   Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy. Tenía mucho tiempo queriendo ver una película que había visto en internet y en algunos videos de TikTok que me dejaban intrigada y queriendo saber más de la historia de esta película llamada Uptown Girls una película que sin duda es un clásico en el mundo del cine y que tal vez algunas personas ya la han visto porque es del año 2003, me emocioné mucho porque tiene a dos de mis actrices favoritas como lo es Brittany Murphy y Dakota Fanning, así que no me podía perder de esta historia de género comedia y drama que tiene mucho que enseñarnos más allá de mostrarse como una película superficial o simplemente graciosa. Asi que los invito a leer mi reseña de esta película ☺️

I had a long time wanting to see a movie that I had seen on the internet and in some TikTok videos that left me intrigued and wanting to know more about the story of this movie called Uptown Girls a movie that is certainly a classic in the world of cinema and that maybe some people have already seen it because it is from the year 2003, I was very excited because it has two of my favorite actresses like Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning, so I could not miss this story of comedy and drama genre that has a lot to teach us beyond being shown as a superficial or just funny movie.    La trama de la película Uptown Girls nos cuenta la historia de dos mujeres muy diferentes tanto en edad como en personalidad que acaban formando una amistad fortalecida por todos los momentos que vivieron juntas. Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy) es una mujer en sus veintes que siempre ha tenido la vida que muchos desean, tiene dinero y una gran fortuna que heredó de su padre quien fue un músico muy famoso. Cómo siempre estuvo rodeada de lujos y de fama nunca tuvo la iniciativa de comenzar a realizarse como persona y más que todo vive de la herencia y es bastante infantil para su edad, pero las cosas no salen como ella esperaba y el que fuese manager de su padre le roba todo el dinero de la herencia y la deja literalmente en la bancarrota. Ahora ¿cómo una persona que siempre ha vivido entre lujos puede llegar a hacer las cosas por si misma y conseguir su propio dinero producto de su esfuerzo? Esto es algo que le va a costar muchas lágrimas y estrés a nuestra protagonista Molly, dándose cuenta de que la vida no es tan fácil como ella solia pensar.

   The plot of the movie Uptown Girls tells the story of two very different women both in age and personality that end up forming a friendship strengthened by all the moments they lived together. Molly Gunn (Brittany Murphy) is a woman in her twenties who has always had the life that many people want, she has money and a great fortune that she inherited from her father who was a very famous musician. As she was always surrounded by luxury and fame she never had the initiative to begin to realize herself as a person and mostly lives on the inheritance and is quite childish for her age, but things do not go as she expected and her father's manager steals all the money from the inheritance and leaves her literally bankrupt. Now how does a person who has always lived in luxury get to do things on her own and make her own money from her own efforts? This is something that is going to cost our protagonist Molly a lot of tears and stress, realizing that life is not as easy as she used to think.

   Ahora que Molly se encuentra sin empleo, sin dinero y con una advertencia de desalojo por no pagar el alquiler de su departamento tiene que tomar la decisión de conseguir un trabajo que al menos la ayude a sobrevivir y es así como conoce a una pequeña niña llamada Ray quien tiene una personalidad bastante rígida y madura para su corta edad de ocho años producto de los problemas que tiene en su hogar y también de no saber expresar sus emociones correctamente lo que la hace parecer una niña controladora e irritante pero que en el fondo solo quiere tener la compañía de sus padres y poder hablar de lo que siente. Molly consigue un trabajo como niñera de Ray pero está pequeña no le hará facil su trabajo, la sacará de quicio más de una vez y le criticara su forma de ser y su modo infantil de ver el mundo.

   Now that Molly finds herself without a job, without money and with an eviction warning for not paying the rent of her apartment, she has to make the decision to get a job that at least helps her to survive and that is how she meets a little girl named Ray who has a very rigid and mature personality for her young age of eight years old, product of the problems she has at home and also of not knowing how to express her emotions correctly, which makes her seem a controlling and irritating girl but who deep down only wants to have the company of her parents and to be able to talk about what she feels. Molly gets a job as Ray's nanny but this little girl will not make her job easy, she will get on her nerves more than once and criticize her way of being and her childish way of seeing the world.

   En Uptown Girls podemos ver el crecimiento progresivo de los personajes tanto de Molly como de Ray quienes al principio no se soportan pero que van poco a poco conociendo y crean un vínculo muy especial. En la historia vemos que a pesar de que ambas vienen de familias adineradas, tienen muy poca relación con sus familiares y sienten un vacío que solo puede llenarlo el lazo afectivo entre ambas. Ray es una niña que está pasando por muchos momentos difíciles uno de ellos es ver a su padre que está en estado vegetal y que extraña cada día y Molly con un poco de ayuda se encarga de que ella le hable a pesar de que este no le pueda contestar, pero sabe que con el simple hecho de que Ray pueda drenar y expresar lo que siente la hará sentirse mejor y dejará de intentar tener el control todo el tiempo. También vemos como la vida de Molly cambio radicalmente desde su etapa donde solía irse de fiesta y despilfarrar el dinero de la herencia de su padre y luego ver cómo es traicionada por la persona de confianza de su padre y que le toca enfrentarse a un mundo dónde tiene que esforzarse por ganarse las cosas tanto las que se pueden comprar con dinero como las que solo la actitud puede hacer que cambie y se vuelva mejor persona.

