AI moved the effort from thinking what to write to think what to prompt

I was in the airport and drafting some articles that I would later post them on the Hive blockchain. And while trying to think of new ideas of what to write and I was working on another article, a debate or new reality realization come to my mind. And that was related to the more and more use of AI and also how it is impacting the writing industry and domain. And one of the feeling that I experienced is that in today's times AI has moved the effort from thinking what to write to think what to prompt it. For some reason the fact that AI can write down some words or phrases it gives us greater pleasure or addictive feeling, rather than thinking that we could do that on our own. So let's try explore a little bit more this realization.

Maybe we are trying to run away from effort, from work and search for easier ways to write. But even going that way we ended up consuming a lot of energy and we still need to put the effort in what to give AI as a prompt. And maybe sometimes the amount of prompting can get more than the length of our article if we were writing it ourselves. Did you thought about that? I surely didn't, but as I had this realization at 5 AM in the morning while waiting for my flight and being pumped with coffee... I think it makes sense. Having this clear in our minds who knows, maybe will put us to consume the effort of writing in the right way: lay down our thoughts, be genuine, write about our experiences or whatever (good) our mind outputs. That it is what ultimately will remain valuable in the writing space, even if the tendency is to have less and less human content.

This entire article that I am writing comes out of my imagination and thinking. And as new words are laid down, I must say that I have a good feeling about it. Do I make an effort to write the right words? I surely do, but what can you achieve with no effort? Maybe some empty words and vague impressions or simply things without substance. And why to copy whatever is there in the wild Internet when we all can have our own optics and thoughts to share? We can be genuine, we can still express us as humans and make real connection. At least that's how I feel (right now) about that. And maybe some of you feel the same.

AI has its place in the writing and documentation world. But when it comes to a blog or a social media platform, I think all the participants expect human interactions. If I want to engage with an AI, I can surely do that directly with a chat bot and not through a social media app. So instead of always going to AI and ask him this and that, maybe we can put that effort (and there is always one) into doing it ourselves. And this way we also grow ourselves rather than emptying our minds by delegating more and more to AI. Not that is not the trend for that, but we still need to keep our genuine and rational thinking and feed our neurons in order not to get them to sleep forever. Just some thoughts that I laid down too early in the morning, but maybe they resonate and make sense even when I am posting this article. I am eager to hear your thoughts (and not AI) on the subject.

AI will definitely always have its limit and this is for sure. Also, there's no way it gets perfect with interactions, there are always going to be flaws. We can genuinely use it for work, automation and all that but it can honestly not replace real human connections which is always going to be better at emotional intelligence

Writing and the use of AI have many aspects. While newspapers in my country adopted the policy their journalists and writers shall write the articles themselves, recent research by an AI enthusiast and podcaster showed the biggest newspaper publishes around 30% or something with the help of AI. He used Pangram, the AI detector that is considered to be the best around. This led to quite some commotion, including the chief editor calling out publicly the research wasn't done correctly. He was wrong and had to admit that later. I know how this guy thinks and agree with him for a large part. In the process of writing, the writer is pushed to think thoroughly about what to write, which helps to bring more depth into whatever one writes about. I relate very much to that. Any article/blog post I write, I go through the same process. When the blog post is including opinions, I noticed during the writing process, my original opinion being changed because I thought about the topic in more depth, perhaps executed some more research and all that. However, I do think AI can help a lot writing articles. I recently started to use Wispr Flow. Dictating my thoughts straight into Obsidian (a markdown wiki like tool I run locally on mt laptop and phone). After that I rewrite quite a lot of this since my dictating is more like a knowledge braindump rather than proper dictation. I shall practise this method a lot more so the use of Wispr helps me create better blog posts, while spending less time in the whole process. Not there yet though hahaha

I am sure other ways of using AI in blog post/articles are very much ok. But the writing process must include the thinking process of the writer. I also think that the thinking process helps the satisfaction levels for whatever we write (and publish).
