   We continue looking for movies within the great platform of Netflix and without a doubt I have received recommendations to see many movies, like others that I have seen and little by little I will be sharing the review and many are from last year as other very new, where they managed to present us something unique and very good, taking a great valuation from my part and provokes to see it one and others, Such is the case with this film which is known as The Healer, where it is a film of the genre of romance and drama, but every second of it leads us to be attentive, highlighting that every opportunity that we lend life, you have to make the most of it, because you do not know how long you can enjoy your loved ones.   

   Before starting to watch it, the first thing that caught my attention is the title it has, as well as another surprise that it is a Polish production, which is the first time I see something from a director of that origin, so I had to give it a chance and see how they work. Another thing is that it is based on a novel from many years ago, which they revived that story in a great way, updated and with a look that will blow our minds. So, I got comfortable and started watching this installment El Curandero, which they gave it great publicity and with only a few months of its release, it achieved its goals.   

   Seguimos buscando películas dentro la gran plataforma de Netflix y sin duda he recibido recomendaciones de ver muchas películas, como otras que las he visto y poco a poco estaré compartiendo la reseña y muchas son del año pasado como otras muy nuevas, donde lograron presentarnos algo único y muy bueno, llevándose una gran valoración de mi parte y provoca verla una y otras, tal como ocurre con esta película que es conocida como El Curandero, donde es una película del género de romance y drama, pero cada segundo de la misma nos lleva a estar atento, resaltando que cada oportunidad que nos presten la vida, se tiene que aprovechar al máximo, ya que uno no sabe hasta cuándo podrá disfrutar de sus seres queridos.     

   Antes de comenzar a verla, lo primero que me llamo la atención es el título que tiene, como también nos llevamos otra sorpresa de que es una producción polaca, donde es la primera vez que veo algo de un director de dicho origen, por ende tenía que darle una oportunidad y ver como ellos trabajan. Otras de las cosas es que es basada en una novela de muchos años, la cual volvieron a revivir esa historia de una gran manera, actualizada y con aspecto que nos hará volar la cabeza. Por lo tanto, me puse cómodo y comencé a ver esta entrega El Curandero, la cual le dieron una gran publicidad y con tan solo pocos meses de su estreno, logro los objetivos.

   A film that presents a unique plot and very few are the films I see of this genre and certainly gave me a lot of pain, as it is something that any human being would not be to face, where we are presented with a surgeon who is a great person, recognized for his work, certainly loses a great person who has been there in his life as his great wife and his son leaves him, which are two very strong things, since it is a very hard blow to the life of that person, therefore, we wonder: Will he be able to move forward? Will he find something that makes him happy, will he continue doing what he likes the most, and many other things that he thought about as he watched every second of it.  

   Una película que nos presenta una trama única y muy pocas son las películas que veo de este género y sin duda me dio mucho dolor, ya que es algo que cualquier ser humano no estaría para enfrentar, donde nos presenta a un cirujano que es una gran persona, reconocida por su trabajo, sin duda pierde a una gran persona que ha estado allí en su vida como lo es su gran esposa y su hijo lo abandona, la cual son dos cosas muy fuertes, puesto que es un golpe muy duro para la vida de dicha persona, por lo tanto, nos preguntamos ¿Podrá salir adelante?, ¿Encontrara algo que lo haga feliz?, ¿Seguirá haciendo lo que más le gusta?, y muchas otras cosas que pensaba, al momento de ir viendo cada segundo de la misma.

   They managed to present us something very well elaborated by the way they recreated every detail and aspect of it, being something incredible in order to maintain the drama of what will happen to these people as the events are happening and of course the setting allows to hook with the plot, since it is something so rural, peasant, all very simple and that allows it to be very nice. I do not know the novel in which they adapted this installment and I am sure that for its time it was a success, since it is a unique story and even more so with that person who has a big heart.   

   Another aspect is that love that is created in it, which turns out to be very big and they are there in each of the good and bad moments, however, the loss of someone leaves a big void in the person and despite that the narrative becomes more integral in knowing what could happen and that is where the name of this great movie comes from, creating something with a lot of logic, sense and with a very big pain. As also, the loss of memory is something very delicate, strong and it is almost possible to be able to solve, however, that feeling will be there and that is why you can not miss the opportunities, creating a great emotion and great feeling.   

