The Quake Movie - Earthquake of Suspense and Excitement@vinamaulida477d
Today I decided to watch The Quake and it was indeed a different experience full of tension and excitement The movie is Norwegian and was produced in 2018 and it tells the story of a devastating earthquake that threatens the city of Oslo The idea itself is not new but the execution was very good and I felt that the movie offers a more exciting and real experience than the usual disaster movies we see in Hollywood.
I think what distinguishes the movie is that it tries to be very realistic not just scenes of explosions and visual effects and thats it The focus here was on the human side and this is what made me interact with the characters and feel the danger as if I was living with them at the moment The hero is a geologist who expected the earthquake to happen but as usual no one believed him and when the disaster started to happen the journey of escape and survival was full of tension and breathtaking.
The visual effects were very good for a movie that is not a large production and the soundtrack played a big role in increasing the tension and sense of danger Every scene was carefully calculated and there was no boring filler and this made me focus from beginning to end.
I think the movie is worth watching especially for people who like natural disaster movies that are not just empty action but have depth and a good story Of course it will not be as good as movies like 2012 or San Andreas but it is different in its method and this is what I liked about it.
I hope to see more movies of this type because European cinema sometimes offers different and distinctive things than what we are used to in American movies If you like movies that make you nervous all the time and waiting to see what will happen in the next scene then The Quake will be a good choice for you.
›Anyone seen The Quake yet? April streaming news!@unbiasedwriter2661d
Yesterday, I wrote an article about all the movies and TV series that will come to Hulu in April 2019. If you have read some of my articles, you probably know that I am a big fan of Scandinavian movies, especially those typical crime stories.
As I streamed the three Department Q movies on Hulu before Christmas, I had such a great time. I recently watched The Guilty on Hulu, but that was a mixed experience as I had no clue what to expect before I started, and thus, it became a bit boring. But, still - if you haven't read my The Guilty review yet, go ahead and do so now!
Well, now it was time to write my article on what's coming to Hulu in April 2019, and yet again I got a very positive surprise from the Scandinavian market.
Take a look at the clip above to see the highlights on Hulu in April 2019, or you can click this link to visit the movie itself on YouTube.
The Quake on Hulu in April
The Quake is a Norwegian movie, and it isn't the typical brutal crime story, but instead, it is the second catastrophe movie from Norway in the last couple of years. The Quake had its premiere on theaters in Norway during the summer of 2018, and it was a giant success. It is the follow-up movie to a movie named The Wave. I saw The Wave, and I actually had a great time watching it. In The Wave, we meet a family living in Geiranger, one of the most beautiful places on the earth. Here you can see the amazing fjords of Norway, surrounded by impressing mountains. But, what would happen if the mountains started to move, only to fall into the fjord? A giant wave would arise and destroy the entire village. Guess what is going to happen in The Wave?
In The Quake, we meet the hero from the first movie once again. He is utterly depressed, and he doesn't really want to do anything. But, a friend of him dies in an "accident" in Oslo that draws his attention. What is going on in the capital? Is there a big earthquake coming up soon that will destroy the city and kill thousands of people?
Yet again, I haven't seen it yet, but I will for sure watch it in April 2019 as it gets to Hulu. But, have you seen The Quake? I would love to hear your thoughts about it, and whether or not you liked it! I will do my best to write a review here on Steemit after actually watching it. It might be that I will lack patience and find somewhere else to watch it, as it only comes to Hulu in the latter half of April, and I am not the patient kind of guy really.
What's coming to Amazon Prime in April?
I just published an article about what's coming to Amazon Prime in April 2019 as well. Normally they have a very similar list to the content coming to Hulu, and that is true in April 2019 as well. But, The Quake will not come to Amazon Prime, meaning that Hulu is the solution if you want to stream this movie. There will, however, be a couple of interesting movies coming to Amazon Prime in April 2019 as well. One of them is the movie Overboard, a really lame movie, but still - if you want a comedy that will make you laugh and bring a smile to your face, this might be it. It is not an intelligent comedy, but instead, one you will be able to foretell after watching it for 5 minutes. But still, that is often the way we like things to be, so it might be interesting to watch it on Amazon Prime in April 2019.
I haven't watched it either, but the movie A Quiet Place seems to be an interesting movie. It made me think of Birdbox as I watched the trailer, even though it is a quite different story. In Birdbox the people are not allowed to open their eyes, meaning that they have to walk blindfolded everywhere. In A Quiet Place, they are allowed to look with their eyes, but they are not allowed to open their mouths and make noises. They have to be entirely quiet, if not, they will be hunted down by something/someone. I have no clue who that something or someone is, but I guess I will find out if I ever sit down to watch this movie.
The fifth season of the Amazon Original series named Bosch will also come to Amazon Prime in April 2019. I watched some episodes in the first season, but it didn't manage to get me addicted.
April will be an amazing month
After reading this, you might wonder why I believe April will be a fantastic month. There are two reasons for that. The most popular TV series in the world will premiere with its final season in April, and the movie most likely to end up as the highest grossing movie in 2019 will have its cinema premiere in April 2019. If you follow the movie and TV business you for sure know what I am writing about.
April will give us the final season of Game of Thrones on HBO, and Marvel fans all across the world cannot wait to see what will happen as Avengers: Endgame will hit the theaters worldwide in around a month from now. And to be honest, I cannot wait for it myself. I don't know why, but I am just so excited about the upcoming Avengers movie and I really look forward to watching it. Hopefully, I will be able to watch it straight away!
What are you looking forward to in April 2019? Is Game of Thrones season 8 at the top of your list, or is it Avengers: Endgame? Or maybe it is The Quake? I would love to hear your thoughts!
