Greetings and blessings, my dear knitting friends. I hope youâre all doing very well, in good health and spirits, and that these days are proving to be very rewarding.
Today I want to share this crochet project with you to let you know that Iâve already started crocheting for Christmas 2026. And you canât imagine how happy it makes me to start preparing those little touches that fill our home with magic and warmth during the most beautiful time of the yearâwhich is also my favorite.
I wanted to start with a cover for a candlestick or lantern, and honestly, I think it turned out beautifully. I love how the combination of red and white looksâtwo colors that inevitably make me think of Christmas and all the wonderful things this season brings.
To crochet it, I used red and white crochet yarn and a 3 mm hook. I started by making a circular base with double crochet stitches, and from there, I worked my way up using an openwork pattern that lets you see the little light flickering inside the candlestick. I love that effect because the light peeks through the stitches and creates a warm, cozy, and very special atmosphere.
I like these projects because, besides being beautiful, theyâre a simple way to add a unique touch to any little corner of the house. And this is just the beginning, because I already have other projects in mind that I want to crochet and share with you.
So Iâll be sticking around here, surrounded by yarn, needles, and lots of lovely ideas, making decorative touches for Christmas. May the magic of knitting during this special season be with us from now on!
