   Every actor has at least one epic performance, for which he is remembered or that made him famous, I just want to share my impressions of a film in which in addition to seeing an actor who is remembered for a noble and heroic role, we also remember him with a few pounds or kilos less, this time he plays a completely deranged man.

   

   Unhinged

   

   Unhinged, Out of Control or Wild in Latin America allows us to appreciate how a man who has recently lived a series of events that can take anyone out or rather end the little sanity, which manages to maintain in a world so accelerated and in which from one moment to another everything can change, so that for some it may be just nonsense.

   So we see Tom (Russell Crowe) who, in the middle of the morning rush hour, crosses paths with Rachel (Caren Pistorius), a woman who is taking her son to school a little late, and who, stressed to get there fast, honks her horn in a rather aggressive and unkind way, to pressure Tom, since he does not move as fast as she wants when the traffic light changes.

   When Rachel changes lanes and is next to Tom, they argue, he apologizes and asks her to do the same, she refuses being quite rude, which totally drives Tom out of his mind, making him completely explode all the aggressiveness, anger and frustration he was trying to handle.

   Now, here what caught my attention was to see Russell Crowe, in a role so distant from his famous role of Maximo, I had already seen him in Les Miserables, a film that I did not like at all, but here besides noticing in this man that the years do not pass in vain, we see him a little overweight, perhaps for the role, besides playing his role as an unhinged and uncontrolled man very well.

   But, there is always a, but although there are praiseworthy things in the film such as remembering that being kind tells us nothing, that we don't know how the day or the life of a person we decide to torment even more than they may already be, not knowing how they may respond to us, but for me this film fell short and died in its beginning.

   The reason I say this is because while there are things we don't expect from this movie that in some cases becomes very violent, in others it is predictable and may remind some of the old "A Day of Rage" movie with Michael Douglas.

   As for the chase scenes the soundtrack makes the difference, it makes your heart race and makes you almost put yourself in Rachel's place and allows us as I said to think about how necessary it is to fall or have arguments with another driver, when we are on the road, because cases like these arguments, insults and more we see daily on the roads.

   Personally, it is not a movie I would watch again, but to spend some time and see this actor in a non-heroic role, it is worth the 90 minutes it lasts. Currently, I don't know if it is still available on Prime Video's streaming platform, in case any of you would like to watch it.

   Desencajado, Fuera de Control o Salvaje en Latinoamérica nos permite apreciar como un hombre que ha vivido de manera reciente una serie de sucesos que a cualquiera puede sacar o mejor dicho acabar con la poca cordura, que se logra mantener en un mundo tan acelerado y en el que de un momento a otro todo puede cambiar, por lo que para algunos puede ser solo una tontería.

    

   Así vemos Tom (Russell Crowe) quien en plena hora pico de la mañana, se cruza con Rachel (Caren Pistorius), una mujer que está llevando un poco tarde a la escuela a su hijo, y que estresada por llegar rápido, toca la bocina de manera bastante agresiva y poco amable, para presionar a Tom, ya que no mueve tan rápido como ella desea cuando cambia la luz del semáforo.

    

   Cuando Rachel cambia de carril y queda al lado de Tom, discuten él le pide disculpas y le pide a ella que haga lo mismo, ella se niega siendo bastante grosera, lo que saca totalmente de sus casillas a Tom haciendo estallar por completo en él toda la agresividad, rabia y frustración que intentaba manejar.

    

   Ahora bien, aquí lo que llamo mi atención fue ver a Russell Crowe, en un papel tan distanciado de su famoso papel de Máximo, ya le había visto en los Miserables, película que para nada me gusto, pero aquí además de notar en este hombre que los años no pasan en vano, le vemos un poco pasado de peso, tal vez para el papel, además de interpretar su papel de hombre desquiciado y descontrolado muy bien.

    

   Pero, siempre hay un, pero aunque hay cosas elogiables en la película como el recordar que ser amable no nos cuenta nada, que no sabemos como puede ser el día o la vida de una persona a la que decidimos atormentar aún más de lo que ya puede estar, sin saber cómo nos pueda responder, pero para mí esta película se quedó corta y murió en su comienzo.

    

   La razón por la que digo esto es porque, aunque hay cosas que no esperamos de esta película que en algunos casos se vuelve muy violenta, en otras es predecible y que puede recordarles, a algunos, la antigua película de “Un Día de Furia” con Michael Douglas.

    

   En cuanto las escenas de persecución la banda sonora hace la diferencia, pues te acelera el corazón y te hace casi que ponerte en el lugar de Rachel y nos permite como ya dije pensar que tan necesario en caer o tener discusiones con otro conductor, cuando estamos en la vía, pues casos como estos de discusiones, insultos y más vemos a diario en las vías.

