Good series if there are any! Hello my dear friends of Movies & TV Shows, I hope you are having a wonderful day. I finished watching both seasons in just two days. Likewise each temportada has 8 episodes which are relatively short. It happens to be recommended to me by a friend and she was right when she told me I was going to love it.
This series is about a group of people who select girls and guys to attend a party on an island. They promote this event as something unique and special, and convince these teenagers that they, because of their vibe or some specific issue, have been the lucky ones chosen. The selection is done by an intense analysis of social network profiles and as the series progresses, you can see that this is not random, but that people have to be away from their family, or be an only child, show a certain status and have a certain popularity. They may also look for boys or girls who, for some reason, may be vulnerable (they especially take into account those who lack love within their family).

Bienvenidos a Edén, la serie española perfecta para maratonerar
¡Buenas series si las hay! Hola mis queridos amigos de Movies & TV Shows, espero que estén teniendo un día maravilloso. Terminé de ver las dos temporadas en tan solo dos días. Igualmente cada temportada cuenta con 8 episodios que son relativamente cortos. Resulta que me la recomendó una amiga y tenía razón cuando me dijo que me iba a encantar.
Esta serie trata de un grupo de personas que seleccionan a chicas y chicos para asistir a una fiesta en una isla. Promocionan este evento como algo único y especial, y convencen a estos adolescentes de que ellos, por su onda o por alguna cuestión específica, han sido los afortunados elegidos. La selección se realiza por un intenso análisis de perfiles de redes sociales y a medida que avanza la serie, se puede ver que esto no es aleatorio, sino que la gente tiene que estar alejada de su familia, o ser hija única, mostrar cierto status y tener cierta popularidad. También pueden buscar a chicos o chicas que por algo, puedan ser vulnerables (en especial tienen en cuenta a los que carecen de amor dentro de su familia).
Thus, the series begins with a group of selected boys who travel and when they arrive to the party and of course to the island, they have to drink a blue drink that is supposedly being tested for release, but this turns out to be a very powerful hallucinogenic energizer that ends up leaving these teenagers practically passed out. When they wake up, only five of the large group are left, and they never know what has happened to the rest, especially Judith, Zoa's friend.
De este modo, la serie empieza con un grupo de chicos seleccionados que viajan y que al llegar a la fiesta y claro que a la isla, tienen que tomar una bebida azul que supuestamente está siendo probada para su lanzamiento, pero esta resulta que se trata de un energizante algo alucinógeno muy potente que termina por dejar a estos adolescentes prácticamente desmayados. Cuando despiertan, del gran grupo solo quedan cinco, y nunca saben qué ha pasado con el resto, en especial con Judith, la amiga de Zoa.
Quickly, the new kids realize that they are about to be captured and that they will not be able to leave the island even if they want to, since all the young people there are constantly manipulated and controlled by Astrid and Erik, the owners of the Eden project. They instruct the inhabitants of the island with apparent spiritual and philosophical speeches, while crumbling their feelings for their old life. They speak ill of their parents, humiliate and blame them, but all this masked in a speech of salvation and empathy.
Astrid is a person who only thinks of her own desires and for that, it doesn't matter what she has to do to achieve her goals, and that is why she has practically captured the lives of these boys.
Rápidamente, los chicos nuevos se dan cuenta que están a punto de ser capturados y que no podrán salir de la isla aunque lo deseen, ya que todos los jóvenes que están allí, están constantemente manipulados y controlados por Astrid y Erik, los dueños del proyecto Edén. Ellos instruyen a los habitantes de la isla con aparentes discursos espirituales y filosóficos, al tiempo que desmoronan sus sentimientos para con su antigua vida. Les hablan mal de sus padres, los humillan y los culpan, pero todo esto enmascarado en un discurso de salvación y empatía.
Astrid es una persona que solo piensa en sus propios deseos y para ello, no importa qué tenga que hacer con tal de alcanzar sus metas, y es por este motivo que prácticamente ha capturado la vida de estos chicos.
While on the island there has been a division of tasks and a certain hierarchical order according to how loyal they are to the demands of Astrid and Erik, the newcomers look for ways to escape, without success, while getting to know people who have been there longer, who can help them. However, this is made very difficult for them because most of the inhabitants of the island have really believed the heroes' tale of the two owners, so they want to be loyal to them, even if it means lies, deceit and even murder.
The story is novel, twisted, but somehow allows us to see clearly this type of personalities, that even if you don't believe it, they exist in society and you can come across them anywhere. This production allows us to see how these speeches, although from the outside they seem absurd to be heard and valued in some way, end up convincing the other person to act as the manipulator says, generating consequences in the person's life because as it happens in Bienvenidos a Edén, the kids even end up giving up their own life voluntarily (not all of them and in truth it is not legitimately voluntary, but there is a manipulation behind it).
Mientras en la isla se ha llevado a cabo una división de tareas y cierto orden jerárquico de acuerdo a cuán fieles son a las demandas de Astrid y Erik, los nuevos buscan la manera de escapar, sin éxito, mientras van conociendo a personas que llevan más tiempo allí, que pueden ayudarlos. Igualmente esto se les dificulta enormemente porque la mayoría de los habitantes de la isla, realmente se han creído el cuento de héroes de los dos dueños, por lo que desean ser leales a ellos, aunque eso implique mentiras, engaños e incluso asesinatos.
La historia es novedosa, retorcida, pero de alguna manera permite ver con claridad a este tipo de personalidades, que aunque uno no lo crea, existen en la sociedad y te los puedes cruzar en cualquier lugar. Esta producción nos permite ver cómo esos discursos, aunque de afuera parezcan absurdos de ser escuchados y valorados de alguna manera, terminan por convencer a la otra persona de actuar como dice el manipulador, generando consecuencias en la vida la la persona porque como ocurre en Bienvenidos a Edén, los chicos hasta terminan renunciando a su propia vida de manera voluntaria (no todos y en verdad no es legítimamente voluntario, sino que hay una manipulación por detrás).

