenia nada que ver y me encontré con esta película que desde el primer momento me llamo mucho la atención, por esta razón es que hoy les vengo a hablar de The Muppet Christmas Carol
The Muppet Christmas Carol es una película navideña lanzada en 1992, dirigida por Brian Henson y protagonizada por por Michael Caine y The Muppets. Esta película nos muestra la historia de Ebenezer Scrooge, un señor egoísta y avaro que al ser visitado por los fantasmas de la navidad cambia su perspectiva de ver la vida. La historia está basada en A Christmas Carol de Charles Dickens. Ya habiendo dado un poco de contexto ahora si comencemos!
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto de la película, y sin duda en este caso es la historia en sí, está historia me encanta, me parece que es muy interesante y aparte tiene un mensaje profundo que nos hace reflexionar, así que desde un principio cuando vi que The Muppet Christmas Carol tenia como base esta historia ya sabía que casi seguro me iba a gustar.
La actuación de Michael Caine me pareció increíble, me parece que el personaje le queda como anillo al dedo y sabe darle una interpretación muy cool, ademas como el personaje de Ebenezer Scrooge es el principal, es fundamental Que sea una buena actuación para que ayude con la dinámica de la película y obviamente Michael Caine logro esto.
Aunque The Muppets no es algo de mi época, sinceramente he visto varias películas de ellos y todas me han encantado, me parece que son personajes bastante cómicos y en general The Muppets tiene un concepto muy original, aparte siento que son personajes atemporales, es decir que al pasar de los años de igual forma los podemos seguir disfrutando.
En cuanto a la dirección no tengo nada que decir, para los que ya han leído algunas publicaciones mias saben que soy fan de la dirección y estética de las películas antiguas, se me hacen muy agradables visualmente y obviamente The Muppet Christmas Carol no es la excepcion a esto.
Los efectos especiales me parecen súper bien para la época, aparte como los muppets son marionetas esto se presta para que la película al pasar de los años no se vea mal y en los momentos en los que utilizan efectos sinceramente considero que se ve muy bien.
En conclusión The Muppet Christmas Carol me pareció una gran película de navidad, mezcla muchas cosas que me encantan, aparte la historia es hermosa, sinceramente se me hace difícil verle un punto negativo porque la disfrute de principio a fin. Totalmente recomendada!

I thought Michael Caine's performance was incredible, I think the character fits him like a glove and he knows how to give a very cool interpretation, also as the character of Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character, it is essential that it is a good performance to help with the dynamics of the film and obviously Michael Caine achieved this.
Although The Muppets is not something of my time, honestly I have seen several movies of them and I have loved them all, I think they are quite funny characters and in general The Muppets has a very original concept, besides I feel that they are timeless characters, that is to say that over the years we can still enjoy them in the same way.
As for the direction I have nothing to say, for those who have already read some of my publications know that I am a fan of the direction and aesthetics of old movies, I find them very nice visually and obviously The Muppet Christmas Carol is no exception to this.
I think the special effects look great for the time, and since the muppets are puppets this makes the movie look good over the years, and in the moments where they use effects I think it looks great.

En mi caso (y el de muchos de ustedes) siempre he considerado que una de las partes más divertidas de Navidad es el poder ver películas y series de televisión inspiradas en estas fechas, historias que nos permiten conectar con nuestros sentimientos más nostálgicos, para así revivir aunque sea por un par de horas nuestra añorada infancia.
"A Christmas Carol" es un cuento navideño de Charles Dickens que ha sido llevado a la gran pantalla DECENAS de veces, en dónde vemos como un hombre viejo y amargado entra en contacto con varios espíritus a lo largo de noche buena que representan la navidad del pasado, del presente y del futuro, permitiendo que reflexione sobre todos sus pecados y que corrija su forma de ser con todo el pueblo que le rodea.
La universalidad de esta historia le ha permitido ser adaptada en múltiples formatos: cine, televisión, animación tradicional, animación en 3D, stop-motion, etc... Todas capaces de replicar en mayor o menor medida los temas de la obra original, una oda a la bondad y la fraternidad en un mundo que parece cada vez más alejado de la verdadera esencia de la navidad, enfocado en elementos superficiales que parecen atender más a los deseos generados artificialmente por un gran compañía que aquello que dicta nuestro propio corazón.

Así surge "The Muppet Christmas Carol", una película de 1992 que aparte representa la primera incursión cinematográfica de las marionetas tras la muerte de Henson, quedando así el rol de la dirección en manos de su hijo Brian , quien por cierto hace un trabajo brillante.
Protagonizada por Michael Caine en el papel de Ebenezer Scrooge, The Muppet Christmas Carol es una historia dulce, que incluye elementos de comedia atemporales sin afectar la integridad del cuento original, algo que aporta muchísima ligereza y que nos permite conectar con ella independientemente de nuestra edad.
¿La clave? En lo personal siento que es tomarse en serio así misma, respetando los Beats narrativos de A Christmas Carol y ajustando lo que sea necesario para que la fábula funcione en este nuevo contexto.
Esto se ve apoyado con una producción impecable, plagada de sets que evocan una atmósfera gotica y que contrastan con los momentos de calidez navideños que hay regados de vez en cuando, las actuaciones humanas son escasas pero contundentes, y los Muppets por otro lado logran transmitir una cantidad absurda de emoción pese a sus limitaciones físicas.
Llena de buena música, momentos emotivos y una estructura simple pero efectiva, no podría enojarme con aquellos que consideren A Muppet Christmas Carol como la versión definitiva de este cuento.