   In Uptown Girls we can see the progressive growth of the characters of both Molly and Ray, who at first can't stand each other, but little by little they get to know each other and create a very special bond. In the story we see that even though they both come from wealthy families, they have very little relationship with their families and feel a void that can only be filled by the emotional bond between them. Ray is a girl who is going through many difficult times one of them is seeing her father who is in a vegetable state and misses every day and Molly with a little help is responsible for her to talk to him even though he can not answer her, but she knows that with the simple fact that Ray can drain and express what she feels will make her feel better and stop trying to be in control all the time. We also see how Molly's life has changed radically from her stage where she used to party and squander the money from her father's inheritance and then see how she is betrayed by her father's most trusted person and that she has to face a world where she has to work hard to earn things both the things that can be bought with money and the things that only attitude can make her change and become a better person.

   Hola queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad de Hive, ¿como están? Hoy me gustaría hablarles de una pelicula que me gusta mucho, aunque es vieja (lanzada en 2003) es muy bonita, sin más dilación empezaré.

   

   Esta película protagonizada por Brittany Murphy y Dakota Fanning nos cuenta la historia de Molly Gunn y Lorraine "Ray" Schleine, Molly es una chica cuyo padre era una estrella de rock el cual falleció junto a su madre, y Ray es una niña hipocrondríaca la cual para mi es "una adulta en el cuerpo de una niña de 8 años" y sus padres son millonarios, y nunca ha conocido la diversión de niños de su edad.

   One day Molly discovers that Ray has never been to Disneyworld, so she decides to take her to an amusement park called Coney Island and told her that when she was a child after her parents died she went and rode on the spinning cups, so they drink the subway and before entering the park Molly makes Ray try a hot dog. By bad luck when they arrive they realize that the park is closed which makes Ray upset and they return home.

Ray se escapa de casa y su madre llama a Molly y le ruega que la encuentre, así que ella se dirige a Coney Island dónde encuentra a Ray montada en las tazas giratorias.

   Well, despite the fact that this movie had a lot of criticism and a low rating from "Rotten Tomatoes", I loved it a lot, the story of Molly and Ray is very nice, because although at first they didn't get along, when they became Both friends changed for the better, since Molly stops being a superficial and vain girl and when she meets Ray she begins to mature and become more responsible, and Ray, who was a bitter girl if you like, who dislikes everything and doesn't like her. likes fun at all begins to relax more and be more pleasant. Ray identifies with Molly as they both didn't get the attention of their parents as children.

   Bueno, a pesar que esta película tuvo muchas criticas y una baja calificación por parte de "Rotten Tomatoes" a mi me encantó mucho, la historia de Molly y Ray es muy bonita, ya que aunque al principio no se llevaban bien, cuando se hicieron amigas ambas cambiaron para bien, ya que Molly deja de ser una chica superficial y vanidosa y cuando conoce a Ray empieza a madurar y a volverse más responsable, y Ray que era una niña si se quiere amargada, a la que todo le disgusta y no le gusta para nada la diversión comienza a relajarse más y a ser mas agradable. Ray se identifica con Molly ya que ambas no tuvieron la atención de sus padres siendo niñas.

   There are also scenes that I found funny, like the one where they try to give Molly's pet pig a bath which turns out to be disastrous since the pig ends up running away, also where Ray tries to eat a hot dog and then Molly touches his forehead and then she yells SHE'S ALIVE!, and I laughed a lot when Molly tries to "commit suicide" by jumping into a lake with dirty water which was up to her elbows.

   También hay escenas que me parecieron divertidas, como en la que tratan de darle un baño al cerdito mascota de Molly el cual resulta desastroso ya que el cerdito termina huyendo, también dónde Ray intenta comer un hot dog y luego Molly le toca la frente y luego grita !ESTÁ VIVAAAA!, y me reí mucho cuando Molly intenta "suicidarse" lanzandose a un lago con agua sucia la cual le llegaba a los codos.

   Something that I also really liked about the movie is the soundtrack, not only is the CD nice and I hope to be able to buy it physically, but also some songs shown during the movie like "Molly Smile" sung by Jesse Spencer and my favorite is "Time" by Chantal Kreviazuk which can be heard in the end credits.

   Algo que también me gustó mucho de la película es el soundtrack, no sólo el CD es bonito y espero poder comprarlo en físico, también algunas canciones mostradas durante la película como "Molly Smile" cantada por Jesse Spencer y mi favorita es "Time" de Chantal Kreviazuk la cual se puede escuchar en los créditos finales.

   In this movie I met Brittany Murphy who I thought was a pretty lovely actress in this movie and it's a shame she passed away so young. Despite the fact that it received bad reviews on its release, I think it is a very entertaining movie and ideal to pass the time, if you have not seen it yet, I highly recommend it, this movie reminds us that we all have a child inside of us.

   En esta película conocí a Brittany Murphy la cual me pareció una actriz bastante encantadora en esta película y es una lástima que haya fallecido tan joven. A pesar de que recibió malas críticas en su lanzamiento pienso que es una pelicula bastante entretenida e ideal para pasar el rato, si todavía no la han visto se las recomiendo ampliamente, esta pelicula nos recuerda que todos tenemos un niño interior
