Stormy Skies & Autumn Whispers: My Latest Oil Painting Process Hello Hive community! Today I want to share with you the creative journey behind my latest oil painting on canvas. It’s a piece that balances the dramatic, swirling energy of a stormy sky with the quiet, golden presence of autumn trees.
1. The Base Layers: I started by laying down the deep blue tones, blocking out the massive movement of the clouds and creating the initial contrast.
2. Texturing the Clouds: Using round and flat brushes, I worked on the whites and light blues, adding layers to give the clouds a thick, almost tangible texture.
3. Bringing in the Light: Finally, I introduced the golden yellow highlights on the trees framing the scene, creating a vibrant contrast with the moody background.
The Final Result
The final composition draws the eye right down the center, through the swirling clouds, leading to a calm, distant hill and a quiet body of water below. It’s a reflection on nature's power and its moments of absolute stillness.

Ciao community di Hive! Oggi voglio condividere con voi il percorso creativo dietro il mio ultimo dipinto ad olio su tela. È un'opera che bilancia la drammatica energia vorticosa di un cielo tempestoso con la presenza quieta e dorata degli alberi autunnali.
1. I Primi Strati: Ho iniziato stendendo i toni del blu profondo, abbozzando il grande movimento delle nuvole e creando il contrasto iniziale. 2. Dare Consistenza alle Nuvole: Usando pennelli tondi e piatti, ho lavorato sui bianchi e sui celesti, stratificando il colore per dare alle nuvole una consistenza densa, quasi tangibile. 3. Accendere la Luce: Infine, ho introdotto i tocchi di giallo dorato sugli alberi che incorniciano la scena, creando un contrasto vibrante con lo sfondo cupo.
Il risultato finale La composizione finale guida lo sguardo proprio al centro, attraverso i vortici di nuvole, fino a una collina calma in lontananza e a uno specchio d'acqua silenzioso in basso.
