Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are well. How many movies do we watch? What kind of movies do we watch all the time? If we have time? If time becomes then watch a movie.

The movie I will talk about today is a completely different movie. There are no apps, no suspense, and no mystery, but still, I like the movie very much because the movie is completely emotional. The story of this movie is a real event as shown in the movie. True story movies are always amazing and this is no exception.

    image.png Source

First, it is shown that a man comes from a country to America to fulfill his father's dream but the man is completely illiterate and can't speak English which is his biggest moment.

When the officer approached, there were some restrictions, because of the war in the country he was coming from, in America, no citizen of that country would be allowed to enter his country, because of which he could not come to America if he wanted to, and he had a bigger problem than that he could not speak English.

    image.png Source

I like it because many times people are in danger in many ways this guy is in danger and his acting in the lead role is commendable I like his acting very much.

The movie shows a customs officer who lives alone he is not right in his policy he is stuck in this airport to go on a big way The resident wants to put the man in jail because of which he gives illegal intelligence by telling him when the duty change of the security guard you will leave the airport then you You can live the way you want to live and you will not have any problem

but the main character hero of this movie who does not support his heart may be educated but not a brainless person. This man has no place to stay like the food he has no provision at the airport at night. He sleeps in the chair and goes to the bathroom at the airport with great difficulty to keep himself clean and thus he continues to suffer day after day.

    image.png Source

In the meantime, he has a relationship with a girl and it breaks up in between many things that are shown which will impress you a lot. And each airport has a very good relationship with the shopkeepers and cleaner staff or everyone who works related to the airport due to which they get help from everyone.

The movie started as beautifully as the ending is also beautiful because she has a lot to understand and their love story is unresolved, her deep relationship with all the airport staff and a very beautiful emotional movie. Hope you like this movie. You will like to see the committee.

One of my friends, who is a great fan of Tom Hanks, suggested two movies of him. As I hadn't watched those two movies yet, she insisted on watching them. Actually, she suggested it to me yesterday and I just finished writing. You won't believe it as I was scolding myself why didn’t I watch it before, It was such a heart-touching movie. So thought of sharing with you guys. If you haven’t watched it yet, then add it to your watchlist. Trust me it's a good one to watch.

Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks) came to New York from a country named Krakozhia. When he went to check out from the airport he found out that his passport is not permitted for traveling inside the city. He is an illegal citizen. When they seized his passport and ticket told him that a civil war broke out in his country and as a result, no one can travel from or to his country and now he is a stateless immigrant there. Another problem is Navorski doesn’t understand English so he didn’t get what happened and what they have just told him. He just understood he is unacceptable and can't go to the city. They even give him some food voucher and some minute voucher for calling at his home and stay at the terminal as long as no decision comes. So currently he needs to just stay at the terminal.

As the movie progressed we got to see many sad things like watching the war news on tv but couldn’t understand what's written in English, losing the food vouchers, no good place for sleeping. Being rejected every day when he goes to apply for a visa to enter New York City. He manages his food somehow, made some friends even somehow he managed to win over the all shops workers heart by an incident took place in the terminal where Navorski showed his generosity.

Well in the meantime when Navorski wasn’t leaving the terminal Dixon who was Field Commissioner of the terminal and soon was going to get promoted wanted to get rid of this problem. So one day he made the gates guardless and triggered Navorski to get out of the terminal. Because if he goes out of the terminal then he will be illegal but that will not be his problem. The city will take that responsibility but somehow Navorski didn’t leave. That was also a good part of the movie to watch.

Another great part of the movie is Amelia Warren who is a flight attendant. He recently got cheated on by his boyfriend who is already married to another woman. Navroski hears that conversation and tries to talk to her. Gradually they became friends and Navroski realized that he was almost in love with her. Amelia firstly took Navroski as a contractor but as Dixon was furious about Navroski's being in the terminal he(d) asked Amelia to tell about Navroski. Even Amelia misunderstood Navroski. Navroski told her about his visit to New York.

