En la mayoría de las disciplinas deportivas existen los denominados tapados. Se me viene a la cabeza en las carreras de caballos, en el fútbol inclusive, y ni hablar en la política. Son esos equipos, atletas e inclusive personalidades que nadie lo tiene en cuenta, pero en el momento oportuno dan el batacazo. Este fin de semana se disputará en Montreal una carrera que, según mi criterio, será épica y trascendental. La ausencia de Pogačar ha hecho que esto se ponga caliente e inclusive que algunos novatos salgan a dar declaraciones diciendo que se van a llevar el podio. Me refiero a Paul Seixas, el francés que está cumpliendo 20 años, ultramotivado. Os voy a mencionar mis favoritos en un contenido escrito en esta ocasión.

I'm talking about Paul Seixas, the Frenchman who is turning 20, ultra-motivated. This time I'm going to tell you my favorites in a written piece.
La mayoría de los especialistas le dan como favorito a Remco Evenepoel, y mérito no les falta al atleta. Llega con todo lo que hay que tener y ante una selección muy fuerte, sinceramente. Pero hay un dato que me llama poderosamente la atención, y es por eso que mi lista de preferidos cambió rotundamente. El evento se realizará sin radio, como ocurre cuando se hace en equipos. En esta ocasión, los equipos están formados por atletas que pertenecen a una nación, y juegan los egos de los mismos y quién trabajará para quién. Al margen de eso, no están comunicados con alguien que les diga o les informe sobre los aconteceres del evento. Por lo tanto, el resultado depende pura y exclusivamente de la armonía del equipo formado y la comunicación de lo mismo, de la humildad de los grandes líderes y, por supuesto, y este es un factor fundamental según mi criterio, la inteligencia estratégica del favorito del equipo. Es por eso que me inclino por Isaac del Toro, quien creo ganará. El atleta mexicano tiene todos los condimentos y la inteligencia para trabajar con su equipo, si bien no es el más fuerte, pero que conjuntamente llegarán a buen puerto.

That's why I'm leaning towards Isaac del Toro, who I believe will win. The Mexican athlete has all the ingredients and the intelligence to work with his team, even though it's not the strongest, but together they'll reach a good port.
El segundo de mis elegidos tampoco es Evenepoel... Me inclino por Paul Seixas, porque pese a que muchos dicen que hay que ir con humildad, calladito y a ver qué pasa, el atleta salió a declarar públicamente que está preparado para llevarse el primer puesto, y eso, dicen que a muchos le llena de responsabilidad e incertidumbre, y siento que al francés lo empodera y va a estar peleando en el sprint final. Yo creo en los atletas que creen en ellos, y este es uno de esos. Nada de humildad: si te consideras bueno y el mejor, así debes exponerlo ante el público. Me alegraré infinitamente si logra su cometido.
En tercer lugar recién me inclino por Remco Evenepoel, porque sinceramente es el favorito de todos, pero para ello hay que demostrarlo en el evento. Seguramente, si no pasa nada en el camino, estos tres atletas van a dar un espectáculo digno de disfrutarlo desde donde estés.
Otro punto importante que leí por ahí es que el circuito abre la posibilidad para muchos que ni siquiera están en el radar de los especialistas. Por ejemplo, Juan Ayuso de España; Enric Mas, el último ganador de la Vuelta a España; Tom Pidcock, el amigo que viene del mountain bike y que no le tiene miedo a circuitos como estos. Y así un montón de atletas que tienen igual de posibilidades y que puede dar que hablar.
Todo este gran espectáculo es debido a la ausencia de Tadej Pogačar.
En Argentina arranca aproximadamente a las 10 de la mañana y terminará a eso de las 16 horas.