It is an interesting series in terms of its plot and psychological content, as it opens the door to analysis, while keeping you expectant. In addition, the endings of the episodes are very abrupt, and generate that feeling of addiction accompanied by the mental phrase "I need to see the next one", hehe. On top of that, they are between 45 and 50 minutes long, so they don't seem so long, since it's less than an hour.
I highly recommend watching this series of Spanish origin, as it also touches on different and varied realities, and brings us closer to positive values that are in many people, and shows us how unity and perseverance, as well as hope and risk, allow us to break chains.
Es una serie interesante en cuanto a su trama y su contenido psicológico, ya que abre la puerta al análisis, al tiempo que te mantiene expectante. Además los finales de los episodios son muy abruptos, y generan esa sensación de adicción acompañada de la frase mental “necesito ver el próximo”, jeje. Encima son de entre 45 y 50 minutos, por lo que eso hace que no parezcan tan largos, pues es menos de una hora.
Recomiendo enormemente ver esta serie de origen español, ya que también toca diferentes y variadas realidades, y nos acerca a valores positivos que sí están en muchas personas, y nos muestra cómo la unión y la perseverancia, como también la esperanza y el riesgo, permiten romper cadenas.

Apparently the trailer that Netflix released gave me a contrary perspective, I thought that the ecstasy, that which takes place in a bed, would be present in each chapter, but the issue ended up being the opposite. Aquí lo que reino fue el suspenso puro, la incomprensión de cada uno de los jóvenes, inexperiencia y sufrimiento, pero rodeados de un maleficio moderno totalmente reprochable.

I was doing some research in the comments and reviews section of sensacine and filmaffinity and the points of opinion regarding the production are divided. The point is that it is true, there are very weak issues within it, but beyond this is the message it gives off.

In my opinion, the series should have had more explicit and attractive points, that was missing a lot... When you visualize the denouements you were left wanting to see a little more. Evidently, the malice is present, but the gaps of explicitness were what some scenes required. Still, the series is sketched out in a very elegant way, which is why it's engaging, but also leaves you wondering. Well, this is what I could perceive.

He dilucidado de manera resaltada que estudio urbanismo, esto me permite tener una noción sobre las prácticas de sustentabilidad y la transición a una economía ambiental, pero la realidad es que todo es muy lindo en palabras y no en la práctica. Esto puede ocurrir, pero debe ser de manera progresiva y no impuesta. Acoto esto, porque Edén maneja la premisa de ser el lugar de salvación, sí, ese refugio para los elegidos cuando el fin del planeta llegue por los gases contaminantes generados por los diferentes medios de producción. Una antítesis que contraria el comportamiento del capital por aquí, ¡cosas locas que están en la serie!

Irónico, nosotros nunca nos comportamos de esa manera, nunca sigas los estándares. Rígete por tus convicciones, rígete por lo que eres y el tiempo dirá si todo fue admirativo.
