Friends of the Movies & TV Shows community and #hive, it's but that everyone is well. Today I bring you another of my favorite sagas when it comes to movie productions. The "Twilight" saga is made up of five movies in total, being this adaptations of the books of the writer and film producer, Stephenie Meyer, under the same title of the movies. Behind this production there are several novelties, since initially the adaptation was in charge of Paramount Pictures, but the writer of the literary work did not agree with the direction they had given to her story, so the rights passed to Summit Entertainment and this time Stephenie Meyer was supervising everything so that the story was not so different from what she wrote. The Twilight saga is really good, it is a series of movies of the fantasy and romance genre, being 2008 when the first one came out.
In this post I will talk a little bit about each movie and at the end I will give my opinion of which one is my favorite, according to my personal experience watching the five movies. The first movie of 2008, Twilight, was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, while the script was in charge of Melissa Rosenberg, with the supervision of the original writer of the literary work (Stephenie Meyer). This first film tells the peculiar love story between a young girl named Bella Swan, who was played by Kristen Stewart, and a vampire named Edward Cullen (character given life by Robert Pattinson). When I initially saw this movie I quickly realized the touch of mystery that it has at the beginning since Bella did not know that vampires existed, but when she caught the attention of the young and attractive Edward, she realized that he was hiding something, so little by little she started to find out everything and that is where a series of events begins to develop that from my point of view, made this plot more attractive.
A vampire movie without wolves (the main enemies of vampires) is not a good production since all productions say that these are enemies. To be honest, I'm not a fan of vampire movies, they don't really call my attention, but since this is a romance movie, one of the genres I like the most, it caught my attention. I liked the plot, although I consider that it is not perfect, it has some flames, the performances in several scenes seemed a little forced, but in general I liked it, I had a really good time. Something that I did like was the fact that each case that happens in the film is explained and not like in many of the productions where everything happens quickly and the reason for the events that are happening is not explained.
In this first film we have the participation of Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black (an old childhood friend of Bella and member of the Quileute tribe), although in this initial film his participation is not as important as in the following ones. The reason for this is that according to the writer of the books, Jacob was only going to be used for Bella to discover that Edward Cullen was a vampire, but in the following books she saw the potential that this character had as a rival to Edward for the love of our protagonist. That is why Taylor's role in the first adaptation of Twilight to the big screen, did not have so much relevance within the plot, at least this was my perception. There is also the participation of other actors and actresses, such as Peter Facinelli who played the role of Carlisle Cullen (Edward's father), Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen (Edward's mother), Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen (Edward's sister), Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen (Edward's brother), Nikki Reed as Rosalie Halev and Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale. In addition to Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, who is Bella's father and also chief of police of Forks, a small and rainy town, ideal to be the place where vampires stay.
What did I think of the cast's performance? I really thought that each one of them did their job, they did it really well. Another thing to highlight are the special effects, which in a fantasy movie cannot be missing. The ones I was able to see really pleased me and gave an extra plus to the movie, also so that many people could understand the scenes. The locations where the film was shot were really beautiful, with a photography by Elliot Davis, very outstanding. Another point that is outstanding is the costumes, very striking, especially the vampires. Overall I liked this first film and I was eager to see more in due time.

The second Twilight movie was titled as New Moon. In this one it tells us how Edward Cullen decides to leave Bella for the good and safety of this, since being in a relationship with a vampire is not safe at all as it will always be in danger. That is where Jacob enters and his character becomes more relevant in the story, as he begins to be closer to Bella, he realizes that he is in love with her and wants to keep her company so that our protagonist overcomes the abandonment and her forgetfulness of the young Cullen. But as in the first film, the danger never passes for the young girl, each time new characters appear, vampires or wolves that can be a danger for one reason or another for Bella.
I liked this movie a little more than the first one, maybe because it was more focused at the beginning on the relationship between Bella and Jacob. Will these two characters end up together at the end of this second sequel. Well, I invite you to see the movie. The truth is that fantasy, romance and even suspense will not be missing in the plot. In New Moon I liked more the performances of the cast, and even the direction of the story, even though I always wanted Bella and Edward to stay together, Jacob hated it, but little by little I realized the importance it had in the plot, especially as the following sequels progressed.
Eclipse is the title of the third Twilight movie. In this third installment there is an imminent danger as it is forming a plot of vampires against the Cullen, especially a vampire who wants revenge on Edward for killing his partner and what more revenge than to hurt Bella. But the plot does not stop here because it is also focused on a love triangle, Bella, Edward and Bella, where the young woman must decide who to stay with. A romance movie where our protagonist has to choose between two characters, it is not a romance movie or even a movie where there is always an obstacle where the protagonists can't be together.
I liked this second movie, it was really outstanding, so far it was one of my favorites, although some scenes I disliked a little, but I'm not going to tell you about them so as not to give you anything ahead of time because if you haven't seen the movies yet. This third installment was directed by David Slade, he did a great job, I liked the twist of the story and that it became a little darker with respect to the previous two. Like New Moon, Eclipse has the appearance of the Volturi, a clan of vampires from Italy who are the ones who set the rules and since they have vampires of great power or gifts, they are very feared. I like how each time in the installments new characters appear, it is one of the things that can be highlighted in the films.

