Movie Review:

In the movie, we see Abdul Razak, a father, who hopes to have a son as the heir to the family, and after four daughters, a son is born. However, due to the death of his mother while giving birth to a son, Faizal went abroad with five children and grew up to be adored by four sisters. However, when Faizal's father got married for the second time after his sisters got married, Faizal was forced to go to study in Europe and wanted to marry the girl there and settle in Europe.

After learning about this, Faizal's sisters tricked him into bringing him to the country and took him to see a girl for marriage. But when Shahana comes to know that Faizal is a chef and wants to become a chef in a hotel in Europe, Shahana does not agree to the marriage and rejects Faizal. Then Faizal's father can't accept anything, his son will study to be a chef and it is also known that Faizal's grandfather is also a chef.

Faizal's father gets angry and takes away all the documents including Faizal's passport. As a result of which Faizal angrily goes to his grandfather and there he becomes a good chef from his grandfather. Along with the interesting love story of Faizal and Shahana, we also get to know the interesting love story of Faizal's grandfather and grandmother. Also, Faizal learns from his grandfather that apart from being a good chef, food matters most to him.

When Faizal's grandfather dies of a stroke after hearing about Faizal's move to Europe, Faizal, Sahana and Faizal's father work together to make Ustad Hotel more popular and Faizal starts working as the head chef of his grandfather's hotel.

I hope you watch the movie. I tried to get a subtitled version but the Hindi dubbed one was the only available and many understand Hindi, so it would be fair.

Back to the movie, it is the story of a young man who lost his mother after birth and his grandfather helped look after him. He is later taken abroad where his sisters raise him and he learns cooking while playing with them.

He loves to cook and wants to become a chef but his father objects and also marries a lady whom he doesn't like. He decides to return to his grandfather where it is revealed he has a girlfriend and ends up rejecting a girl whom his father searches for him.

He leaves his father and joins his grandfather and helps him around in a dilapidated hotel. His main aim is to go to France but his grandfather asks him to visit a friend in another state and he goes. There he is astounded by the fact that his grandfather was helping feed poor people all the while, on a daily basis.

He changes his mind and returns home to find that the hotel is closed and his grandfather missing.

Meanwhile, the very girl whom he had rejected finds a place in his heart, and in the end, it is shown the two of them running the hotel which he had saved from a star hotel that had deceived his grandfather.

Mass appeal

The audience gave a good rating to this movie and it was dubbed in other languages. Language is no barrier. The main actors have conveyed their feelings and emotions even without words and the songs are also very appealing.

There is no vulgarity and no swear word used in this movie. Only raw emotions which touch your heart. Most of the Malayalam movies are like that. It shows that you do not need vulgarity, sex, or abuse to attract the masses.
