There's something always special and lovely when you know that there is always someone that will always be there and makes everything feels lighter. That is the feeling I get any time I listen to Céline Dion’s “I’m Alive.” This song carries the celebration of love that makes an ordinary day feels extraordinary. It doesn't talk about the expensive gifts or grand promises.
It majorly centered on having someone in my life whose presence alone reminds me that life still have beautiful things to offer. And in most cases, we don't realize how much we have been carrying until someone comes into our lives and eases those burden from use.
Looking at the line “When you call on me” focused on something I admire about the song. There's this feeling that comes knowing someone out there thinks about me, feels my absence and reaches for me because they trust I'll be there. It might looks like a small usually thing, but it means a lot when life gets difficult. I feel a lot of people knows that feeling too well especially those who have had someone stood by them when they were faced with problems. Sometimes, that feeling only means, "I am not going to face this alone."
Listening to it again this night, what all the lines sounds so touching with the way Celine sang it. And from the lyrics, “I get wings to fly” is such a hopeful image because it perfectly described what love can do to a anyone's spirit. When you have began to doubt everything, just with the right person by yourself, they can encourage you to make you believe in yourself again. On a bad day, they can easily bring laughter to your face and remind you how how joyful you used to be before those bad moments. And of course, love might not be able to get rid of all difficulties, but it is always a sure reason to keep moving forward.
Musically, without becoming excessively overwhelming, this song has a way of uplifting my spirits anytime I listen to it. The soothing rhythm was on point, to be vocal backups. And without mixing things up, Celine Dion's voice did a perfect job. To the melody, she gave it clarity and strength and she knew when to soften her voice to give it a bit of an emotional thing. I obviously like the energy she gave into the song. It always makes me sing along, even sometimes when I am not in the mood. And one of the strongest qualities I noticed about this song is the balance it has with the sincere message it passed across and the enjoyable melody it has.
What I always admire about this particular music is not the reminder that love have the ability to change how we experience our lives. There will always be some times when the load will be unbearable, when it seems like we might not get through the day. Then someone comes along and gives us hope and life and for the moment, everything seems lively again.
That does not mean they have provided a solution to everything. It only signified that they coming around brought the happiness needed. Some will say I'm Alive is a love song, but it is more than that for me. It is also a clear celebration of those who comes into our life and constantly reminds us that we are still alive and we can genuinely be happy again.