    Final Opinion
The last book of the saga was titled as Breaking Dawn and as we usually see in the adaptations to the big screen (cinema), the last installment is divided into two parts, especially if the production is successful and it was the case with Twilight, many fans in the world, both for the books and for the movies. Breaking Dawn part 1 was focused mainly on the marriage of Bella with Edward and their honeymoon, plus a number of things happen that put our protagonists in trouble. The second part of Breaking Dawn focuses on the events after Bella is transformed into a vampire. What I like most about each of the installments is how the plots are connected, the sequence of events and how they affect the next installment. How will this story end for Bella and Edward? What will happen to the Cullens? How will the love triangle end? These are some of the questions that we can know if we watch each one of this famous fantasy saga.
Twilight was one of the sagas with which I enjoyed the most, because a story like that is not normal, with a young girl with a vampire, a great creation of Fantasy, although this story was criticized by many, even by Robert Pattinson who hated his character but this was so professional that he played it in a good way, with professionalism. Deciding which movie of the five is my favorite is a little complicated, for each one I liked a lot, they told us something different from the expectation of some of our characters, especially Bella, Edward and Jacob. But if I have to choose my favorite is Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2, I saw very interesting and different things that I had not seen in the previous installments, plus in the second part new characters came out (vampires) with great gifts, I really enjoyed learning about each of them. I also liked the ending of this story and even more because the story was left open for another movie, although it has been several years, this project has not happened. Even so, this saga was very entertaining and I enjoyed it a lot, beyond some arguments in the plot.

  2. Pathological relationship in twilight movie!@vikbuddy1604d

    336793-PosterArt-db0366279d6a0a8751d64d50f8af3780.jpeg source

I recently had the nostalgia to see twilight the movie, Twilight in English, I must say that I have not seen it for years, capable since my adolescence, I have to admit that at my age of 16-18 I loved it. I was one of those people who, although knowing that the book and the films was obvious was directed for the audience of my age at that time, I really liked the truth.

That's why entering nostalgia I decided to see the movie again, at first I liked it a lot, as one of those movies that pass through television on a Sunday afternoon, but the problem was when I began to chop something in the head that Something was not right.

I am not a cinema critic, much less, I have not studied audiovisual so capable can not talk to you with the corresponded property, just noticing something. At the beginning they are two young people in love but Edward begins to be a bit invasive with Bella's time; When I was younger I thought it was because I wanted it but now I realized that with every decision that it takes by Bella does not let me make decisions of the identity usurpation that I noticed was at the baseball scene, Where without asking the plan he simply decides what to do, I understand that he has more knowledge but he also has a family, a life.

    3504.jpg source

Now, by Bella I also saw that when he met Edward, although before he did not have such a marked personality when he looks like the axis of his life is his boyfriend, he does not treat him as a being that is his team, he treats him as If the outside an authority figure.

The situation where I realized the pathological attachment with Edward was one of the final scenes, where the Bella after an accident with another vampire awakens in the hospital, and when her boyfriend mentions that maybe it would be better to finish she feels that vanishes in a vacuum, which without Edward has nothing else, there are no pillars as families and friends who hold it, there is only one. This fully incorrect behavior, as it thinks it, if one day goes, what is left?

  3. Twilight Saga (2008-2012) - Somehow this one is special.@minhajulmredol1798d

Often we watch movies because of the hype it creates and sometimes based on ratings and so many ways. Some have special recommendations too. Twilight Saga, most of us have heard or watched it already. I did too back in 2017 for the first time and watched once again a few days ago. Well, I will not compare its success or the ratings, because this one is a little bit different to me compared with the other movies I watch regularly.

    complete-twilight-saga.jpg source

In 2017, someone special recommended that I must watch this one. I collected all those movies and finished them within two days. I don't sit on the television usually. A few days ago I took the remote and was changing channels one after another to find a movie worth watching. Then I came across one of the movies of Twilight saga on &flix channel. Damn! I recall the days of 2017. Watching every single part and discussing. That enthusiasm to watch that one. So I sat down again and downloaded those five parts and finished them again. Trust me, I know the story but I was enjoying it very much like some little things are coming as new.

