Este sera mi ultimo post por estos dias, estoy hasta el cuello de compromisos y en unos dias nos iremos de viaje a la capital a un evento asi que espero al menos dejar esta pequeña experiencia para aquellos que aun no estan usando el Game Pass que ofrece Microsoft, recuerdo que cuando vi este servicio al principio pensaba que habia un truco y que era demasiado bueno para ser verdad, el servicio seria uno parecido a Netflix pero en vez de streaming el Game Pass te permitia instalar los juegos a tu computadora y jugar sin restricciones, en Xbox tienes agregado todos los servicios de su suscripcion Gold pero me conformo con el catalogo de 100 juegos (y subiendo) que tiene el servicio y que se pueden jugar a los segundos de haber comprado la membresia, esta oferta ya la comente en mi blog pero la repito ya que puedes conseguir el Game Pass por 1$ tus primeros 2 meses con este tutorial. una ganga en todos los sentidos por si quieres probarlo!

¿Vale la pena comprar el PC Game Pass?

Para resumir todo el post, yo diria que si, esta suscripcion lleva años beneficiando a los jugadores ya que es una buena opcion si no tienes demasiado presupuesto pero tambien si eres el tipo de jugador que no se queda demasiado enganchado a un juego (mi caso), hay varios paquetes pero el mas basico te permite jugar mas de 100 juegos sin restriccion y todos pudiendo instalarlos a tu pc en tan solo un click, yo he podido jugar incluso juegos nominados a premios a mejor juego del año y me ha sorprendido la facilidad de la plataforma de Xbox para desplegar todos los beneficios de esta suscripcion, como aclaracion debo decir que pague por el paquete Ultimate que ademas del catalogo inmenso de Xbox tambien te daba la oportunidad de jugar juegos del catalogo de EA Play completamente gratis.

Aunque mi tiempo en estos 2 meses ha sido corto para dedicarselo a videojuegos he jugado algunas obras que me han encantado practicamente a costo cero, Starbound, Hades, Among Us, Starde Valley, Alien Isolation son solo algunos de los titulos del catalogo principal que descargue y jugue durante al menos una semana, creo que no llegue siquiera a rascar el fondo del barril porque viendo que el servicio incluye juegos como Doom Eternal, la mayoria de la saga de Halo, Dishonored, Mass Effect y muchos mas creo que no estuve ni cerca de exprimir al maximo lo que tiene este servicio.

Microsoft ha estado con esta mentalidad de cobrarnos lo menos posible a los jugadores sabiendo que el videojuego es uno de los pasatiempos mas costosos sin duda, entre lo que estan sacando con la nube y el Game Pass diria que se estan ganando a todo el publico que quiera ingresar al videojuego sin gastar demasiado en ello, es que aparte de esto tambien Microsoft y Xbox estan siendo muy activos para llenar su game pass de nuevos titulos cada mes, siempre hay juegos entrando y saliendo y eso le agrega variedad al servicio, justo cuando compre la suscripcion estaba entrando al rouster A Plague Tale que para los que no sepan es uno de los juegos mejor recibidos de los ultimos años y ya estan anunciando incluso que titulos AAA estaran llevando en los proximos meses, hay algo que Game Pass no haga bien?

Es verdad que la empresa de Redmond tenia practicamente abandonado el mercado de los pc en los ultimos años pero estoy muy sorprendido de la contundencia con la que pudieron poner a flote una experiencia como esta, creo que ninguna otra empresa podia hacerlo y tener exito, solo Microsoft que tiene espacio tanto en el mercado de las consolas como en el del PC, si tuviese que señalar algun defecto de esta suscripcion seria apuntar no a Microsoft sino a EA ya que con la suscripcion Ultimate si bien puedes jugar los videojuegos de EA Play (solo algunos) te tienes que descargar su launcher el cual es una mierda mal optimizada, solo esa queja tendria.

No queda mucho mas que decir, Game Pass es una oportunidad unica si te quieres meter en el videojuego y su futuro, no tengan duda que este sera el modelo de negoci que adoptaran otras compañias como Sony y Nintendo, y con razon, es quiza el servicio que mas beneficios les trae a los jugadores y el que le permite jugar mas juegos por menos dinero, de mi parte yo le daria un 10/10 si pudiese, ninguna queja, muchos juegos, la interfaz es rapida y sencilla ademas de que Microsoft esta todo el tiempo sacando cosas nuevas.

Is Game Pass PC worth buying?

