The Grinch. The movie is all about Christmas celebrations. The movie is also about a green creature who lives alone on a mountain above the town of Whoville. What the Grinch dislikes about Christmas is the noise, decorations, music, and happiness that people celebrate on that day.
Grinch was living in his cave with his dog while the people of Whoville were preparing for the coming Christmas. Grinch was very angry about everything the people were doing. So he decided to make a decision that could stop them from celebrating the coming Christmas, and so he developed a strategy to disguise himself as Santa Claus.
He took Max along with him on Christmas Eve, a day before Christmas.
He goes from house to house, and every Christmas gift and Christmas tree, together with the decorations that people are doing for Christmas, he goes about stealing all of it.
There is one thing that Grinch has in mind: when he takes all of that from the people, they will not be able to celebrate Christmas. But he doesn't know that Christmas is not just about material things. Christmas is worth more than that. So Grinch has successfully taken all the material things from the people. They actually had no gift left for Christmas celebration Grinny thought that the people wouldn't celebrate Christmas anymore. So even after he has taken almost everything from them, the people still come together and sing on Christmas morning. This amazes the Grinch because he thought Christmas was all about decorations and other things. He was so amazed, and he begins to realise that Christmas means something much deeper to them than gifts and other things.
What I really love and understand about this movie is that it actually has a very meaningful story, from selfish and angry at first, but later on changes and becomes able to understand kindness, love and friendship. The part I love the most is when Grinch have turned from his bad behaviour and started acting good to Max. Max was so surprised, and I love the loyalty that Max shows to Grinch.
I must say the movie is also funny because of how Grinch acts and the crazy things he does while trying to destroy Christmas. Another beautiful thing this movie teaches me is that happiness does not come from material things. What really matters is having people around us and showing love and kindness.
