   Every living thing will die one day, but when? I guess the main issue is temporal, but I'm not sure if everyone really wants to know when they will die. If we knew, what would we do, what would we stop doing? Maybe we would organize a farewell tour and say goodbye to everyone we would leave behind.

   After watching the 2018 movie The Professor, which occupied my mind with these and similar questions, I must admit that I came across more questions than satisfactory answers. Even though each of them is fictional, I think they are very much connected to real life.

   Professor Richard Brown is the main character of The Professor. After contracting lung cancer, he learns that his days are numbered and he makes a new start by changing everything he has done so far in his remaining life. This beginning is the beginning of the scenes that open the comedy and drama genre at the highest pitch for the viewers of the movie.

   Johnny Depp, who gives life to the character of Professor Richard Brown, does a tremendous job even though I didn't like a few scenes. He perfectly stages the change a person goes through from the moment he learns that he is going to die. When the change in question is towards his students, his wife, his daughter and his friends, the result is a near-perfect story of comedy and drama.

   I must say that I really liked the script of the movie and Johnny Depp's acting. There are some movies that you want to watch again immediately after watching them, and The Professor is one of those movies that fits this description for me.

   My favorite scenes in the movie were the moments when the character of Professor Richard Brown changed after he learned that he was going to die. The characters completely changes his attitude both at work and at home, and shows his strongest personality when he is at his weakest. His performance is entirely his own personal achievement and is very much in line with the script of the movie.

   Most of the scenes in The Professor take place between Professor Richard Brown and his students, as one might expect. The moments when he takes education out of the four walls with a roof and a door, into the schoolyard and even to the table in the bar were the most enjoyable moments of the movie.

   Since the drama aspect of the movie is paired with comedy, I can't say that it contains a lot of sentimentality, but I liked the way the drama was handled. You don't laugh as much as some comedy movies, but the fact that it manages to make you smile and think with its subtle jokes was the biggest plus.

   I think you should definitely watch the movie. There are a few scenes that I didn't like and found very unnecessary, but I don't want to talk about them because I think the positive contribution of the movie is quite high. I wish everyone who chooses to watch it a good time, saying that it wouldn't hurt to blink your eyes during a few seconds of ugliness among so much beauty.

Es una historia de comedia y drama, se enfoca a un profesor universitario el cual se ve enfrentado a la fatídica noticia de que tiene un cáncer en estadio 4 el cual le da solo un lapso de 6 meses de vida y eso le da un vuelco completo a su vida, denotándose esa influencia gigantesca en como vivirá sus últimos días de vida.

   The plot has a very good balance between being dramatic and having very pleasant moments of comedy, apart from its well-achieved moments, the film has a notable message regarding the imperative need not to fall into mediocrity, live life, learn from defeats and so on, all this without feeling preachy, and, despite the fact that the messages are not the most complex and dense in the world, they are worked on in a good way. The narrative is curious, it decides to be divided into 6 parts which show how the protagonist's life progressively deteriorates and the perception that he is having regarding his illness, being a clear allegory to the stages of mourning, making each segment have your own feeling and have some unique character.

   La trama tiene un muy buen equilibrio entre ser dramática y tener momentos de comedia muy agradables, fuera de sus momentos bien logrados el filme tiene un mensaje denotable con respecto a la imperiosa necesidad de no caer en la mediocridad, vivir la vida, aprender de las derrotas y demás, todo esto sin el hecho de sentirse sermonero, y, a pesar de que los mensajes no son los más complejos y densos del mundo son trabajados de buena forma. La narrativa es curiosa, decide dividirse en 6 partes las cuales van mostrando como progresivamente se va deteriorando la vida del protagonista y la percepción que este va teniendo con respecto a su enfermead, siendo una clara alegoría a las etapas del duelo haciendo que cada segmento tenga su propio sentimiento y tenga cierto carácter único.

   Obviously the character that stands out the most is the protagonist, right off the bat this may seem like the typical great man who does what he wants without caring about anything, however, little by little he is realizing that the epilogue of his life is about to happen. arrive having very interesting moments that go from stupid debauchery, through reflection and reaching acceptance; During this process of change it is nice to see how he tries to make his mark on those worthwhile students who could make the world a better place, his ultimate goal being to nudge them in the right direction as well as give them the thanks to both his family and the friends he loved. The rest of the characters do not shine as much, these are used mostly as support points for the protagonist, so they do not stand out so much, one or the other, such as Peter and Claire, show what it means to be a good friend and a student with potential, respectively, giving value to the protagonist because of the way he relates to them.

   Evidentemente el personaje que mas destaca es el protagonista, de buenas a primeras este puede parecer el típico hombre genial que hace lo que quiere sin importarle nada, no obstante, poco a poco este se va dando cuenta de que el epílogo de su vida está por llegar teniendo momentos muy interesantes que van desde el desenfreno estúpido, pasando por la reflexión y llegando a la aceptación; Durante este proceso de cambios es agradable ver cómo intenta dejar su huella a aquellos estudiantes que valen la pena y que podrían hacer del mundo un mejor lugar, siendo su último objetivo el hecho de darles un empujón en la dirección correcta, así como también darle las gracias tanto a su familia como a los amigos que amaba. El resto de personajes no brillan tanto, estos se emplean mayormente como puntos de apoyo para el protagonista por lo que no destacan tanto, uno que otro como Peter y Claire demuestran lo que significa ser un buen amigo y una estudiante con potencial respectivamente dándole valor al protagonista por la forma en que se relaciona con estos.

   
   

   

   
   

   The Professor is a comic film with an expected sad ending, at some points it feels reflective due to the occasional little speech that the protagonist gives, since these do not feel preachy or boring since they never abruptly interfere with the main focus of the film . It is for all this that it deserves 4 stars out of 7, a very balanced film in terms of comedy and drama, very entertaining, especially for those who appreciate the important art of teaching.

   The Professor es un filme cómico con un final triste esperado, en algunos puntos se siente reflexivo por algún que otro pequeño discurso que da el protagonista siendo que estos no se sienten sermoneros ni aburridos puesto que nunca interfieren de forma abrupta con el enfoque principal del filme. Es por todo ello que merece 4 estrellas de 7, una cinta muy balanceada en lo que respecta a comedia y drama, muy entretenida sobre todo para aquellos que aprecian el importante arte de enseñar.