Just to sum up the whole post, I would say yes, this subscription has been benefiting gamers for years as it is a good option if you don't have too much budget but also if you are the type of gamer that doesn't stay too hooked to a game (my case), there are several packages but the most basic one allows you to play more than 100 games without restriction and all being able to install them to your pc in just one click, I' ve been able to play even games nominated for best game of the year awards and I was surprised by the ease of the Xbox platform to deploy all the benefits of this subscription, as clarification I must say that I paid for the Ultimate package that in addition to the huge catalog of Xbox also gave you the opportunity to play games from the EA Play catalog completely free.

Debo admitir que tenia dudas de que todo fuese demasiado bueno para ser verdad, pero en realidad si es verdad, el Game Pass ha estado en la industria desde hace un tiempo cuando la empresa del tio Bill lo anuncio como parte de su estrategia con la nueva Xbox y desde entonces la compañia no ha parado de anunciar titulos, comprar a otros estudios para dar sus mejores juegos gratis y en general darle al jugador lo que siempre ha querido, no esa basura del Cloud Gaming que apenas esta en su etapa prototipo y que la mayoria del mundo no puede jugar, sino una version mucho mas familiar, paga una suscripcion, elige el juego, instala y juega, eso es lo que es Game Pass, una solucion tan sencilla y eficaz como lo es dudosa en lo financiero aunque parezca que Microsoft es lo suficientemente robusto como para resistir mantener un servicio asi.

Ya lo comente en otro post pero repito, el Game Pass en esencia es un Netflix de videojuegos, no precisamente es un servicio de Stream pero si tiene esa similitud en la que pagas una suscripcion mensual para jugar a un catalogo de juegos que semana tras semana se esta actualizando, juegos entran y otros salen, solo para que tengas una idea de la cantidad de juegos que hay hoy en el Game Pass es de un poco mas de 100 titulos y no precisamente el tipo de juego Indie monotono (que tambien los hay) estoy hablando tambien de las armas grandes, de estudios como Bethesda o la propia 343 Industries que acaba de desarrollar una de las mejores entregas de Halo (tambien disponible en el Game Pass), esa apuesta al contenido original me recuerda mucho a otros servicios como Disney o HBO que estan precisamente desarrollando contenido AAA en sus plataformas.

Hay un poco de todo para el jugador que quiera juegos de plataformas, shooters, Rol, RPG, Estrategia.. Microsoft concentra una gran cantidad de clasicos que no tienen desperdicio sobre todo cuando contamos con sagas enteras de juegos asi como asociaciones con desarrolladoras como EA para integrar aun mas juegos con EA Play, esto abre la posibilidad de jugar titulos que son propiedad de terceros como lo son Mass Effect, Burnout o Battlefield entre muchos otros, una seleccion de lujo que aumenta aun mas el valor agregado de la suscripcion y convierte al Game Pass en un bufet de todo lo que puedes jugar.

El trato tambien incluye actualizaciones especiales de algunos de los juegos propiedad de Microsoft en el catalogo, juegos como State Of Decay han visto un resurgimiento con su integracion al servicio y otros juegos como Sea Of Thieves han aumentado mucho su publico con solo estar entre las lineas de otros grandes juegos, por supuesto no puede faltar uno de los platos fuertes del catalog, pues tanto Minecraft como Minecraft Dungeons esta incluido en este paquete completando una de las mejores selecciones que Microsoft ha tenido nunca.

Otra cosa que no he tenido tiempo de probar pero se que a mas de uno le va a causar curiosidad es el Cloud Gaming que ofrece este servicio, no hay ningun tipo de descargas y puedes jugar a resoluciones que normalmente una pc comun no podria avanzar pero tambien necesitarias una conexion wifi bastante rapida asi que por ahora no puedo opinar en este asunto, sin embargo es cool que este incluido en el servicio en un año en donde el Cloud Gaming esta alcanzando nuevos records de recaudacion por lo que Microsoft esta bastante interesado en ofrecer e ir familiriarizando a los jugadores con esta tecnologia.

Otra cosa que me ha gustado bastante es como Microsoft trata las cuentas como Netflix trata las suyas, tienes la posibilidad de compartir entre varios dispositivos las claves de tu cuenta y asi mas de una persona puede jugar todos los juegos del catalogo, de esta forma pude darle un regalo a mi hermano compartiendo varios de los juegos que hay en el Game Pass, creo que hay un limite para esto pero es un punto a favor bastante grande si me lo preguntas.

No creo que tenga mucho mas que decir, el Game Pass habla por si solo de como Microsoft ha tomado la delantera tanto en consolas como en PC con un servicio innovador en el mundo del Gaming y que abre una competencia en la que los favorecidos somos los usuarios, ya vi a Sony o a Steam intentando replicar el exito que esta teniendo esta medida del gigante detras de Xbox y solo veo juegos y estrenos mucho mas baratos y al alcance de todos los usuarios, una democratizacion del videojuego que significa mucho para los jugadores.