Bueno damas y caballeros oficialmente estamos en diciembre, el mes de la navidad y una de mis festividades y meses favoritos mes en el cual por parte de tantas personas y familias se nota una proyección de buenos ánimos, deseos y acciones que vayan acorde a lo que representa estas fechas así sea de forma superficial también, de chico recuerdo que pasaba mucho tiempo junto a mi familia tanto la materna como la paterna y estas fechas nos unían, las cosas para mi actualmente son un poco diferentes en este aspecto, pero aun se mantienen esos buenos deseos que siento yo que es lo importante, ahora que estoy más desocupado ciertamente quiero aprovechar este tiempo para ver contenido ligado a esta fecha de temática navideña, en películas o series y bueno brindar mi punto con ello a las que llamen ciertamente mi atención, y que mejor forma de comenzar que hablando de una película clásica inspirada ciertamente en la novela clásica de un cuento de navidad, la cual ha sufrido muchas adaptaciones pero la adaptación de la que les hablare el día de hoy es para mí en lo personal en términos de nostalgia una de las más importantes.
Me gustaría traerles una navidad con los Muppets y especificar para mí el porqué esta película, basada en temática navideña y ciertamente fijada y guiada bajo la premisa eh inspiración de la novela clásica de Dickens para mi tiene puntos que valen la pena, como por ejemplo la presentación de estos títeres y el manejo de los mismos en escenarios como estos, la interpretación del actor que le da vida a Scrooge y su tremendo trabajo actoral y el aspecto musical, emocional, reflexivo y alivio cómico por algunos personajes todo esto y un poco mas lo abordare parte por parte, así que esta vez les traigo una navidad con los Muppets.

La película viene siendo una adaptación a la novela clásica navideña de Charles Dickens, en la cual se nos muestra la vida de Ebenezer Scrooge un hombre frio de corazón, egoísta, codicioso, avaro y algo cruel el cual es un prestamista muy reconocido, la vida de este hombre cambiara considerablemente con la visita de 4 espíritus (contando eh incluyendo al primer espíritu que le avisa la llegada de los otros 3) los cuales aparecerán, por orden desde la 1 am hasta las 3am tales, experiencia orillaran a Scrooge a replantear su vida y ver si podrá cambiar como persona.

