Welcome my dear noble travelers of the internet and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, lately I have been watching some works by the Japanese studio Ghilbli because it is one of my favorites, the film that brings us together today titled "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari" tells a classic Japanese story full of fantasy and was also recommended by the artificial intelligence Bing, so it had everything necessary to interest me. Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros nobles del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, últimamente he estado viendo algunas obras del estudio japonés Ghilbli debido a que es uno de mis favoritos, el filme que hoy nos reúne titulado "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari" relata un cuento clásico japonés cargado de fantasía siendo además una recomendación por la inteligencia artificial Bing por lo que tenía todo lo necesario para interesarme. Sin más que agregar prepárense para cortar bambús pues estamos por comenzar.

Kaguya-hime no Monogatari was released in 2013, is based on an ancient Japanese tale, the film was directed by Isao Takahata and produced by Studio Ghilbli, has a duration of 2 hours and 17 minutes. It is a dramatic fantasy animation, the story revolves around an old bamboo cutter who one day finds a bright bamboo which contained inside a tiny and beautiful maiden which he decides to raise together with his wife, coupled with being born of a plant the little one begins to grow in an accelerated way denoting from the go that everything around this girl will be loaded with a lot of magic and inexplicable things.

Es una animación de fantasía dramática, la historia gira en torno a un anciano cortador de bambú el cual un día se encuentra con un bambú brillante el cual contenía en su interior a una diminuta y hermosa doncella la cual decide criar en conjunto con su esposa, aunado a haber nacido de una planta la pequeña comienza a crecer de forma acelerada denotando así desde el vamos que todo alrededor de esta niña estará cargado de mucha magia y cosas inexplicables.

The animation seems curious to me because it presents a different style to the rest of this studio's films. They decide to go with the purest style of old drawings which are very beautiful. The backgrounds have a style that makes them look like a painting. which is curious and pleasant, despite having a different style it has a very pleasant fluidity and simply beautiful colors.
La animación me parece curiosa debido a que presenta un estilo diferente al resto de películas de este estudio, decide optar por ir al más puro estilo de dibujos antiguos los cuales son muy hermosos, los fondos tienen un estilo que los hace ver cómo una pintura lo que es curioso y agradable, pese a tener un estilo diferente tiene una fluidez muy agradable y unos colores sencillamente bellos.

Por otro lado está la forma en que representa a la sociedad noble de aquellos tiempos cargado de mentiras, excentricidades, estatus y roles muy marcados; esto contrasta de buena forma con la primera ambientación debido a que representa esa dualidad de los distintos estilos de vida de aquellos tiempos siendo algo que tiene una profunda importancia en la narrativa.

The plot does not really have a fixed direction at first, it focuses on Kaguya's life and her different experiences, however then it does something with everything it shows because it is shaped thanks to the impositions, restrictions and demands that They put it on the protagonist and how that affects her and her lifestyle. From a philosophical point of view, the film makes a differentiation between the lifestyles of both high society and commoners, with the former having an exaggerated concern for status and other banalities, while the latter focus in overcoming the difficulties they have in meeting their basic needs by making their lives simpler by enjoying simple things. The duration is perfect and every minute is used intelligently to expand the initial conflict or to provide elements that will be used for the final outcome, all this makes it not feel boring because it has a captivating story.
La trama no tiene realmente un rumbo fijo en un primer momento, está va enfocando la vida de Kaguya y sus distintas vivencias, no obstante luego hace algo con todo lo que muestra debido a que va dándole forma gracias a las imposiciones, restricciones y exigencias que le van poniendo a la protagonista y en como eso repercute en ella y en su estilo de vida. De cara a un punto de vista filosófico el filme hace una diferenciación entre los estilos de vida tanto de la alta sociedad como de los plebeyos, siendo que los primeros tienen una preocupación exagerada por el estatus y demás banalidades, por su parte los segundos se centran en superar las dificultades que tienen para cubrir sus necesidades básicas haciendo sus vidas más simples al disfrutar de las cosas simples. La duración es perfecta y cada minuto es usado de forma inteligente para expandir el conflicto inicial o para ir proporcionando elementos que serán utilizados para el desenlace final, todo esto hace que no se sienta aburrida debido a que tiene una historia atrapante.

The rest of the characters are nice and although they are drivers for the plot they have a well-established personality, the best representatives of this are Kaguya's parents, the rest are used mostly to demonstrate the lifestyle of the nobles or the peasants, they do not really have anything that makes them stand out.
Es interesante la forma en que se va desarrollando a la protagonista, se le da una caracterización agradable con una personalidad bien planteada, a lo largo de la cinta se va viendo sus momentos de felicidad y desidia, siendo estos bien justificados y sintiéndose como resultados lógicos derivados de la imposición de cosas que desde el vamos está claro que no llegarán a buen puerto; lo anterior se consolida con las diferentes crisis que está va teniendo producto de sentirse impotente de cambiar su destino. El resto de personajes son agradables y pese a que son impulsadores para la trama tienen una personalidad bien establecida, los mejores representantes de esto son los padres de Kaguya, el resto son utilizados mayormente para demostrar el estilo de vida de los nobles o de los campesinos, no tienen realmente nada que los haga destacar.
Kaguya-hime no Monogatari is an interesting animation that exemplifies the way in which a person is discouraged product of the impositions and having to stop doing the things he likes, this gives him a certain tragic theme that is becoming stronger and stronger in the film and that prevails until its end leaving that bitter taste of not having a beautiful and happy resolution, I am surprised that an animation for children maintains that message but without a doubt it is well worked and is agreed with the different things that were shown throughout the plot. It is for all the above that it deserves 4 stars out of 7, an animation with a fairly mature theme and that has a well-worked message about the consequences of going and doing things that are not desired.
Kaguya-hime no Monogatari es una animación interesante que va ejemplificando la forma en como una persona se va desanimando producto de las imposiciones y de tener que dejar de hacer las cosas que le gustan, esto le da cierta temática trágica que se va haciendo cada vez más fuerte en el filme y que prevalece hasta su final dejando ese sabor amargo de no tener una resolución bonita y feliz, me sorprende que una animación para niños mantenga ese mensaje pero sin dudas está bien trabajado y queda acordé con las diferentes cosas que fueron mostradas a lo largo de la trama. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4 estrellas de 7, una animación con una temática bastante madura y que tiene un mensaje bien trabajado sobre las consecuencias de ir y hacer cosas que no se desean.
