Greetings and blessings, my dear knitting friends. I hope you’re all doing very well and staying healthy, and that these days are proving to be very rewarding.
Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to participate in a crochet workshop where we learned to crochet a mini wallet using a technique that was new to me: Mosaic Crochet. And, as always when I have the chance to learn something related to this wonderful world of knitting, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I found this technique simply beautiful; it allows you to create designs and shapes that gradually emerge among the stitches. That said, it requires a lot of attention, care, and concentration, since it’s important to follow the pattern to the letter so that the design takes shape correctly. We can’t let ourselves get too distracted here.
Aquí no podemos distraernos demasiado.
I haven’t finished my mini wallet yet; I’m taking it step by step, without rushing, enjoying the process, and discovering how the design takes shape stitch by stitch. I find it fascinating to see how, through a combination of stitches and colors, that pattern—which at first we can only imagine—begins to emerge.
And even though I still have a little way to go before it’s finished, I’m really enjoying every moment of this new learning experience. I think that’s what crochet is all about: keeping our curiosity alive, daring to try different techniques, and discovering that there’s always something new to learn.
For now, I’m left with a wonderful experience, full of learning, creativity, and, above all, those special moments shared among crocheters. As soon as I finish my mini wallet, I’ll share it here. I can’t wait to show you the result.
