Greetings and blessings, my dear needlework friends. I hope you are all in good health and spirits, and that this will be a very productive week.
I’m taking a short break from my posts about my family’s visit, even though I still have a lot to share and many photos to post from those wonderful days. But today, I didn’t want to miss the chance to show you these little kittens that I crocheted as a commission for a friend who loves books—and, of course, cats.
I thought it was such a lovely combination that I fell in love with the project right from the start.
Saludos y bendiciones, mis queridas amigas de las agujas. Espero que estén muy bien con salud y bienestar y que sea una semana de mucho provecho.
Hago una pequeña pausa en mis publicaciones sobre la visita de mi familia, aunque todavía tengo mucho que contar y muchas fotos por compartir de esos días tan bonitos. Pero hoy no quería dejar pasar la emoción de mostrarles estos pequeños gatitos que tejí por encargo de una amiga, amante de los libros y, por supuesto, de los gatos.
Me pareció una combinación demasiado bonita como para no enamorarme del proyecto desde el principio.
I knitted them with acrylic yarn and a 2.5 mm needle, and even though they’re small, they have that special charm that handmade items possess: each stitch gradually gives shape to something that was once just a pattern.
And speaking of the pattern, it’s very easy to follow, and I thought the result was beautiful and adorable. Plus, I love it when someone commissions something from me with their own tastes and passions in mind. I feel like the knitting stops being just an object and becomes a little story made of yarn.
These little knitted kittens couldn’t wait, so here they are—let me know if you like cats and what you think of these ones made with yarn and lots of love.🧶❤️
Los tejí con hilo acrílico y aguja de 2,5 mm, y aunque son pequeños, tienen el encanto especial que tienen las cosas hechas a mano: cada puntada va dando forma poco a poco a algo que antes solo estaba en un patrón.
Y hablando del patrón, este es muy fácil de seguir y el resultado me pareció precioso y tierno. Además, me encanta cuando alguien me encarga algo pensando en sus propios gustos y pasiones. Siento que el tejido deja de ser solamente un objeto y se convierte en una pequeña historia hecha con hilo.
Estos gatitos tejido no podían esperar, así que por acá se los dejo para que me cuenten si les gustan los gatos y qué tal les parecen estos hechos de hilo y mucho amor.🧶❤️