   Lograron presentarnos algo muy bien elaborado por la manera como recrearon cada detalle y aspecto de la misma, siendo algo increíble para así poder mantener ese drama de que pasara con dicha personas a medida que van pasando los eventos y por supuesto que la ambientación permite enganchar con la trama, puesto que es algo tan rural, campesino, todo muy sencillo y que permite que sea muy agradable. No conozco la novela en que adaptaron esta entrega y estoy seguro de que para su momento fue un éxito, ya que es una historia única y más aún con esa persona que tiene un gran corazón. 

   Otro de los aspectos es ese amor que se crea en la misma, que resulta ser muy grande y están allí en cada uno de los momentos buenos y malos, sin embargo, la perdida de alguien deja un gran vacío en la persona y a pesar de eso la narrativa se vuelve más integrante en saber que podría pasar y de allí es donde viene el nombre de esta gran película, creando algo con mucha lógica, sentido y con un dolor muy grande. Como también, la pérdida de la memoria es algo muy delicada, fuerte y es casi posible poder solventar, sin embargo, ese sentimiento estará allí y por eso no se pueden dejar pasar las oportunidades, creando una gran emoción y sensación muy grande.

   The presence of each of the characters are very good and I did not know about them and for the first time I see them on a screen, they managed to get into that role and demonstrate every aspect in the story, highlighting the great quality of the main character, for each of the ways how he has to go living and facing the problems of his life, with that touch of tranquility and to get a better life, highlighting that great job. In addition, between all of them for their way of thinking, doing things, they managed to recreate the whole movie in a great way and it could be a great family story, a very painful love and above all to know that every wrong action can have its consequences.   

   La presencia de cada uno de los personajes son muy bueno y desconocía de ellos y para ser la primera vez que los veo en una pantalla, lograron meterse en ese papel y demostrar cada aspecto en la historia, resaltando la gran calidad de dicho personaje principal, por cada una de las maneras como tiene que ir viviendo y enfrentando los problemas de su vida, con ese toque de tranquilidad y poder conseguir una mejor vida, destacando ese gran trabajo. Además, entre todos por su manera de pensar, hacer las cosas, lograron recrear toda la película de una gran manera y podría ser una gran historia familiar, un amor muy doloroso y sobre todo saber que toda acción mal hecha puede tener sus consecuencias.

   It is a film that presents us with a great ending, with an unexpected twist and it is something that I did not expect from it, without a doubt they managed to recreate a great adaptation and it is fascinating every detail that allows to take this production to another level and to be the first time I see something like this the Healer, I was impressed, where the loss of memory is very strong, but when you manage to study something for many years, it will be almost possible to forget it, as it happens, where that knowledge of doctor, helps him to continue with his life and not pass into oblivion. If you are looking for something to watch, I recommend this one.  

   Es una película que nos presenta un gran final, con un giro inesperado y es algo que no me espera de la misma, sin duda lograron recrea una gran adaptación y es fascinante cada detalle que permite llevar esta producción a otro nivel y para ser la primera vez que veo algo como esto el Curandero, quede impresionado, donde la perdida de la memoria es muy fuerte, pero cuando se logra estudiar algo por muchos años, será casi posible poder olvidarlo, tal como ocurre, donde ese conocimiento de médico, lo ayuda a continuar con su vida y no pasar al olvido.    Ya nos encontramos en los últimos meses del 2023, en este punto tenemos una perspectiva más amplia de lo que significó este año para nosotros, así mismo, colocar en una balanza las producciones que nos gustaron y aquellas que no deseamos volver a mencionar jamás. En este post les deseo comentar sobre un filme que de verdad me ha impresionado, pensé que sería un desastre, pero en definitiva me gustó y pude entretenerme durante más de dos horas, este filme se llama "El Curandero".

   Para mi sorpresa es un filme polaco, no he visto muchos filmes originarios de Europa del este, de hecho, si debo mencionar tres producciones polacas quizás termine quedando en la deriva mental, quizás sea ese pensamiento el que hacía tener un prejuicio sobre el filme, un error inconsciente, pero tan real al momento de elegir un filme, el cual no sea de un origen conocido, tanto como en el aspecto de guionistas, actores y director, sin embargo, lo bueno de buscar nuevas producciones que es algunas pueden ser de buen entretenimiento sin ser de esas películas hollywoodenses que inundan los cines y los servicios de streaming, muchas de ellas sobrevaloradas por un marketing agresivo que todas las redes sociales.

