“The Andean ritual where grievances are settled and life is celebrated amidst the struggle.”

Hello friends of the community. I don't know how to start, although this community, apart from making me grow as a photographer, has also helped me write a bit—although I also use it as a photographic and mental diary. I vent a lot of what's on my mind, which as symptoms dictate, ruminates negative things and is impeding my professional development. I'm on the verge of losing the job that cost me so much to get, and well, here I have a small economic income that isn't much, because Lima is a very expensive city where only the rich and the poor exist, and those who think they are middle class barely make ends meet.
It's not redundant; I love my culture. I've secured three Takanakuy events and I'm happy about that because I'll be able to go and increase my photographic material. I know it's repetitive because I post this type of photos, but I try to give it a different vision. The eye and the mind interpret every thing—color, texture, background, space—in a different way: a sad look, an angry one, a joyful one. Everyone interprets it differently. It was the exact work I did in the buses in your countries: capturing moments in the mornings of rush and stress to arrive early, crowded buses; in the afternoons, more calm, relaxed people in their cell phone worlds, also with problems; and at night, the exhaustion of an exploitative job from 8 to 8, Monday to Saturday, doing the impossible for a miserable 1,250 soles (which is approximately $372.18 USD), while in the senate and Congress they raise their salaries. Damn system, damn people who profit from the sweat of the people. And that's Lima, the capital—now imagine the people who live outside, the harrowing cold of the Andes, the river overflows that carry away houses and people in their paths, and nobody does anything.
What does Takanakuy have to do with this? It's not just a simple fight to deal with a grudge or a problem, because at the end of the day, from 3 AM to 6 AM, they have to go to the food terminal to load their sacks for their stores and earn a pittance. But Takanakuy is a party at the moment to forget all the crap that surrounds us as humans, how despicable those who wield power are and only want more money thinking that gives them status. And they are all like that: status, the best clothes, the best car, the best camera, the best lens. Life wasn't about that. That's why I loved Takanakuy, I love Andean culture, because despite living without privileges, without a quality of life, they dance, jump, drink, fight, hug each other, and continue with their daily grind. This will end, karma will arrive. Sometimes I see how they live in some European countries, how immigrants go through it—it happened to me, I lived in California for a time, the contempt for the illegal. I'm not saying everyone, but it takes a toll, and I would have a thousand things to say. I only dream of a fair world and for everything to be like Takanakuy: party, love, solving problems, and continuing to row forward in the face of adversity. Good vibes; unfortunately, borderline personality disorder and bipolarity have collapsed me. I would love to bring you new things.

Me gustaría darles cosas nuevas.
