Let's Make a Collage

Dancing with Fire πŸ”₯ | LMAC Freestyle

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well!

Before sharing my latest collage, I wanted to say a little something about #LIL-Gallery. Unfortunately, the gallery is still inaccessible, and honestly, it makes me quite sad. There were so many images I loved there, images that inspired me to create collages and sparked ideas I might never have thought of otherwise. I used to enjoy browsing through the collection, discovering interesting images, and imagining how I could bring them together into something new.

It's a shame that a place filled with so many memories and inspiration is no longer somewhere we can visit. I really miss being able to explore those images. Hopefully, one day LIL Gallery will become accessible again, and we'll get to enjoy its wonderful collection and find inspiration there once more.

Anyway, for this collage, I wanted to create something a little surreal and dramatic. I placed a man dancing in the middle of a blazing fire, surrounded by red roses and enormous hands that seem to emerge from the background. I decided to call it Dancing with Fire.

While putting this collage together, I was drawn to the contrast between the man's seemingly relaxed movements and the intense atmosphere surrounding him. He looks as though he's dancing in the middle of chaos, yet he doesn't seem afraid or bothered by it at all. There's something quite amusing about the way he moves, almost as if he's enjoying a performance that only he can see. I also like how the red roses add a splash of color against the flames and darker background. The enormous hands make the whole composition feel a little stranger, as though something unseen is watching or reaching out toward the figure in the middle.

I didn't really plan every detail from the beginning. I simply picked a few images that caught my attention and started arranging them until everything felt right.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my work. I'm happy to be sharing something with the LMAC community. For those of you who enjoy making collages, I'd love to invite you to share your own creations with the community. They don't have to be perfect or tell a complicated story. Just make something you enjoy, experiment with the images you find, and let your imagination take you wherever it wants.

I'd also love to see how you turn your own ideas and inspiration into collages with your unique styles. Who knows? Your work might inspire someone else, just as so many collages have inspired me along the way.

Let's keep creating and bring some life back to #LMAC together. See you in the next post!

As is always the case with your collages, I love this. It is especially meaningful to me because my daughter is a professional dancer. She is retired now, but once a dancer always a dancer. The fellow in the picture reminds me of how she describes the experience of dancing. It takes her away. Doesn't matter if she is in a crowd of friends or strangers. She gets in a groove when the music starts playing.

I am very sorry about LIL. I must have contributed hundreds and hundreds of pictures there. Unfortunately, it's down and I don't know how to fix it. However, I hope you read my recent post in the community: https://peakd.com/hive-174695/@lmac/a-new-prompt-and-way-forward-for-lmac-by-agmoore. This post explains that I don't have access to the active key in LMAC, so I can't perform some of the functions. However, I have decided not to let LMAC fade away. There will be no more required beneficiary designation. A lot of other things are changing too. No beneficiary at all. No need to upvote the prompt post, which will be monthly. I will post that as a burn blog.

Please read the details. It would be good if you reblogged that so that others who like to create collages will know the community is here and waiting to appreciate their creativity. Of course, if you don't want to reblog, that's OK. I would just like people to know that collage creation on Hive is not dead :))

Thank you as always for sharing your wonderful vision and skill with us.

I am gifting you 2 HSBI tokens (you will see that is part of the new way forward).

    Happy creating.

I really like the contrast between the man's calm dance and the chaos of the flames around him. It's as if he's found his freedom in the midst of a dangerous situation. The red roses add another interesting layer to the composition, and those giant hands add mystery to the scene. I think a little purple would be a good thing with all that yellow. This is a valuable piece, just like the previous one I saw (the skeleton and the globe). I was also sad to hear that the LIL gallery is no longer available; I hope it will be available again one day.