This was the main part of the movie I was waiting to know from the beginning. Navroski always had a jar with him. Even I was curious about what's inside of it. Later he opened it and showed a picture of 57 jazz singers and his father was a great fan of jazz music. His father wrote them letters for their autographs and it took them 40 years to get those autographs and before that, his father died. Among all those jazz singers one was left to sign and for that Navorski came to New York to fulfill his father's desire to get the last signature. After hearing his reason for visiting here we get to see Amelia kissing Navroski.

The war ended after nine months. He had finally found the way to go to his home. Navroski was celebrating when Amelia comes and gives him an emergency visa for one day visit to New York which she managed by a sacrifice only for Navroski to fulfill his Father's desire. But Dixon didn’t sign on that and forced Navorski to leave his country by the flight. If he enters New York city then his friends on the terminal he made would have to pay the price. He blackmailed him and forced him to leave. Everyone was sad at this and his friends were also angry at him and were calling him a coward because he said he would fight for his rights. But the sad part started.

Well, in the very last scene we get to see Navroski in a taxi and when the taxi driver asked him where to go he replied with a smile, "I am going home." Everyone was relieved with that scene and I said to myself, "Ah! That was such a nice movie." Really it was. It would touch your heart and make you emotional with the innocence of his face. Maybe his struggle would make you sad too. Or you may get tears of happiness. In a sentence, I would say, it's an amazing heart-touching movie everyone would love it. I would like to rate it 9 out of 10.

  3. La Terminal / The Terminal (2004): Movie Review@miguelpeliculas1905d

Steven Spielberg gave us another very good film, which we can hardly label as a work of art, but it is nonetheless less entertaining and with a rather interesting background, becoming a satire of our current society on many of the silly rules that we have, where we can make a person "unacceptable" on any technicality.

The story revolves around Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks), who has the worst luck in the world, as he arrives in the United States while his native country suffers a coup. This war causes that his small nation is not recognized internationally, so it becomes a section, and we know very well what Uncle Sam is like with undocumented immigrants.

Thanks to this, he is locked in the New York airport, since he cannot enter American territory due to lack of a visa, but neither can he be sent elsewhere, since his passport no longer has any validity. To increase his misfortune, he is completely related to English and his money is no longer worth anything, so he will need his ingenuity to be able to survive in the air terminal where he is trapped.

Although you think that it may be impossible for something like this to happen, the truth is that it is inspired by the true story of an Iranian, Mehran Karimi Nasseri, who was trapped for 18 years at the Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris, where an 8 of August 1988 and would leave in 2006 as I need to be hospitalized for health problems.

The antagonist of this film is Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci), a barely scrupulous migration officer who, in his quest for power and to get better working conditions, represents very well what the American system has become, where it stopped importing. that in front of you is a person, with feelings, dreams and goals, just like you, becoming more important to comply with the laws.

We will also meet other secondary characters, who when working in an airport are more used to living with ghosts, people who arrive and leave quickly, so this European will change many things. At the same time we will meet the beautiful Amelia Warren (Catherine Zeta-Jones), a stewardess with whom he comes to have a quasi-romantic relationship, exploring how interpersonal relationships can be affected when jobs define you as a person.

In conclusion, you have to see it, this is one of the few tapes that I can recommend blindfolded. When you learn more about the story of this insightful character and see how love and a promise can lead you to endure anything, you will come to love this movie as much as I do...

  4. Terminal (Film): Review.@martinmcfly2730d

Sometimes I like to see a film from the impression I get from his Trailer, in this case, Terminal, the first film directed by its director, Vaughn Stein, and starring Margot Robbie, caught my attention thanks to a well-made neo-noir style image, however, once I saw the film, I was left with the impression that the only thing I like was precisely that, lol appearances deceive. That's why today I'll talk about it.

    ---

    Year: 2018 Category: Neo-Noir, Thriller.
Director: Vaughn Stein. Cast: Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, Dexter Fletcher, Max Irons, Mike Myers.

    Plot

The film tells the story of two hitmen who accept the work of a mysterious crime man, what they do not know is that on the way they will meet a young waitress named Annie, which will complicate everything for everyone.

