What beautiful photos and a great reflection on emptiness... Just looking at your photos, it brought me some childhood memories and some forgotten emotions... My father had 2 boats, one on the river Danube, and the other one on the local lake near the town where we lived... Whether we would go to the Danube and anchor in the middle of the river, or go to the lake and do it early in the morning, we would usually be the ONLY ones on the water...

But, when we left home, boats would stay empty, just like in your photos... Waiting for their owners to come back the next day, and to start another adventure... Especially on the lakes, you could find boats spread all around the shore, without any order, no docks, just sunken boats almost in the middle of a forest...

Thank you very much for this comment and for the story you shared. What you wrote is very in harmony with the reflections that I myself have when I see similarly scattered boats on the shore of the lake. I also have many of them left anywhere - hidden in reeds or abandoned on the shore. There is something nostalgic and thought-provoking about it.

I'll also admit that I'm a little jealous of those moments spent with dad on a boat, in the middle of an empty lake or river. It must have been a truly unique experience.
