Imagine a world full of magic and enchantment, a fantastic life in this world, a portable door through which you can travel at any time, to any time, and imagine where this door can take you and what you can do! Does this fiction appeal only to me?
If you find this fiction as appealing as I do, we can start talking about The Portable Door, a movie that I think will open the doors of fantasy life wide open.
I would like to start by admitting that I consider myself vulnerable to productions in this genre and that I tend to watch the movie, as accepting the productions that stand out in the fantasy genre as they are is one of the primary rules of keeping up with the fascinating atmosphere of the movie and adapting to the story.
The extraordinary story of the movie begins with the characters Paul and Sophie, who lead an ordinary life, meeting for the same purpose. Both suffering from unemployment and in a position to accept any job, they coincidentally get a job in the same company. While this company, which is unknown on the surface, carries out dark deeds in the background, it camouflages a fantastic life.
Paul and Sophie's curiosity reveals the camouflaged fantasy life and the movie draws the audience in, revealing all the charms of the fantastic life. I don't think we, as the audience, have the luxury of not wanting to be in the shoes of the main characters of the movie at those moments because the portable door is quite skillful in taking you when and where you want.
The struggle between good and evil, which is a sine qua non of fantasy productions, is also present in The Portable Door, but unlike similar productions, the battle between good and evil is kept more passive. This passivity deepens the fantasy story of the movie and makes you enjoy the fictional world more and put yourself in the shoes of the characters in many scenes instead of the competition.
I don't think there is anyone among the actors who doesn't do their part, and even if there was, the mesmerizing atmosphere of the movie would have been enough to make up for it. Patrick Gibson transformed an ordinary young man into an extraordinary young man and his reflection in the character of Paul was magnificent. Although the movie is not a hero movie, I can say that he created a hero with his performance alone.
If you are interested in a story full of magic and adventure in a fantasy world, I highly recommend you to watch The Portable Door. I guarantee that you will enjoy the movie even more when you keep up with the fantasy life and fiction.

Hello everyone ✨.
It's a beautiful day to share a movie with fellow movie lovers. Yesterday, I was trying to clear out all the movie in my phone as my mobile device was screaming for space and as fate would have it, I stumbled across this movie–The Portable Door.
The last movie I watched that had anything to do with doors was the series "Locke and Key"; an amazing series by the way. As usual, I had second thoughts about this movie. It had been in my phone for so long and I automatically tag movies that stay that long as boring. Nonetheless, I decided to watch it and I'm glad I did.
About The Movie
A young man lands himself a paid internship at a mysterious firm. The fellow employees are quite eccentric but he was just there for the money, or so he thought.
From the first day the young man set foot in the firm, he could tell that something was off but again, all he wanted was to make enough money to help him stay afloat.
The Portable Door is a fantasy, adventure, comedy film directed by Jeffrey walker. The director paid special attention to each segment of the movie and frankly I have to say that he did an amazing job. This movie is one of a kind and I mean that in a good way.
Paul is the young man who is struggling to stay afloat in a city where everything is fast paced. His roommate is moving out and so he has to find a good paying job . His job search ends at a mysterious firm with eccentric colleagues.
Everyone is strange and he decided to put all of their differences aside just to ensure peaceful coexistence. Soon enough, he is laced with the responsibility of finding a precious item for his CEO.
Sophie Wilde as Sophie Pettingel
Sophie is Paul's coworker and fellow new intern. She is reserved and likes to keep to herself but somehow, Paul manages to get into her space. She enjoys Paul's company but for some reason she doesn't have control over her feelings.
Jessica De How as Rosie
Rosie is the stuck-up receptionist who never hides her feelings. She is one character who says things as they are even when they could hurt the other party. She doesn't mind. If you have ever come across any grumpy secretary who was so tired of their job, yes, that would be Rosie.
All scenes with her were hilarious scenes as her sarcasm game was an A-game. One had to pay close attention to her gestures in order to get the sarcasm she was generously dishing out.
