Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, muchas veces decido darle una oportunidad a alguna película por el simple hecho de que su póster me llame la atención, el filme “The Uninvited” me causo interés precisamente por esa razón así que no dude en verla para saber de qué trataba. The Uninvited was released in 2009, it is a remake of the 2003 Korean film titled “Two Sisters”, the film was directed by Charles Guard and Thomas Guard, produced by DreamWorks Pictures, Cold Spring Pictures, etc., it has a duration of 1 hour and 27 minutes. It is a horror and mystery film, the story focuses on Anna, a young woman who was discharged from a psychiatric institution after 10 months, she was there after she tried to commit suicide after the accidental death of her mother, when she arrived home. She realizes that her father now has a relationship with the nurse who cared for her mother. Es un filme de terror y misterio, la historia se centra en Anna una joven que fue dada de alta de una institución psiquiátrica después de 10 meses, estaba allí después de que intentó suicidarse tras la muerte accidental de su madre, al llegar a su casa se da cuenta de que ahora su padre tiene una relación con la enfermera que atendió a su madre, tanto a ella como a su hermana no les gusta la idea debido a que consideran que tiene intenciones ocultas, y, desgraciadamente, más temprano que tarde se darán cuenta de que no estaban equivocadas.

Its plot is boring, throughout the film only elements are sought that try to feed the main mystery, however, all this is worked in a horrible way and does not really contribute anything more than the fact of having a slow pace, the moments of horror are quite crude and unfunny. Narratively it is a disaster, the film opts for an unexpected final twist in order to surprise the viewer, the problem is that said revelation is completely forced and absurd as it was not anticipated in some way so that it had some coherence. The film wastes a lot of time with things that contribute nothing, so its duration feels exaggerated even though it is short. This is because none of the things shown are important in the end and it only feels like a loss. of time.
Su trama es aburrida, a lo largo del filme solo se van buscando elementos los cuales intentan alimentar el misterio principal, sin embargo, todo esto es trabajado de forma horrible y no aporta realmente nada más que el hecho de tener un ritmo lento, los momentos de terror son bastante burdos y sin gracia. Narrativamente es un desastre, la cinta apuesta por dar un giro final inesperado a fin de sorprender al espectador, el problema es que dicha revelación es completamente forzada y absurda al no ser anticipada de alguna forma a fin de que tuviese algo de coherencia. La película pierde mucho el tiempo con cosas que no aportan nada por lo que su duración se siente exagerada pese a que sea poca, lo anterior se debe a que ninguna de las cosas que se muestran tiene importancia al final y solo se siente como una pérdida de tiempo.

Nada que destacar, todos son unos cascarones vacíos sin personalidad que solo hacen cosas porque la trama lo exige, incluso, la muerte de algunos es completamente inexplorada y carece de la relevancia que se supone debía tener, un apartado completamente desastroso.
The Uninvited doesn't know what it wants to be, it wastes a lot of time on things that in the end are not important so the aspects that are relevant lack even a decent job, ergo, all its revelations and final twists feel forced and out of place by lacking any iota of narrative congruence. It is for all of the above that it deserves 1 star out of 7, the idea of betting everything on a final twist is only interesting if it is done correctly, if not the case, you only have a mess like this film was.
The Uninvited no sabe que es lo que quiere ser, pierde mucho tiempo en cosas que al final no son importantes por lo que los aspectos que sí son relevantes carecen de un trabajo tan siquiera decente, ergo, todas sus revelaciones y giros finales se sienten forzados y fuera de lugar al carecer de cualquier ápice de congruencia narrativa. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1 estrella de 7, la idea de apostar todo por un giro final es interesante solamente si se realiza de la forma correcta, de no ser el caso, solo se tiene un bodrio como lo fue este filme.
