Lights on the Archipelago - Watercolors on Paper

Hello to all my dear Hivers friends, and welcome back to my blog. Today I’m back to share my favorite subject: seascapes. I’d like to present my latest watercolor piece, in which I sought to highlight the colors and light of a group of islands. I tried to capture the atmosphere of a seascape framed in the foreground by vegetation consisting of pine and juniper trees. What interested me most about this landscape was the quality of the light on the sea, the rocks, and in the distance, so I left many areas with little color to emphasize the glow. I hope you like my watercolor; I’m sharing all the steps of the creative process with you, and I send my best regards to everyone. Armando.

Luci sull'arcipelago - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi torno a condividere il mio soggetto preferito, il paesaggio marino. Vi presento il mio ultimo lavoro ad acquarello con il quale ho voluto mettere in evidenza i colori e le luci di un gruppo di isole. Ho cercato di rappresentare l'atmosfera di un paesaggio marino condue quinte in primo piano di vegetazione formata da alberi di pino e ginepro. Quello che mi interessava del paesaggio era la qualità della luce sul mare, sulle rocce e in lontananza, quindi ho lasciato molte zone poco colorate per enfatizzare il chiarore. Spero che il mio acquarello vi piaccia, vi lascio tutti gli steps del processo creativo ed i miei migliori saluti a tutti voi. Armando.