Christopher Waltz as Humphrey Well.
Humphrey is the CEO of the company J.W. Wells & Co. Humphrey takes special interest in Paul from the very first day. Along the line, he laces Paul with the responsibility of finding his missing treasure after telling Paul a sad and heartbreaking story which was majorly filled with lies.
Miranda Otto as Countess Judy
Judy is the lady who Sophie works under. She carries Sophie along and shows Sophie the ropes. She, however, didn't like Paul very much so she kept him at arm's length. Judy is a diligent employee who wants the good of all.
Sam Neill as Dennis Tanner
Dennis is another very hilarious character. One could call him the CEO's right hand man. Dennis works alongside Humphrey and he also is after the good of all. However, most right hand men always have their own plans right?
My Opinion
The Portable door was a fast paced and interesting movie, filled with magic, adventure and sarcasm. The scenes with sarcasm were my favourite scenes. Each character did their best and played their roles diligently.
One other thing I liked so much about the movie was the soundtracks. The soundtracks brought out the beauty in every scene. What would a fantasy adventure film be without the right music? For this, I must really commend the brains behind the soundtracks and the songs. They did an amazing job.
One scene that stood out for me was the scene where Dennis asked Paul to tell Sophie about his ex-girlfriend knowing very well that Paul had been a Single Pringle all his life. The sarcastic laughter that followed that statement was just so hilarious.
Recommendation
Would I recommend this movie to anyone? Yes I would. I had a great time watching the movie. The fact that I didn't get a hang of what was happening till it was revealed towards the end made it even more intriguing. It was a fulfilling watch for me and I'm certain it would be the same for you.
If you want to get a good laugh or you're up for an adventure, then this is the movie for you. With that, I would give the movie a 7/10 rating.

Es ist ein schöner Tag, um einen Film mit anderen Filmliebhabern zu teilen. Gestern habe ich versucht, alle Filme in meinem Telefon zu löschen, da mein mobiles Gerät nach Platz schrie, und wie es das Schicksal wollte, stolperte ich über diesen Film - The Portable Door*.
Der letzte Film, den ich gesehen habe und der irgendetwas mit Türen zu tun hatte, war die Serie "Locke and Key"; eine tolle Serie übrigens. Wie üblich hatte ich Zweifel an diesem Film. Er lag schon so lange in meinem Handy und ich stufe Filme, die so lange bleiben, automatisch als langweilig ein. Trotzdem beschloss ich, ihn mir anzusehen, und ich bin froh, dass ich es getan habe.
Über den Film
Ein junger Mann ergattert ein bezahltes Praktikum in einer mysteriösen Firma. Die anderen Mitarbeiter sind ziemlich exzentrisch, aber er war nur wegen des Geldes dort, zumindest dachte er das.
Vom ersten Tag an, an dem der junge Mann die Firma betritt, merkt er, dass etwas nicht stimmt, aber auch hier will er nur genug Geld verdienen, um sich über Wasser zu halten.
The Portable Door ist ein Fantasy-, Abenteuer- und Komödienfilm unter der Regie von Jeffrey Walker. Der Regisseur hat jedem Teil des Films besondere Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet und ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass er seine Arbeit sehr gut gemacht hat. Dieser Film ist einzigartig, und das meine ich auf eine gute Art und Weise.
Paul ist ein junger Mann, der darum kämpft, sich in einer Stadt, in der alles schnelllebig ist, über Wasser zu halten. Sein Mitbewohner zieht aus, und so muss er sich einen gut bezahlten Job suchen. Seine Jobsuche endet bei einer mysteriösen Firma mit exzentrischen Kollegen.
Alle sind seltsam und er beschließt, alle Differenzen beiseite zu schieben, um ein friedliches Zusammenleben zu gewährleisten. Schon bald wird er mit der Aufgabe betraut, einen wertvollen Gegenstand für seinen Chef zu finden.
