I started doing a little research, trying to take my mind off things and focus on what I always do—writing on my blog—and in the process, I remembered this movie, a moving, sad story, but as I said, one of those that teaches you life lessons.

The hardest decision—you’re never really prepared to make it, especially when it comes to losing a loved one. That’s the toughest part of life: accepting the loss of someone. But what happens when that loss comes unexpectedly? Obviously, it hits much harder. However, in this movie, it’s different, because this girl was already preparing for it, and she just wanted to prepare her family.

This movie was released in 2009, starring the famous actress Cameron Diaz.

It tells the story of Sarah (Cameron Diaz) and Brian Fitzgerald (Jason Patric), whose lives are turned upside down when their two-year-old daughter, Kate, is diagnosed with leukemia. Their only hope for a cure is to turn to genetic engineering to have another child. That’s how Anne is born. A very close bond develops between her and Kate, especially since both have to undergo various medical treatments and spend long periods in the hospital together. However, when Anne turns eleven, she hires a lawyer to gain medical emancipation so she can take control of her own body and decide whether or not to continue helping her sister.

It is undoubtedly a powerful story: a mother fighting to save her daughter’s life while also having to deal with her other daughter, trying to make her understand that she can help her. But both are exhausted—so much treatment, so many years—and the inevitable can no longer be postponed. Fighting death is a losing battle; sometimes you succeed, other times you don’t. You simply have to accept it, no matter how much it hurts.

Losing a loved one is the greatest pain of all, and for a mother, it’s even worse. Sara refused to lose her daughter, and against all odds, she wanted to keep fighting for her, but Kate and Ana had other plans—they were exhausted, which is only natural. And even though they had to make the hardest decision, they didn’t do it out of malice; they did it simply to bring peace to their family.

Es una película conmovedora, se las recomiendo, cuando se pierde a un ser querido, debemos buscar la manera de entender, aceptarlo y seguir adelante, pensando que ya ellos están en paz.

Me puse a buscar un poco, tratando de distraer mi mente, enfocarme en lo que siempre hago, escribir en mi blog, y entre eso recordé esta película, una historia conmovedora, triste, pero como dije, esas que te muestra las enseñanzas de la vida.

La decisión mas difícil, uno nunca esta preparado para tomarla, sobre todo cuando se trata de perder a un ser querido, eso es la parte mas ruda de la vida, aceptar perder a alguien, pero que pasa cuando esta perdida sucede de forma inesperada, obvio pega mucho mas fuerte, sin embargo, en esta película no es así, porque ya esta chica se estaba preparando, y solo quería preparar a su familia.

Esta película fue estrenada en el año 2009, protagonizada por la famosa actriz Cameron Diaz.

Nos muestra la historia de Sarah (Cameron Diaz) y Brian Fitzgerald (Jason Patric), la cual cambia cuando a su hija Kate, de dos años, le diagnostican una leucemia. La única esperanza de salvación es recurrir a la ingeniería genética para tener otro hijo. Así es como nace Anne. Entre ella y Kate se establece una relación muy estrecha, sobre todo porque ambas tienen que someterse a diversos tratamientos médicos y compartir largas estancias en el hospital. Sin embargo, cuando Anne cumple once años contrata a un abogado para emanciparse médicamente y así ser dueña de su propio cuerpo, tomar la decisión de seguir ayudando a su hermana o no.

Sin duda es una historia fuerte, una madre que lucha por salvar la vida de su hija, mientras que tiene que lidiar también con su otra hija, tratando de hacerla entender que puede ayudarla, pero ambas están cansadas, tanto tratamiento, tantos años, no se puede seguir postergando lo inevitable, luchar con la muerte, es una batalla perdida, a veces se logra, otras no, simplemente toca aceptarlo, por mas que nos duela.

Perder a un ser querido es el dolor mas grande, y para una madre mucho mas, Sara se negaba a perder a su hija, y contra todo pronostico quería seguir luchando por ella, pero Kate y Ana, tenían otros planes, estaban cansadas, es de lógica, y aunque les toco tomar la decisión mas difícil, no lo hicieron por maldad, solo para darle paz a su familia.

Es una película conmovedora, se las recomiendo, cuando se pierde a un ser querido, debemos buscar la manera de entender, aceptarlo y seguir adelante, pensando que ya ellos están en paz.