   Análisis del Filme

   Esta es la historia de un médico cirujano que a pesar del gran éxito en su carrera, pierde lo más preciado para él, su esposa junto a su hija lo abandonan dejándolo al borde de la locura, luego de algunas malas decisiones y golpes de la vida, este importante médico pierde la memoria, condenado a vagar buscando algo que no recuerda, pero que sabe que es lo más importante para él.

   Tan solo la sinopsis es atrayente, me agradan las historias mentales y sobre amnesia, el no recordar el pasado, condiciona notoriamente toda la trama, teniendo en cuenta que sus conocimientos y habilidad en la medicina nunca se desvanecieron, tampoco su voluntad por ayudar a otros.

   Ambientación y Fotografía.

   Uno de los aspectos más resaltantes, desde mi punto de vista, es la hermosa fotografía acompañada con una excepcional ambientación de la Polonia rural de principios del siglo XX, la paleta de colores cálida y mucho brillo de sol, así como también por momentos algo de oscuridad, reflejando un poco de temor e incertidumbre.

   La Narrativa:

   Otro punto resaltante y creo que es el más importante es la manera en que el filme va contando la historia, parece sacada de una novela, tomándose su tiempo para sumergirnos en la trama, sin tanto sobresalto o exageración en las líneas del guion. El filme posee un ritmo pausado, pero constante, donde se ejecuta una narrativa con buenos argumentos y lógica, quizás no siendo demasiado impresionante y hasta un poco predecible, pero haciendo que nuestra atención se enfoque en el filme sin tener en cuenta el tiempo en nuestro reloj, eso es lo que más me gustó de esta historia.

   En esta historia hay un poco de todo, sobre todo de romance, acompañado de esa típica historia de amores imposibles, en donde se introduce un poco de drama sin mayor peso en la historia, a pesar de que existen subtramas e historias dentro de la historia, no se perderán en el camino, ya que la narrativa es simple y no genera emociones fuertes, es como una corriente de agua que tranquilamente te va llevando de un lugar a otro.

   Paradójicamente, esa simplicidad en el guion que tanto me gustó puede ser el aspecto negativo que muchos percibirán, debido a que no es un filme como para saltar de la silla o llorar al pie del televisor, es una historia sin sobresalto y tanto predecible, pero hermosa.

   Personajes:

   Me agradaron los personajes, un conjunto de personas que le otorgan belleza a la historia, así como también el enfoque de maldad y envida se evidencian en el guion, algunos con mucha más sutileza que otros, pero siendo importantes para entender todo el panorama de la trama.

   Mensaje:

   Me encantan aquellas películas que poseen un mensaje familiar, en esta linda historia, se refleja que más allá de una carrera exitosa no estamos completos sin nuestra familia, entendiendo además el aspecto mental que le otorga esa pequeña dosis de emoción a la trama.

   La memoria es algo impresionante, quizás podamos olvidar nombres, pero nunca olvidaremos lo que sentimos de esa persona, un ejemplo claro son nuestros abuelos, que cuya mente divaga a causa de la edad, ellos olvidan nuestros nombres e incluso que somos de su familia, pero igualmente nos abrazan y besan, a pesar de todo recuerdan que nos aman, es el amor lo que no se puede olvidar y lo que hace que esta historia tenga sentido.

   Calificación:

   8.2 ⭐️

   Opinión Final:

   Este es un filme bastante entretenido, a pesar de que no cumple con las características de películas comerciales que abarrotan nuestras pantallas, es una historia simple, diferente y bien ambientada, una película polaca que a mi parecer ofrece más aspectos positivos que negativos y que a mi juicio vale la pena verla y dejarse llevar por la corriente de su narrativa, de seguro no mirarás tu reloj si aprecias este tipo de tramas que si bien son algo lentas, van construyendo de a poco una historia memorable.

   

   ¿Lo Recomiendo?