The Twilight Saga is based on the novels published by Stephenie Meyer. This series has five parts where the first one came in 2008 and the last one in 2012. It's a romantic fantasy type film. You will see the vampires and werewolves. In the lead roles, we would find Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan. Trust me, I had a huge crush on her when I watched for the first time. Still, I like her too much. Robbert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and also we get Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, who has also played a great role. If I try to sum up the whole story in short, it comes to the love of a human and a vampire. Bella was a human and Edward was from a vampire family. But their family accepted Bella quite easily but there were other problems too which they tackled one by one. And Jacob, he is the best friend of Bella who fell in love with her. As we know vampires are bloodsuckers so how the relationship between a vampire and a human lasts long is the real story as I mentioned before. There comes the enmity between vampires and werewolves which was also handled quite beautifully. So overall story-wise it was quite amazing.

If someone asks what's the most amazing part of twilight you would remember. I would reply, the first one where they both fall in love, where they start to get into the relationship, breaks the mystery. I mostly watched that as a romantic film. And was impressed with it, how Edward wanted not to change Bella. He could have been selfish to have her forever but he wanted to have her life. She wished to change from her own leaving everything behind and got somehow under difficult circumstances. Btw one secret, from 2k17 I got pretty interested in vampires. In different games, I go with the vampire nickname, hahaha. Seems like a kid, after watching the spider-man movie he starts dreaming about that in his real life. Actually, if I sum up a bit this one is something related to a part of my emotion from 2k17.

I have often heard the controversy about IMDB movie ratings. After seeing the twilight movie ratings I feel like, why is it so low, man? Maybe it did magic on me. No problem, some movies are loved by individuals. I am one of those. If you haven't watched the Twilight Saga yet, then go for the trailers and start watching.

  4. Saga Twilight - The ultimate mistake ?@ykretz1811d

    twi.jpg

It took me some time but I finally achieved to watch all the 5 Twilight movies.

I already made a post about the first movie of the saga and you will understand why there is only 2 post for 5 movies.

This post are only here because of Netflix, in France the saga just have been added to the catalog and I realized I'm not the only fool to watch them all because they were all in the top viewed movies in the country.

In the first movie I had enough things to share to make a pretty huge post. But even if this one is about the 4 next movies, I don't think I will have as much things to say as the first.

There is one main reason. The movies are empty.

    untitled.gif

I mean, most of the plots are useless, even they are even just false, characters misunderstanding the global story and making stupid things related to that. Or, just pointless reactions.

The whole last movie is about the bad guys thinking they have to kill the baby vampire. But the baby is not really a baby vampire. They just have to say it to the bad guy to stop them but there is a sentence said by a character "Once they have something in mind nobody can make them change their decision". But they finally talk to them instead of fighting and everything is good.

The movie is just "we are preparing an army to fight the bad guy because they won't listen to them", the ennemies arrive, the Cullen family talk to them. And it's over. They just had to send and email and the movie was just 5 minutes long.

And between that bad story plus there are only moments where they are making out, it takes too much time, it's really awkward. I understand that's because the movie aims a precise public and that's exactly what they want, but that makes it hard to watch if you are not a youg girls between 9 and 16 years old living during the years 2010.

I have to say I really enjoyed the first 20 minutes of the last movie ! And I totally identified the reason.

My favorite Tv Show is The office.

untitled.gif This show is known to be always embarrassing and nobody make it better than them. The difference between twilight's and The office's embarrassing moments is that The office totally know it's doing it. They aren't trying to make something else that finishes to be cringe.

But in the first minutes of the last film, they also do it that way, and I have to say they do it pretty great. All that moment is really funny and and extricated me few genuine smiles.

And that is probably the biggest emotion I felt during all the movies. Except embarrassment maybe.

I don't have much more things to say.

Most of the things I felt was boredom. I really feel like the 5 movies could last in 2 hours if you want to make it great, just have to suppress pointless side plots or timeloss scenes.

One of the reason I hated those movies is because the story is great. There's plenty of incredible ideas in it.

Bella being a sort of shield makes something great but we don't have any explanation.

We saw in the first movie she's vegetarian and that's maybe the reason she can avoid human blood so easily in the last movie. But here there's a problem too. We only see she doesn't eat meat in the first or maybe second movie and that's totally stopped after that, we just never hear of it anymore, even in the first movie it's quite discreet.

But that's not the only capacity she has when she's a new born vampire. They all say she's better than everyone else was at first. She's a better vampire than all the other. And we don't know why too.

The Cast of 5th movie is incredible ! But so badly exploited. When you have Rami Malek in your movie and I don't even remember anything he does in the movie except that water wall, it means something have been missed.

I'm happy I saw it one time in my life, but I really think I will never do it again.

I hope if yuou liked it you don't hate me now, I can understand and I hope somebody liked it because it clearly have few qualities, but that is absolutely not the ones I'm looking in a movie.