    Opinion

A fatally-ill teacher possibly on the verge of suicide, a rather strange janitor, a couple of hitmen who have been entrusted with a job, and a man hidden in the shadows named Franklyn and who sees everything through various monitors, all them connected by one person, Annie, who has made a deal with Franklyn to become his only hitwoman in exchange for him getting a specific person for her.

The film was entertaining, I can not deny it, however, I think that is due to the way in which the story is told, the information that the director and the screenwriters give to the viewer is very little in such a way that everything becomes a puzzle, but a puzzle that we do not have a chance to piece together but we have to see how it is put together itself, leaving on the road a couple of twists that try to surprise but that do not get it.

The strongest point of the film is its visual work, the neo-noir aesthetic is very well made, the shots well made, and the camera in the right places, on the other hand, the weak point of the film is probably the story that is telling us, which gives the impression of being very banal and simple, what gives it complexity is the way it is narrated, Otherwise, the same story would not even be a bit entertaining.

The performances are fine, Margot Robbie is the one who carries the most weight of the film and she does it in a great way, but without highlighting too much, it is not her best work either. Simon Pegg, Dexter Fletcher and Max Irons do an acceptable job, but none manages to stand out more than the other. Finally, the work done by Mike Myers seems incomplete, a part of what he does seems very well done, but the other part is not convincing enough.

Definitely I think Terminal is a movie that I do not regret to see, but that without doubt I would not see again, there is not much I can get from this movie, the entertainment it generates is due to the way in which the story is told, and neither is it anything too bright. I highlight exclusively his visual aesthetics.

    Trailer

    Score

    5/10

The film is something entertaining but not enough to recommend it, if one day it is on TV and you have absolutely nothing else to see, you can see it and it will serve as an accurate entertainment product, otherwise, I can not think any reason to see it.

  5. The Terminal – another endearing Tom Hanks classic@gooddream2809d

I used to spend a lot of time in airports as the first 2 jobs that I ever had were both traveling jobs because they paid well if you were willing to live your life out of a suitcase.

    63e03d10e4aea5d09f3c1c03f1142e13.jpg

Tom Hanks’ character has a slightly more immersive situation as far feeling as though he lives at an airport is concerned as he actually does have to live at an airport. While in transit, civil war breaks out in his home country of Krakozhia(fictional) and since his country has been dissolved, he can not enter the United States (I don’t think this is how that system works, it might)

    the-terminal-main_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqOjwtMIBfBvsmIG0UzgZgYPhrltaUY50V0um6z1LiQa0.jpg

He speaks very little English, he knows no one, and his currency is useless because of the fact that there is not country to back up the cash anymore. Obviously this presents some problems. He can not go home, and he can not enter the United States. I think that in this situation he would probably be entitled to some sort of asylum but whatever, that would ruin the entire premise for the film.

He ends up making friends and his situation gets the attention of many of the other staff of the airport who are sympathetic to his situation and do what they can to help him as he ends up helping many of them along the way as well just by being a genuinely nice guy.

    the-terminal-movie3.jpg

It is a story filled with truly touching moments that I suppose are typical of Hanks movies but I think if I had to choose my favorites of what he has done this would definitely be in the top 5. It’s mostly a drama, but it has elements of comedy and romance in it as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would gladly watch it again.

It isn’t exactly action-packed but I actually feel that the story is exactly as long as it needs to be because none of the scenes in the film’s #### minutes seem unnecessary or superfluous. Everything that happens is needed for the story. Tom does a great job impersonating what I think is an eastern European accent and at one point he speaks what I think is Russian and it seems legit. I’ll have to ask a Russian.

I am currently sitting in a terminal of my own at the moment and thankfully I only have a few more hours here. As is traditional with Hanks' work, this movie made a ton of money

    8 / 10

  7. Terminal 2018 thoughts@mediaguy3013d

I like the style of this trailer. It does not tell you much about the plot though so here is a summary.

In the dark heart of a sprawling, anonymous city, TERMINAL follows the twisting tales of two assassins carrying out a sinister mission, a teacher battling a fatal illness, an enigmatic janitor and a curious waitress leading a dangerous double life. Murderous consequences unravel in the dead of night as their lives all intertwine at the hands of a mysterious criminal mastermind hell-bent on revenge.