To begin I must say that I do not consider myself a fan or someone who has consumed continuously either in childhood or some time in my youth, content linked to the Muppets or other puppets with the exception of currently "Dont Hug Me Im Scared", but that's another story, the point is that I was never so keen on consuming movies or series of these characters in question, I know the impact of some puppets of this franchise and what they have caused in the media and their reception as the frog Rene, Peggy, Fonzy or Gonzo, but beyond that not so much, however and despite all that the role played in the recreation of this Christmas classic personally I find it very good and for several points, those I mentioned previously in the introduction and despite being detached from the aspect of the puppets ironically, this is one of my favorite films in a representative way to the novel by Charles Dickens and has its strengths.
First and foremost I think I really or well I feel it, I felt and still feel when I watch this movie that as the plot unfolds and you begin to empathize, understand and see the lives of these characters recreated mostly by puppets, you forget at some points that they are because of the immersion of what happens, it sounds kind of weird but I have reached a point where seeing how they project these puppets through the movement of their puppeteers, certain actions and interactions in a way so fluid or at best decently crafted, that you really feel a strong emotional factor and much more empathetic, is a great aspect of which looking at it in an introspective way is quite curious, and just denotes the great work that is involved with the handling and use of these puppets though, this is anchored to my subjectivity and I feel this way and besides that and see that most of the characters in this scenario, are at most 70% puppets, see the interpretation of the few human actors doing so well their work is not for less especially the actor who plays Scrooge which did a great job.
In the visual section we can see in my opinion a good representation of the era in which all these events unfold, typical when recreating the era of London in the 19th century at this point the work by the artifacts around, the use of them to create weight in the plot and everything that is linked to the structuring of it makes it present as something interesting, certainly outstanding from a visionary perspective since they are puppets, and in addition to this the other aspect which I will mention in more detail in brief moments but I will mention here superficially which is the musical section, I feel that really gives an interesting weight for the occasion and we want to give us to understand what happens in the life of Scrooge.
In relation to the plot, and as you may already know since I have repeated it a few times, this film is another adaptation of the intellectual work of the writer Charles Dickens, and his famous work A Christams Carol, which has been so well received over the years, that since that time until today have been taking adaptations, either in plays, films, chapters of some animated series, etc.. Para comenzar debo decir que no me considero un fanático o alguien que haya consumido de forma continua ya sea en la infancia o alguna época de mi juventud, contenido vinculado con los Muppets u otras marionetas con excepción de actualmente “Dont Hug Me Im Scared”, pero esa es otra historia, el punto es que nunca fui tan partidario de consumir películas o series de estos personajes en cuestión, se el impacto de algunas marionetas de esta franquicia y lo que han causado en los medios y su recepción como la rana Rene, Peggy, Fonzy o Gonzo, pero más allá de eso no tanto, sin embargo y a pesar de todo eso el papel que se desempeña en la recreación de este clásico navideño en lo personal me parece muy bueno y por varios puntos, aquellos que mencione de manera previa en la introducción y a pesar de estar desligado del aspecto de las marionetas irónicamente, esta viene siendo una de mis películas favoritas de manera representativa ante la novela de Charles Dickens y tiene sus puntos fuertes.
Primero y principal creo que realmente o bueno yo lo siento así, sentí y aun siento cuando veo esta película que a medida de que la trama se desenvuelve y empiezas a empatizar, comprender y ver la vida de estos personajes recreados en su mayoría por marionetas, olvidas en algunos puntos que lo son debido a la inmersión de lo que ocurre, suena algo raro pero eh llegado a un punto en el cual al ver como proyectan estos títeres a través del movimiento de sus titiriteros, ciertas acciones eh interacciones de una manera tan fluida o a lo mucho decentemente elaborados, que realmente sientes un factor emocional algo fuerte y mucho mas empático, es un gran aspecto del cual viéndolo de una forma introspectiva es bastante curioso, y solo denota el gran trabajo que se tiene de por medio con el manejo y uso de estas marionetas aunque, esto este anclado a mi subjetividad y lo sienta así y además de ello y ver que gran parte de los personajes de este escenario, son a lo mucho 70% marionetas, ver la interpretación de los pocos actores humanos haciendo tan pero tan bien su trabajo no es para menos en especial al actor que interpreta a Scrooge el cual hizo un gran trabajo.
En el apartado visual podemos ver a mi parecer una buena representación de la época en la cual todos estos eventos se desenlazan, lo tipio cuando se recrea la época de Londres del siglo 19 en este punto el trabajo por parte de los artefactos alrededor, el uso de los mismos para crear peso en la trama y todo lo que esté vinculado con la estructuración de la misma hace que se presente como algo interesante, ciertamente sobresaliente desde una perspectiva visionaria ya que son marionetas, y además de ello el otro aspecto del cual mencionare con mas detalles en breves momentos pero mencionare aquí de manera superficial el cual es el apartado musical, siento que realmente le da un peso interesante para la ocasión y se nos quiere dar a entender con lo que pasa en la vida de Scrooge.
Con relación a la trama, y como ya sabrán ya que lo eh repetido algunas veces, esta película viene siendo otra adaptación ante el trabajo intelectual ajeno del escritor Charles Dickens, y su oba celebre A Christams Carol, la cual ha tenido tan buena recepción a través de los años, que desde esa época hasta la actualidad se han estado sacando adaptaciones, ya sea en obras teatrales, películas, capítulos de algunas series animadas, etc. Es muy bien conocido que en épocas como estas, películas de esta índole y temática harán acto de presencia en algunos canales televisivos u otros medios por estas fechas, la vida se enfoca en Scrooge el cual es una persona avara y egoísta y su vida cambiara con la intervención de 4 espíritus en una noche, sin embargo en este punto cuenta de por medio la intervención y participación de los Muppets, el aspecto musical y el buen manejo a nivel emocional el cual para mí se hizo muy bien, en especial el nostálgico y triste así como el alegre a través de los cantos.
Ahora con relación a las coreografías, la música y el manejo de las emociones en especial de los actores pues humanos, debo decir que no tuve quejas en ningún sentido, se hizo un buen trabajo aquí el manejo de las emociones en especial con la música y la coreografía en algunas escenas, es muy bonito hay algunas canciones que me gustaron con la de Scrooge, cuando es visitado por el fantasma de las navidades pasadas y lo lleva con su antiguo amor, la ultima cuando intenta cambiar y la de Marley al comienzo cuando es avisado por las visitas de los espíritus, que fue la que en termino de ritmo me gusto mucho, en estos puntos realmente le sacaron un buen provecho. Siento que es una película clásica que vale la pena a nivel nostálgico y no solo en eso, en varios puntos ligados a la auto reflexión y mas con el hecho de estar en estas épocas te hace pensar un poco, y con esto termino la reseña del día de hoy espero la lectura haya sido de su agrado, como siempre gracias por llegar hasta aquí y hasta la próxima, feliz comienzo de mes navideño.
