Welcome dear internet travelers with dysfunctional families and thank you for making a temporary stop in my post, there are families that have countless problems being that things that should be standard such as affection or concern for well-being are totally absent, that is precisely what the animated film "The Willoughbys" presents that works the subject with a completely absurd humor. Without further ado, get ready since this unconventional family adventure is about to begin.
Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet con familias disfuncionales y gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, existen familias que poseen incontable cantidad de problemas siendo que cosas que deberían ser estándar como el cariño o la preocupación por el bienestar se encuentran totalmente ausentes, es precisamente eso lo que presenta la cinta animada "The Willoughbys" que trabaja el tema con un humor completamente absurdo. Sin más que añadir prepárense puesto que esta aventura familiar poco convencional está por comenzar.

The Willoughbys was released in 2020, is based on the book of the same name written by Lois Lowry, directed by Kris Pearn and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, has a duration of 1 hour and 32 minutes. An animated comedy film, the story revolves around the Willoughbys brothers who are descendants of an adventurous family and with many achievements and love under their belt. Unfortunately all those glories were in the past leaving the current family with parents who can not stand their descendants, being that they treat them in a horrible and totally unpleasant way, but everything will change when the cat that tells the story decides to intervene and change the course of it.
The Willoughbys fue estrenada en 2020, está basada en el libro del mismo nombre escrito por Lois Lowry, dirigida por Kris Pearn y producida por Sony Pictures Animation, posee una duración de 1 hora y 32 minutos. Es una película animada de comedia, la historia gira en torno a los hermanos Willoughbys quienes son descendientes de una familia aventurera y con muchos logros y amor en su haber. Desgraciadamente todas esas glorias quedaron en el pasado dejando a la actual familia con unos padres que no soportan a sus descendientes, siendo que los tratan de forma horrible y totalmente desagradable, pero todo cambiara cuando el gato que narra la historia decida intervenir y cambiar el curso de la misma.

The soundtrack is extremely pleasant since it gives a musical context highly in line with everything is being the plot being a more than adequate accompaniment.
La banda sonora es sumamente agradable puesto que da un contexto musical sumamente acorde con todo lo se encuentra planteando la trama siendo un acompañamiento más que adecuado.

The animation is also proposed as something achieved in an excellent way, being very fluid and presenting a very vivid color palette that leave an extremely beautiful scenario that looks simply fantastic, to this is added the fact that it is quite particular in the design of its characters and its world in general leaving everything to have a quite remarkable personal stamp.
La animación también se plantea como algo logrado de forma excelente, siendo muy fluida y presentando una paleta de colores muy vivos que dejan un escenario sumamente hermoso que luce sencillamente fantástico, a esto se le suma el hecho de que es bastante particular en el diseño de sus personajes y de su mundo en general dejando que todo tenga un sello personal bastante destacable.

The construction of the world is completely absurd, it seeks to propose a seemingly normal world but with an absurd twist to give it a unique touch; in this way it manages to transform institutions and common things into something different without eliminating the concept itself of that something. The proposed context seeks to propose a world with small changes that make it different being that the task of construction is extremely well achieved.
La construcción de mundo es completamente absurda, busca plantear un mundo aparentemente normal pero con un giro absurdo para darle un toque único; de esta forma logra transformar instituciones y cosas comunes en algo diferente sin eliminar el concepto en sí de ese algo. El contexto planteado busca plantear un mundo con pequeños cambios que lo hagan diferente siendo que el cometido de la construcción se encuentra sumamente bien logrado.

The best way to define the plot is with 4 words: "Completely absurd and random" presents extremely pleasant comedy that hits the nail on the head in terms of being completely funny, although the absurd tone of the film never diminishes does not mean that throughout it interesting topics are not touched. One of the aforementioned is the dissonance that exists in the family, presenting an interesting concept from the beginning about the fact that there are complicated families and nothing can be done to change it; in turn it also plays with the theme that true unconditional love can come from the least expected people. All this results in a plot that seems to focus only on absurd things but that subtly puts on the table serious concepts that turn out to be worked on in a very good way, leaving a small reflection on them. In short, a narrative is left that takes things out of the sleeve to keep the film interesting but that despite everything is decently achieved.
La mejor forma de definir la trama es con 4 palabras: "Completamente absurda y aleatoria" presenta comedia sumamente agradable que da en el clavo en cuanto a ser completamente graciosa, pese a que el tono absurdo de la cinta nunca disminuya no quiere decir que a lo largo de la misma no se toquen temas interesantes. Uno de los antes mencionados es la disonancia que existe en la familia, presentando un concepto interesante desde el comienzo sobre el hecho de que hay familias complicadas y no se puede hacer nada para cambiarlo; a su vez también juega con el tema de que el verdadero amor incondicional puede venir de las personas menos esperadas. Todo esto da como resultado una trama que parece centrarse solamente en cosas absurdas pero que sutilmente pone sobre la mesa conceptos serios que resultan ser trabajados de muy buena forma, dejando una pequeña reflexión sobre los mismos. En síntesis se deja una narrativa que se saca cosas de la manga para mantener la cinta interesante pero que pese a todo se encuentra decentemente lograda.

The characters are extremely charismatic, however the characterization is mostly poor because they are mostly designed to cause grace and nothing more than that. If there is an exception such as the parents of the children or the nanny who easily evoke different feelings in the viewer because of the outstanding personality they present that makes them stand out, the rest does not stand out individually if the comedy scenes or their peculiar appearance are taken away.
Los personajes son sumamente carismáticos, sin embargo la caracterización es mayormente pobre debido a que los mismos están pensados mayormente para causar gracia y nada más además de ello. Si existe alguna excepción como por ejemplo los padres de los chicos o la niñera que fácilmente evocan diferentes sentimientos en el espectador por la personalidad tan destacada que presentan que los hace sobresalir, el resto no destaca individualmente si se les quita las escenas de comedia o su apariencia tan peculiar.

The Willoughbys is that type of film that only seeks to relax the viewer with different absurd moments, although it presents some interesting topics it is not that they are the most complex but it is always appreciated that they try to involve one or the other despite everything. All this leads her to deserve 3 stars of 7, an animated film that invites the viewer to enjoy every minute with good jokes and disconnect him from the world through laughter.
The Willoughbys es ese tipo de cinta que solo busca relajar al espectador con diferentes momentos absurdos, si bien presenta algunos temas interesantes tampoco es que sean los más complejos pero siempre se aprecia que intenten involucrar alguno que otro pese a todo. Todo ello la lleva a merecer 3 estrellas de 7, una cinta animada que invita al espectador a disfrutar cada minuto con buenos chistes y desconectarlo del mundo mediante la risa.
