Watchmen is a comic book limited series created by the British creative team of writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins. It was published monthly by DC Comics in 1986 and 1987 before being collected in a single-volume edition in 1987. Watchmen originated from a story proposal Moore submitted to DC featuring superhero characters that the company had acquired from Charlton Comics. As Moore's…

I'm really not a fan of Zack Snyder's works. I feel often enough they're a bit too over directed. I'm out off by such heavy exaggeration that makes films look more like a video game than a film. I don't think I have seen a lot of films directed by him due to this. And, to be honest, I didn't even know Watchmen was something he directed until I had already started watching through the film and got curious, only to lo…More

When I first watched the movie "The Watchmen," I had to see it a few times to really appreciate the story. I believe the same is true for DC's Black Label series Rorschach. Even though I picked up Chapter Eleven, it appears that this story has been dragged out over the previous ten issues. A tortured detective is seen speaking with deceased characters helping him piece together events leading up to present day. He c…More
When I first checked out the 2009 film "Watchmen" many years ago, I didn't think very much of the movie. After all, I never read the limited DC Comics series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. I felt lost in the action of the film. Researching films dealing with the DC Universe, Zack Snyder's name came up and I noticed that he had directed "Watchmen." My past experience also kept me from watching the recent television…More
The movie "Watchmen" was released in the United States in March 2009. This is not the first "anti-hero" film, because the original comic "Watchmen" was not as good as Marvel (Avengers) and DC (Superman, Batman). ) Has a large readership, and the film has never been introduced in asia. Even though the subtitles were introduced at the time, the 162 minutes duration and the plot were a lit…More
Let me tell you something. Zack Snyder is the greatest superhero movie director ever!!! Some may disagree. Some of the reasons will be valid. Everyone has a style. They prefer some stuff over the other. That's cool. I have a MASSIVE crush on Cyberpunk and Science Fiction settings. I'm no fan of Romance movies. I can't digest the stuff about real people with real lives kind of stories. I don't watch movies to see pse…More
