Hello dear internet friends! How are you? Today I would like to talk about my favorites movies from my favorite director Tim Burton, who have a very singular and amazing style in every movie he makes. Without further ado,let's begin!
¡Hola queridos amigos de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy me gustaría hablar de mis películas favoritas de mi director favorito Tim Burton, el cual tiene un estilo muy singular y sorprendente en cada película que hace. Sin más preámbulos, ¡comencemos!
Mars Attacks!
Let's start with Mars Attacks, released in 1996 is a comedy and science fiction movie about green aliens that invade the earth and apparently come in peace but when they arrive they start killing all the people with laser beams, I really liked the special effects and a scene that makes me laugh a lot is where they exchange the head of a journalist (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) with that of her chihuahua dog for experimental purposes. With actors like Jack Nicholson, Gleen Close, Danny DeVito and a young Natalie Portman is one of the best movies I saw in my childhood.
Empezamos por Mars Attacks, estrenada en 1996 es una pelicula de comedia y ciencia ficción acerca de unos alienígenas verdes que invaden la tierra y que aparentemente vienen en paz aunque al llegar empiezan a matar con rayos láser a toda la gente, me gustaron mucho los efectos especiales y una escena que me da mucha risa es en donde intercambian la cabeza de una periodista (interpretada por Sarah Jessica Parker) con la de su perro chihuahua con fines experimentales. Con actores como Jack Nicholson, Gleen Close, Danny DeVito y una joven Natalie Portman es una de las mejores peliculas que vi en mi niñez.
Sleepy Hollow
We continue with Sleepy Hollow, one of the first horror movies I saw in my childhood, based on one of my favorite novels "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving. Released in 1999 and starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci. It's about detective Ichabod Crane who goes to investigate about the capitations that have been happening in the faraway town of Sleepy Hollow. There he will meet Katrina Van Tassel who belongs to one of the richest families in town. As Ichabod progresses he discovers that the serial killer is actually the Headless Horseman. I must say that I absolutely loved the setting of the movie and the costumes, I never get tired of watching it.
Seguimos con Sleepy Hollow, una de las primeras películas de terror que vi en mi niñez, basado en una de mis novelas favoritas "La Leyenda de Sleepy Hollow" de Washington Irving. Estrenada en 1999 y protagonizada por Johnny Depp y Christina Ricci. Trata sobre el detective Ichabod Crane el cual va a investigar sobre las capitaciones que han estado sucediendo en el pueblo lejano de Sleepy Hollow. Allí conocerá a Katrina Van Tassel la cual pertenece a una de las familias mas ricas del pueblo. A medida que Ichabod avanza descubre que el asesino en serie en realidad es el Jinete sin cabeza. Debo decir que amé totalmente la ambientación de la pelicula y el vestuario, nunca me canso de verla.
Edward Scissorhands
Edward Scissorhands is one of the most brutal movies I have ever seen. Released in 1990 and starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. It is about a young man with scissors instead of hands as it was built from a robot but its creator died before finishing it, I really like the personality of Edward as it is innocent and kind despite his appearance because when I saw it for the first time I thought it was an evil character, also makes a nice couple with Kim Boggs (Winona Ryder). For me it is one of Tim Burton's best movies and one of the ones I liked to see since my dad had a copy on VHS.
Edward Scissorhands es una de las peliculas mas brutales que he visto. Estrenada en 1990 y protagonizada por Johnny Depp y Winona Ryder. Trata de un joven con tijeras en lugar de manos ya que fué construido partiendo de un robot pero su creador murió antes de terminarlo, me gusta mucho la personalidad de Edward ya que es inocente y bondadoso a pesar de su apariencia ya que cuando la vi por primera vez pensaba que era un personaje malvado, también hace una linda pareja con Kim Boggs (Winona Ryder). Para mi es una de las mejores peliculas de Tim Burton y de las que mas me gustaba ver ya que mi papá tenía una copia en VHS.