   Si, a pesar de que no es una película comercial y de hecho, no tiene tanto trabajo de marketing como otras producciones dentro del catálogo de Netflix, es una muy buena opción entre las películas que recién se incluyen en el servicio de streaming, no es de esas películas tan emocionantes pero que apuestan en cautivar al espectador con una linda y bien estructurada historia.

   To my surprise it is a Polish film, I have not seen many films originating from Eastern Europe, in fact, if I have to mention three Polish productions I might end up in mental drift, perhaps it is that thought that made me have a prejudice about the film, an unconscious error, but so real when choosing a film, which is not of a known origin, as much as in the aspect of screenwriters, actors and director, however, the good thing to look for new productions that is some can be of good entertainment without being of those Hollywood movies that flood theaters and streaming services, many of them overrated by aggressive marketing that all social networks.

   This is the story of a surgeon doctor who despite the great success in his career, loses the most precious thing for him, his wife and daughter abandon him leaving him on the verge of madness, after some bad decisions and blows of life, this important doctor loses his memory, condemned to wander looking for something he does not remember, but he knows it is the most important thing for him.

   The synopsis alone is appealing, I like mental stories and about amnesia, not remembering the past, notoriously conditions the whole plot, considering that his knowledge and skill in medicine never faded, nor his will to help others.

   Setting and Photography.

   One of the highlights, from my point of view, is the beautiful photography accompanied with an exceptional setting of early 20th century rural Poland, the warm color palette and lots of sunshine, as well as at times some darkness, reflecting a bit of fear and uncertainty.

   The Narrative:

   Another highlight and I think the most important is the way the film tells the story, it seems to be taken out of a novel, taking its time to immerse us in the plot, without so much jolt or exaggeration in the lines of the script. The film has a slow but steady pace, where a narrative with good plots and logic is executed, perhaps not being too impressive and even a little predictable, but making our attention focused on the film without taking into account the time on our watch, that's what I liked most about this story.

   In this story there is a little bit of everything, mostly romance, accompanied by that typical story of impossible love, where a little bit of drama is introduced without much weight in the story, even though there are subplots and stories within the story, you will not get lost along the way, as the narrative is simple and does not generate strong emotions, it is like a stream of water that quietly takes you from one place to another.

   Paradoxically, that simplicity in the script that I liked so much may be the negative aspect that many will perceive, because it is not a film to jump out of the chair or cry at the foot of the TV, it is a story without jolt and somewhat predictable, but beautiful.

   Characters:

   I liked the characters, a set of people that give beauty to the story, as well as the focus of evil and envy are evident in the script, some with much more subtlety than others, but being important to understand the whole picture of the plot.

   Message:

   I love those movies that possess a family message, in this cute story, it reflects that beyond a successful career we are not complete without our family, also understanding the mental aspect that gives that little dose of emotion to the plot.

   Memory is an impressive thing, maybe we can forget names, but we will never forget how we feel about that person, a clear example is our grandparents, whose mind wanders because of age, they forget our names and even that we are from their family, but they still hug and kiss us, in spite of everything they remember that they love us, it is love that cannot be forgotten and what makes this story make sense.

   Final Opinion:

   This is a quite entertaining film, even though it does not meet the characteristics of commercial films that crowd our screens, it is a simple, different and well set story, a Polish film that in my opinion offers more positives than negatives and that in my opinion is worth watching and let yourself go with the flow of its narrative, for sure you will not look at your watch if you appreciate this kind of plots that although they are somewhat slow, they gradually build a memorable story.

   

   Do I recommend it?

   Yes, even though it is not a commercial movie and in fact, it does not have as much marketing work as other productions within the Netflix catalog, it is a very good option among the movies that are just included in the streaming service, it is not one of those movies that are so exciting but that bet on captivating the viewer with a nice and well structured story.

   Good movies can come from all over the world. On this occasion I have come across a great title from Poland. A plot that shows how a case that can be tragic turns into a magical story.    Sinopsis: Rafał Wilczur es un excelente médico, que le ocurren varios eventos malos de manera seguida. Pierde a su familia y su memoria. Luego de unos 15 años, tratando de recobrar la memoria, se encontrará en un pueblo donde hará de curandero y se topará con su destino.

   It has received good reviews from audiences and was released by the streaming network Netflix in September.

   Personally, I consider it a good choice for family viewing.