Ok, maybe I am alone on this but I hate hate hate hate movies where there are “twisting tales” of multiple people's individual stories intertwined because I have found them to be terrible. Well I am not exactly sure if it is this type of movie so I will have to wait for more details to be released about the film

  8. 📽 THE TERMINAL [Steven Spielberg, 2004] - Movie review by Mandibil@mandibil3503d

For obvious reasons, Tom Hanks feels extraordinarily at home in this transformed Robinson Crusoe story. He did a very memorable job with the guy alone on a deserted island in Zemeckis "Cast Away". That experience pays of in this similar situation, about a man stranded "alone" in a "deserted" terminal, that he cannot leave and have to find a way to survive in.

Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks) arrives at JFK airport in New York at the same time as a coup d´etat occurs in his fictional eastern European homeland called Krakozhia. This creates a disturbance in the US bureaucrazy that deems him unable to enter the country. At the same time he cannot return to his home country, since all flights there are cancelled. He has no country so his passport is invalid, which means he cannot get a visa. He is basically stuck in the customs bureaucracy and have to find a way to survive in the terminal area of the airport until the situation sorts itself out for him.

The chief of the airport customs and security Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci), enforces the restrictions put on Viktor. He tries his best to figure out a way to get him of the premises, but language barriers and a certain amount of resistance from Viktor ensures that he stays where he is. Dixon´s relation to Viktor is largely based on his own fear of non-conformity and lack of ability to put himself in the place of others. Furthermore Dixon has a big promotion set in his sights and that adds to the tension between the two.

Despite Viktors lack of language skills he quickly figures out ways to survive and create a space for himself. He also gets acquainted with a number of the employees working at the terminal and his well meaning, goodhearted and somewhat exotic appearance, makes it easier for him to make friends. Even the illegal alien, Indian fellow, who has a sadistic pleasure out of watching people slip on his newly wiped slippery floors, opens up and becomes a friend.

There are some overly sentimental aspects, like his very unlikely romantic entanglement with an extremely beautiful stewardess Amelia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), with whom he falls in love, but never will be able to have, since she is after a rich alpha male. Then there is his matchmaker service for the Hispanic worker, who has fallen in love with a female customs employee, who handles the application forms Viktor tries to get through the system on a daily basis.

But that aside, the story is very likable and the low key and sort of old school feel of the humor, is a bit of a relief, compared to other contemporary kinds of humorist movies. It takes a director of Spielberg´s stature to pull something like this off. It does have the same nationalistic tendencies that is also prevalent in other works of Spielberg, but it does not interfere with the overall story of Viktor and can more easily be excused.

Tom Hanks is the perfect actor for this role. In fact no other comes to mind for a role like this and he basically owns it. Even in the weakest parts of the plot and the story, he drags it home safely. This is an astonishing achievement and shows the talent he has for portraying ordinary people put in extraordinary circumstances in a lead that basically carries the whole movie on its shoulders. He knows how far he can take the slapstick and the caricatures, without overdoing it. There are more than a few very funny scenes that highlights Hanks´unique sense of humor and obviously quite improvised feel.

In a way, the story is about everything and everyone around him, trying to mold him into someone who fits the preconceptions of how you are supposed to behave. He is a nuisance to all those who cannot see beyond the stonewall of habits they live by, but he is a liberation to those who are able to see the beauty of simplicity and maybe even ignorance. Viktor is driven by a simple but personal task that he has promised his father to fulfill and in the end he manages to do so, with the help of those who can see. There are also some unconscious aspects in the plot that arrives after the patriot act and raised security after 9/11 that shines through.

The lightness of the characters, the humor and the story is very dear to me and this is a kind of movie that "they don´t make any more". I saw it recently with my 8 yo daughter and she loved every minute of it and laughed a lot at all the crazy situations. And she was also a bit baffled by my attempts to explain the bureaucracy he faces, which just goes to show the ridiculousness of it. A recommendable movie.
