I started watching it because I thought it was an older version of a movie called Split (2016), starring James McAvoy (Kevin Wendell Crumb). Split is one of those movies that you watch and can't get out of your head for a long time. I loved the plot and the psychological aspects of the character. Since I wanted to explore these kinds of themes further, I found out that Split was a version of another movie, but I didn't know which one. In my search, I came across Don't Talk to Strangers, which, from what I saw, offered the same themes and also starred the same actor.
Upon seeing the film, I immediately realized it had nothing to do with Split, but it developed an interesting plot, and I decided to finish it.
Don't Talk to Strangers begins with a family traveling to Italy and staying at a hotel. There, they meet another British family: Paddy (James McAvoy), his wife Ciara (Aisling Franciosi), and their mute son Ant (Dan Hough). They immediately strike up a very unusual friendship. Paddy invites them to spend a weekend at his farm in the English countryside. The family—Ben (Scoot McNairy), Louise (Mackenzie Davis), and their daughter Agnes (Alix West Lefler)—is surprised by the invitation, which arrives in the mail. Hola chicos de Hive espero que estén muy bien el día de hoy les voy a reseñar una película que vi hace poco llamada No hables con extraños (2024) les cuento que empecé a verla porque creí que era la versión antigua de una película que se llama Fragmentado (2016) protagonizada por James McAvoy (Kevin Wendell Crumb), Fragmentado es una de esas películas que ves y no puedes sacrtela de la cabeza por mucho tiempo, me encantó la trama que se desarrolló y la temática psicológica del personaje. Al ver la película inmediatamente me di cuenta que no tenía nada que ver con Fragmentados, pero desarrollaba una trama interesante y decidí terminarla.
No hables con extraños comienza con una familia que se va de viaje a Italia y se hospedan en un hotel, allí conocen a otra familia británica conformada por Paddy (interpretado por James McAvoy), su esposa Ciara (Aisling Franciosi) y su hijo Ant (Dan Hough) que es mudo, ellos inmediatamente entablan una amistad muy peculiar. En eso Paddy los invita a pasar un fin de semana en su granja en el campo de Inglaterra, la familia conformada por Ben (Scoot McNairy), Louise (Mackenzie Davis) y Agnes (Alix West Lefler) su hija, se sorprende por la invitación que les llega por correo, Ben no encuentra ninguna objeción sin embargo Louise lo duda, después de una charla ambos se ponen de acuerdo y deciden ir para no parecer mal educados.

A su vez notan que Paddy y Ciara tienen comportamientos agresivos e incómodos hacia su propio hijo, esto causa desconcierto y empiezan a dudar de ellos. Posteriormente en un momento de copas Paddy y Ciara llevan a Agnes a dormir con ellos completamente desnudos, esto lo consideran desmedido y deciden irse de allí en mitad de la noche, sin embargo, en plena huida regresan a buscar el peluche que se le había olvidado a Agnes en esto Paddy y Ciara manipulan a los esposos y los hacen sentir culpable por irse en medio de la madrugada.
Los acontecimientos que sucederán a continuación te helaran la sangre, a medida que se va desarrollando la trama, escapar de allí se convertirá en el peor desafío para la familia que sin saberlo había llegado a un lugar donde la traición, el horror y la muerte estaban esperándolos.