    

   Personalmente, no es una película que volvería a ver, pero para pasar un rato y ver a este actor en un papel nada heroico, vale la pena los 90 minutos que dura. Actualmente, desconozco si todavía se encuentra disponible en la plataforma streaming de Prime Video, por si alguno de ustedes desea verla.

   The theme of @cinetv's contest this week is Favorite Movie Villain

   For a medieval or fantasy world, I think there are quite a lot of movies that feature the villain character. Saruman in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series was like the forerunner and the worst of them all... but when it comes to real life and making a villain out of one of us, the options narrow down.

   Road fights between drivers can break out for very minor reasons. According to psychologists, one of the main reasons for road fights resulting in fatalities is that drivers feel the difficulties they face more intensely while driving. Although I have not yet been involved in a serious and major fight, I have had a few run-ins with people in traffic jams. So why wouldn't my favorite movie with a villain character be Unhinged, a 2020 film that brings out someone from traffic!

   Russell Crowe showed that he can be one of the villains of real life with his outstanding performance in the movie where he gave life to the character of Tom Cooper, who turns a problem that started in traffic into revenge.

   I think the most dangerous kind of people are those who have nothing to lose. All kinds of evil can be expected from such people because they have nothing to lose! Russell Crowe is a man who catches his girlfriend with someone else and kills them both and then drives off in traffic. He is exactly the last type of person you would expect to find in traffic and he is terrifying throughout the movie with his creepy demeanor.

   I actually agreed with Tom Cooper, who was very polite in the beginning and development of the story of the movie. I think it is more risky to keep the horn honked all the time in traffic to warn the driver in front because of the possibility of panic. Instead, as Tom said, it would be more effective to press the horn briefly and intermittently "as a polite warning gesture".

   The fact that he apologizes to the woman driver with whom he had an altercation in traffic because of his absent-mindedness made me wonder if he is really the villain of the movie. He was right to demand an apology in return.

   Tom, who goes berserk after being denied an apology and begins to seek revenge, did justice to the role of the villain who emerges from within us and in traffic. When he has nothing to lose and starts doing all sorts of evil things, he gets out of control and it was a good example of what a little friction can cost.

   I highly recommend you to watch it, but after watching the movie you might hesitate to touch the horn while driving in traffic. I find it strange that someone who has lost everything would want to take as many people as possible with him when he leaves. Russell Crowe beautifully reflects the character of the villain that we encounter in our real lives and in traffic from time to time, especially in the traffic scenes... and I think his personal performance suits the subject of the movie.

   Hola hivers amantes de las películas y series, en esta ocasión quiero comentar cobre una película que me recomendaron, de hecho fue mediante un video de @bigcarrillo que supe de esta producción y la agregue a mi lista, sin embargo, pasaron los días y hasta hace poco pude verla. Hoy quiero mostrarle mi opinión sobre la película Fuera de Control y ese reflejo de la película que nos invita a la conciencia como conductores y como buenos ciudadanos. ¡Comencemos!

   Esta es una producción estadounidense del 2020, es una película relativamente corta ya que cuenta con 90 minutos en total para disfrutar del género de suspenso con un pequeño toque de acción. Es una producción que podemos disfrutar en el servicio de streaming de Amazon Prime Video que seguramente parecerá interesante a muchos usuarios.

   Sinopsis:

   Rachel es una madre recién divorciada y con la costumbre de llegar tarde a todos lados, con el tiempo medido lleva a su hijo a la escuela donde se encuentra con un conductor enfurecido por diferentes situaciones personales, luego de una discusión el conductor enardecido decide seguirla, decidido a que Rachel tenga el peor día de su vida.

   Análisis de la Película

   Me agrada el contexto en que se realiza la película, no es una fantasía, ciencia ficción o una historia alocada, es un suceso que puede ocurrir en la vida real, esto me parece interesante debido a que la película nos lleva por un camino en el cual si bien no nos hemos encontrado a un psicópata en el camino, por lo general todos los conductores han tenido alguna discusión al menos una vez, quizás todos hemos tocado el claxon de manera grosera debido a un mal día. Este es el contexto acercar al espectador a una historia un tanto exagerada vista desde un punto de vista más objetivo pero que trata de llegar a cierto público y que al mismo tiempo intenta crear conciencia sobre esa agresividad al volante.

