The Originals season 3

If there is anything to summarize about season 3 of The Originals, I will call it the fall of the Mikaelson family because the strong family nearly went into extinction for life. This season was full of a lot of epic and mind blowing episodes and if I am to be honest, it got me glued from start to finish. After the great battle for Hope, The mikaelson would think they would finally have some breathing space, but the universe would not just allow them bringing with it a prophecy that saw the destruction of the Mikaelson family and a lot of Vampires would not want that to happen because killing the family would mean wiping out an entire sire line of vampires.

The first vampire to show up was Lucine who just happened to be the very first vampire Klaus turned and the person who made them realize they could use their blood to turn humans into vampires. The prophecy stated that the Mikaelson family will fall from three different sources of destruction, A friend, A foe, and A family member. And knowing Klaus he did not really care much about the friend and the foe the way he cared about a supposed family member that would betray him. Well at the end of the day, he was always right to be nervous because he knew that the only person he could trust at the end of the day was himself.

Other Ancient Vampires begin to show up, mainly to protect their sire bond and not necessarily because they love the Mikaelsons. The fact that they know the death of a Mikaelson would mean their death gathered them together making them act like they are united at least. But obviously Klaus is always right to trust no one as he later discovers Lucine’s true plan was to become the very first vampire hybrid and break his sire link to Klaus so when he dies, he won’t die with him. Marcel on the other hand hates Klaus for taking over his city which for Klaus means enemies on every side.

Although Klaus and the Mikaelsons find a way to defeat Lucine, their problem is far from over as Marcel becomes a worse version of the Vampire Hybrid and finally has the power to kill Klaus and the Mikaelsons. His venom is even more deadly than Klaus and when he bites Elijah, for the first time the Mikaelson fear death of a family member and a weapon of their own making. Klaus on the other hand is rendered weak after his sister Fraya links the Mikealsons siblings' lifeforce to Klaus buying them time and Rebecca is left to fight off a curse she now has to live with… Pretty intense I must say.