Sophie Wilde als Sophie Pettingel
Sophie ist Pauls Arbeitskollegin und ebenfalls eine neue Praktikantin. Sie ist zurückhaltend und bleibt gerne für sich, aber irgendwie schafft es Paul, in ihren Bereich einzudringen. Sie genießt Pauls Gesellschaft, aber aus irgendeinem Grund hat sie keine Kontrolle über ihre Gefühle.
Jessica De How als Rosie
Rosie ist die hochnäsige Empfangsdame, die aus ihren Gefühlen keinen Hehl macht. Sie ist eine Person, die die Dinge so sagt, wie sie sind, auch wenn sie die andere Partei verletzen könnte. Es macht ihr nichts aus. Wenn Sie jemals einer mürrischen Sekretärin begegnet sind, die ihren Job so leid war, dann ist das Rosie.
Alle Szenen mit ihr waren urkomisch, denn ihr Sarkasmus war ein A-Spiel. Man musste schon genau auf ihre Gesten achten, um den Sarkasmus zu verstehen, den sie großzügig verteilte.
Christopher Waltz als Humphrey Well.
Humphrey ist der Geschäftsführer der Firma J.W. Wells & Co. Humphrey zeigt vom ersten Tag an besonderes Interesse an Paul. Im Laufe der Zeit überträgt er Paul die Verantwortung, seinen verschwundenen Schatz zu finden, nachdem er ihm eine traurige und herzzerreißende Geschichte erzählt hat, die größtenteils aus Lügen bestand.
Miranda Otto als Gräfin Judy
Judy ist die Frau, unter der Sophie arbeitet. Sie nimmt Sophie mit und zeigt ihr, wo es lang geht. Sie mochte Paul jedoch nicht besonders und hielt ihn auf Abstand. Judy ist eine fleißige Mitarbeiterin, die nur das Beste für alle will.
Sam Neill als Dennis Tanner
Dennis ist eine weitere sehr witzige Figur. Man könnte ihn als die rechte Hand des CEO bezeichnen. Dennis arbeitet an der Seite von Humphrey, und auch er will nur das Beste für alle. Allerdings haben die meisten rechten Hände immer ihre eigenen Pläne, oder?
Meine Meinung
Die tragbare Tür war ein rasanter und interessanter Film, voller Magie, Abenteuer und Sarkasmus. Die Szenen mit Sarkasmus waren meine Lieblingsszenen. Jeder Charakter hat sein Bestes gegeben und seine Rolle fleißig gespielt.
Eine weitere Sache, die mir an dem Film so gut gefallen hat, war die Tonspur. Die Soundtracks haben die Schönheit jeder Szene hervorgehoben. Was wäre ein Fantasy-Abenteuerfilm ohne die richtige Musik? Dafür muss ich die Köpfe hinter den Soundtracks und den Liedern wirklich loben. Sie haben einen tollen Job gemacht.
Eine Szene, die mir besonders gut gefallen hat, war die Szene, in der Dennis Paul bittet, Sophie von seiner Ex-Freundin zu erzählen, obwohl er genau weiß, dass Paul sein ganzes Leben lang ein Single Pringle war. Das sarkastische Lachen, das auf diese Aussage folgte, war einfach urkomisch.
Empfehlung
Würde ich diesen Film jemandem empfehlen? Ja, das würde ich. Ich hatte viel Spaß beim Ansehen des Films. Die Tatsache, dass ich nicht verstanden habe, was passiert, bis es gegen Ende aufgedeckt wurde, hat ihn noch spannender gemacht. Für mich war es ein erfüllender Film, und ich bin sicher, dass es für Sie genauso sein wird.
Wenn ihr euch gut amüsieren wollt oder Lust auf ein Abenteuer habt, dann ist dies der richtige Film für euch. Damit würde ich dem Film eine 7/10 Bewertung geben.
