Espero se encuentren todos muy bien, yo estoy un poco afectada con la gripe, pero gracias a Dios a pesar del malestar pude seguir con mi rutina ya que no tuve que guardar reposo ni nada y le doy gracias a Dios porque justo me había antojado de hacer un dibujo, mi idea original era aprender a hacer un conejo simplemente, pero luego se me ocurrió hacer un conejo 🐇 sobre un sombrero de mago 🎩 ya saben que eso de plasmar en una hoja las cosas que se ocurren no es fácil para mí, pero está vez quede muy conforme y claro como no tengo una buena biblioteca visual todavía lo que hice fue apoyarme en imágenes de referencia de pinterest, pero ya sin más preámbulo los dejo con el paso a paso de este dibujo. 🥰
I hope everyone is doing well. I’m feeling a little under the weather with the flu, but thank God, despite feeling unwell, I was able to stick to my routine since I didn’t have to rest or anything. And I thank God because I’d just been in the mood to draw something. My original idea was simply to learn how to draw a rabbit, but then I got the idea to draw a rabbit 🐇 on a magician’s hat 🎩. You know that putting the things that come to mind onto paper isn’t easy for me, but this time I’m really happy with it. And of course, since I don’t have a good visual library yet, I relied on reference images from Pinterest. But without further ado, here’s the step-by-step guide for this drawing. 🥰

Aunque el objetivo con esta práctica era aprender a hacer un conejo 🐇 sin querer terminé aprendiendo a hacer también un sombrero 🎩 así que disfrute mucho está práctica porque no solo aprendí sino que también logré hacer un dibujo con el que quede satisfecha. Comencé haciendo el boceto del sombrero 🎩 primero hice la parte de arriba y luego la solapa.
Although the goal of this exercise was to learn how to draw a rabbit 🐇, I ended up learning how to draw a hat 🎩 as well, so I really enjoyed this exercise because not only did I learn something, but I also managed to create a drawing I’m happy with. I started by sketching the hat 🎩—first the top part, and then the brim.
Luego hice el boceto del conejo 🐇 y la verdad como siempre me tocó confiar en el proceso porque la verdad es que en ese punto del boceto no sentía que estuviera haciendo un conejo, más bien lo veía como una mezcla entre un cerdito 🐷 y un conejo 🐰🤣🤭 pero bueno era solo un boceto todavía le faltaban muchos detalles así que aún no podía darme por vencida, además de que me prometí amar el resultado de mis primeros dibujos y guardarlos para luego poder comparar y medir mi progreso.
Then I sketched the rabbit 🐇, and honestly, as always, I had to trust the process because, at that point in the sketch, I didn’t really feel like I was drawing a rabbit—I saw it more as a mix between a piglet 🐷 and a rabbit 🐰🤣🤭 But anyway, it was just a sketch—it was still missing a lot of details—so I couldn’t give up just yet. Plus, I promised myself I’d love the results of my first drawings and save them so I could compare them later and track my progress.
Y como pueden ver valió la pena confiar en el proceso, a medida que fuí agregando cada detalle fue tomando más forma de consejo, con sus ojitos, su nariz y boca y sobre todo sus orejas ya parecía más un conejo. Algo que debo admitir es que no me salió nada bien el efecto de pelaje, pero es más o menos la primera vez, recuerdo hace muchos años haber hecho pelaje de gato y me quedo muy bonito, pero de conejo es la primera vez que hago así que aunque no me quedo bien, para ser la primera vez está genial. Siento que el pelaje requiere de una práctica más específica y enfocada en ello.
And as you can see, it was worth trusting the process—as I added each detail, it began to take on more of a rabbit’s shape; with its little eyes, nose, and mouth, and especially its ears, it already looked more like a rabbit. I have to admit that the fur effect didn’t turn out very well, but it’s more or less my first time. I remember making cat fur many years ago, and it turned out really nice, but this is the first time I’ve made rabbit fur, so even though it didn’t turn out perfectly, it’s great for a first try. I feel like fur requires more specific, focused practice.
Como pueden ver también termine de darle el acabado final al sombrero con la famosa técnica de luz y sombra que he estado practicando y la verdad me gustó mucho como quedo. Para que quedará así de oscuro utilicé el lápiz más oscuro que tengo que es el 8B, el 2B lo utilicé para el medio tono y dejé completamente blanco el brillo 🔆 está vez no use la técnica del difuminado porque intento aprender a manejar cuanta presión debo ejercer en cada lápiz dependiendo del efecto que quiera lograr.
As you can see, I also finished putting the final touches on the hat using the famous light-and-shadow technique I’ve been practicing, and I really liked how it turned out. To make it this dark, I used the darkest pencil I have, which is the 8B; I used the 2B for the mid-tones and left the highlights completely white 🔆. This time I didn’t use the blending technique because I’m trying to learn how to control how much pressure to apply with each pencil depending on the effect I want to achieve.
Y este fue el resultado, una práctica llena de mucho aprendizaje y diversión, creo que todas las prácticas que he compartido por acá, está es la que más he disfrutado. 🥰