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
We continue with "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" released in 2005 and starring Johnmmy Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Freddie Highmore, one of my favorite children's movies based on one of my favorite novels of the same name written by Roald Dahl. It is about a boy who wins a golden ticket to win a ride inside Willy Wonka's chocolate factory which he attends with his grandfather, once there Charlie is the poorest child of the group since the other children are millionaires, at the end of the tour Charlie turns out to be the winner of the tour, whose prize is the factory but Willy refuses to let Charlie take his family to live with him in the factory, he rejects the offer, but then Willy agrees and so Charlie and his family go to live in the factory. It is a very entertaining movie with very good special effects which I never get tired of watching.
Seguimos con "Charlie y la Fábrica de Chocolate" lanzada en 2005 y protagonizada por Johnmmy Depp, Helena Bonham Carter y Freddie Highmore, una de las películas infantiles que más me gusta basada en una de mos novelas favoritas del mismo nombre escrito por Roald Dahl. Se trata de un niño que gana un ticket dorado para ganar un paseo dentro de la fábrica de chocolates de Willy Wonka al cual asiste con su abuelo, una vez allí Charlie es el niño más pobre del grupo ya que los demás niños son millonarios, al final del recorrido Charlie resulta ser el ganador del recorrido, cuyo premio es la fábrica pero Willy se niega que Charlie lleve a su familia a vivir con él en la fábrica rechaza la oferta, aunque luego Willy accede y así Charlie y su familia se van a vivir a la fábrica. Es una pelicula muy entretenida y con muy buenos efectos especiales la cual tampoco me canso de ver.
Alice In Wonderland
Last but not least "Alice in Wonderland" released in 2010 and starring Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikovska, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter among others. I must say that this movie is my favorite version of the story written by Lewis Carroll. I must say that the special effects, the setting is incredible and the characters are played to perfection. It shows us an adult Alice who is about to be asked in marriage but before answering she runs after the white rabbit. She revisits Wonderland where she sees the Mad Hatter, Cheshire the cat, Absolem the caterpillar, Tweedledum and Tweedledee. We also get to see a Red Queen with a big head and meet Mirana the White Queen. The creatures created for the movie are amazing and thanks to the CGI effects they manage to look very real.
Por último pero no menos importante "Alicia en el Pais de las Maravillas" estrenada en 2010 y protagonizada por Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikovska, Anne Hathaway y Helena Bonham Carter entre otros. Debo decir que esta pelicula es mi versión favorita del cuento escrito por Lewis Carroll. Debo decir que los efectos especiales, la ambientación es increible y los personajes son interpretados a la perfección. Nos muestra a una Alicia adulta la cual está a punto de ser pedida en matrimonio pero antes de contestar sale corriendo detrás del conejo blanco. Vuelve a visitar el Pais de las Maravillas donde vuelve a ver al Sombrerero Loco, el gato Chesire, Absolem la oruga, Tweedledum y Tweedledee. También podemos ver a una Reina Roja con una gran cabeza y conocer a Mirana la Reina Blanca. Las criaturas creadas para la pelicula son increibles y gracias a los efectos CGI logran verse muy reales.
Apart from these that I have named there are also many others that are very good such as "Sweeney Todd", "Big Fish", "Beetlejuice", "Miss Peregrine's Home From Peculiar Children" among many others. For me Tim is one of the best directors in Hollywood, no matter the genre of each movie he works on, he always does a magnificent and exceptional job, his gothic style is very characteristic of his work and also the soundtracks he uses in his movies It goes great with his stories. I will never get tired of watching his movies both animated and live action and I look forward to other movies of him in the near future.
Aparte de estas que he nombrado también hay muchas otras que son muy buenas como "Sweeney Todd", "Big Fish", "Beetlejuice", "Miss Peregrine's Home From Peculiar Children" entre muchas otras. Para mi Tim es de los mejores directores de Hollywood, no importa el género de cada pelicula en la que trabaje siempre hace un trabajo magnífico y excepcional, su estilo gótico es muy característico de su obra y también las bandas sonoras que el utiliza en sus peliculas va de maravilla con sus historias. Nunca me cansaré de ver sus películas tanto animadas como de acción real y espero con muchas ansias otras peliculas de él en un futuro cercano.