   Agresividad al Volante

   Los comienzos de la película nos introducen inmediatamente dentro de ese contexto de agresividad, observamos noticias y pequeñas secuencias de imágenes de personas enfurecidas en el trafico, peleando o lanzando objetos, incluso huyendo de la policía. La película nos envuelve inmediatamente en este panorama de odio que se genera sobre todo en las grandes ciudades con mucho tráfico.

   Esta introducción me agradó, además de introducirnos inmediatamente en la historia logra el cometido de crear una sensación de inseguridad cuando la protagonista toma el volante, esa sensación de que en la carretera algo malo va a ocurrir, esto se prolonga hasta el final de la película. Creo que al final de la película no vamos a querer salir en auto inmediatamente luego de ver todas esas escenas de agresividad y la sensación de inseguridad queda en el espectador para convertirse posteriormente en reflexión, eso me agrada.

   Mensaje y Reflexión

   El mensaje de la película es muy claro, respetar para ser respetados, muchos no cumplirán esta norma e insultarán a diestra y siniestra a todos los conductores, sin embargo, nosotros tenemos el control no solo del volante en ese momento sino también de nuestras emociones, por lo cual es necesario mantener la calma y enfocarnos en no llegar a nuestro punto de ebullición por un percance que probablemente quede en el olvido unos minutos después.

   Creo que es un muy buen mensaje para los espectadores de hoy en día, sabemos que la vida ahora se centra cada vez más en la velocidad, todos queremos ir y hacer las cosas cada vez más rápido. La agresividad en la conducción es un asunto que afecta a millones de personas indiferentemente de la cultura, en ese sentido, captar la atención mediante esta película con buenas secuencias que trasmiten esa emoción de inseguridad anteriormente señalada me parece una muy buena propuesta de los productores para crear cierta conciencia que incluso queda almacenada en el subconsciente del espectador.

   Ahora hablemos un poco más sobre la película

   Actuaciones

   Russell Crowe es el antagonista que todos esperábamos, un psicópata llevado al limite por la vida moderna, su actuación es significativa y no queda debiendo en este film, creo que realiza una buena interpretación y adaptación al personaje, podemos notar un rostro con cansancio pero que también trasmite ira que por impulsos puede cometer actos verdaderamente atroces, la mirada y un aspecto desagradable que le hacen sobresalir en su actuación como antagonista.

   Caren Pistorius por su parte realiza una actuación decente desde mi punto de vista, sin embargo, creo que por momentos no se trasmite las emociones correctamente en su personaje, no se nota un momento de desesperación o inseguridad que llevaría a esta película a un entorno un poco más al realista.

   Duración

   Me parece que los 90 minutos son suficiente para mostrarnos esta historia, pienso que si se alargaba en demasía esta película nos introduciría en una especie de circulo en la trama perdiendo el tiempo en subtramas innecesarias, me agrada que sea directa en ese sentido debido a que la verdad, la historia no cuenta mucho mas que la sinopsis y el tráiler de la película.

   ¿Acción?

   Hay algunos parpadeos de acción en esta producción, son escasos y en algunos momentos podemos notar una falla en la lógica o una increíble suerte del antagonista para salirse con la suya en algunas ocasiones. Observaremos algunos accidentes de transito impresionantes y por momentos algunas típicas escenas sobre la persecución de un psicópata, sin embargo, no existe mucha acción en la película.

   Tensión

   Más que un suspenso sostenido y recurrente la película encamina al espectador a momentos de tensión donde no sabemos lo que puede ocurrir, no solo a la protagonista, sino también a sus familiares y allegados. Podemos notar una buena dosis de tensión que es proporcionada por las circunstancias y por la actuación de Crowe, este es uno de los aspectos más resaltantes de la producción desde mi punto de vista.

   Opinión Final

   No puedo decir mucho debido a que la trama presenta una estructura lineal y predecible, por lo que intento no arruinar la experiencia de algún lector interesado en la película con spoilers, pero quizás este es uno de sus puntos mas negativos, no hay sorpresas ni una historia atrayente más que el contexto donde se desarrolla pero en particular no recuerdo haber visto muchas películas con estas características (a pesar de que abundan las películas de persecución) con este mensaje tan marcado.

   En resumen es una película interesante, que si bien es un tanto exagerada por momentos nos entrega esa sensación de inseguridad que tanto me agrado que nos lleva directamente al mensaje de la película, esta es la razón por la cual le he dado la calificación anteriormente mostrada.

   Si, me parece entretenida, creo que a un público en general puede agradarle esta película que si bien no abundan los efectos especiales o la acción la historia es envolvente debido al contexto y las actuaciones, es una película simple pero que logra su objetivo.

   Rachel is a recently divorced mother and with the habit of being late everywhere, with measured time she takes her son to school where she meets a driver enraged by different personal situations, after an argument the enraged driver decides to follow her, determined that Rachel will have the worst day of her life.

   I like the context in which the film takes place, it is not a fantasy, science fiction or a crazy story, it is an event that can happen in real life, I find this interesting because the film takes us down a road in which although we have not met a psychopath on the road, usually all drivers have had an argument at least once, maybe we have all honked the horn in a rude way due to a bad day. This is the context to bring the viewer closer to a somewhat exaggerated story seen from a more objective point of view but that tries to reach a certain audience and at the same time tries to raise awareness about that aggressiveness behind the wheel.

   The beginning of the film immediately introduces us into this context of aggressiveness, we observe news and small sequences of images of angry people in traffic, fighting or throwing objects, even running away from the police. The film immediately envelops us in this panorama of hatred that is generated especially in big cities with heavy traffic.

   I liked this introduction, besides introducing us immediately in the story it achieves the task of creating a sense of insecurity when the protagonist takes the wheel, that feeling that on the road something bad is going to happen, this continues until the end of the film. I think that at the end of the film we will not want to leave in the car immediately after seeing all those scenes of aggression and the feeling of insecurity remains in the viewer to become later reflection, I like that.

   The message of the movie is very clear, respect to be respected, many will not comply with this rule and will insult left and right all drivers, however, we are in control not only of the steering wheel at that moment but also of our emotions, so it is necessary to remain calm and focus on not reaching our boiling point for a mishap that will probably be forgotten a few minutes later.

   I think it's a very good message for today's viewers, we know that life now is more and more about speed, we all want to go and do things faster and faster. Aggressiveness in driving is an issue that affects millions of people indifferently of culture, in that sense, capturing attention through this film with good sequences that convey that emotion of insecurity previously pointed out seems to me a very good proposal of the producers to create some awareness that even remains stored in the subconscious of the viewer.

   Russell Crowe is the antagonist we all expected, a psychopath pushed to the limit by modern life, his performance is significant and is not left owing in this film, I think he performs a good interpretation and adaptation to the character, we can notice a face with fatigue but also conveys anger that by impulses can commit truly heinous acts, the look and a nasty look that make him stand out in his performance as antagonist.

   Caren Pistorius for her part gives a decent performance from my point of view, however, I think that at times the emotions are not properly conveyed in her character, you don't notice a moment of desperation or insecurity that would bring this film into a slightly more to the realistic setting.

   I think that the 90 minutes are enough to show us this story, I think that if this movie was too long it would introduce us in a kind of circle in the plot wasting time in unnecessary subplots, I like that it is direct in that sense because the truth, the story does not tell much more than the synopsis and the trailer of the film.

   Action?

   There are a few flickers of action in this production, they are scarce and at some points we can notice a failure of logic or an incredible luck of the antagonist to get away with it at times. We will observe some impressive traffic accidents and at times some typical scenes about the chase of a psychopath, however, there is not much action in the film.

   Rather than a sustained and recurring suspense the film leads the viewer to moments of tension where we do not know what may happen, not only to the protagonist, but also to her family and relatives. We can notice a good dose of tension that is provided by the circumstances and by Crowe's performance, this is one of the highlights of the production from my point of view.

   Final Opinion

   I can not say much because the plot presents a linear and predictable structure, so I try not to ruin the experience of any reader interested in the film with spoilers, but perhaps this is one of its most negative points, there are no surprises or an appealing story more than the context where it develops but in particular I do not remember having seen many films with these characteristics (although chase movies abound) with this message so marked.

   In short it is an interesting film, although it is somewhat exaggerated at times gives us that feeling of insecurity that I liked so much that leads us directly to the message of the film, this is the reason why I have given the rating shown above.

   🎞 Американський трилер "Безжальний" ("Unhinged") 2020-го року. У ролях: Рассел Кроу, Карен Пісторіус, Ґебріел Бейтман, Джиммі Сімпсон та інші.

   

   💬 За сюжетом, жінка, їдучи із сином у автівці і спізнюючись, посигналила чолов'язі на пікапі, який не поїхав на зелене світло. Чолов'яга наздогнав їхню машину і сказав, що вона посигналила не ввічливо і що він вибачається, що вчасно не стартонув, а вона має вибачитись перед ним. Та жінка не вибачилась, сказала, що їй немає чого вибачатися. Після цього той чолов'яга їхав за нею і почав її переслідувати. Дійшло до того, що він вкрав її телефон, поки вона заправлялась на заправці, підклав їй інший телефон і почав чудити вже що-попало... Ну а всю жесть, яку він творив, подивитесь вже безпосередньо у фільмі.
