**Hello there, fellow travelers! I hope you are having a wonderful and blessed day with your loved ones. August is drawing to a close, and with it, the school holidays are winding down. So, my son and I have been visiting other cities in eastern Venezuela; this time, we stopped in Puerto La Cruz, a beautiful coastal city. We really enjoy it there—especially the famous Paseo Colón, also known as Paseo la Cruz y el Mar. During our visit, we explored various areas and noticed some changes and renovations that have been made to the space. After visiting the Cross Monument, the Peace Monument, the eco-friendly tourist pier, and other parts of the city, we headed to the beach located right next to the promenade. The views are spectacular; a large rock and concrete wall separates the promenade from the beach, followed by a strip of land with various plants, and then the beautiful beach itself, offering incredible scenery.
The area tends to be very busy in the mornings and afternoons, with young people, adults, and children flocking there for physical activities like walking, yoga, and jogging. On the day of our visit, we saw several people engaging in these activities on the strip of land, which features abundant vegetation and shaded spots perfect for exercising. Without wasting any time, we joined the group for the walk; a guide indicated the route and advised us to move at a leisurely pace, as the goal was simply to walk and enjoy the sea breeze.

**Hola, hola amigos viajeros deseo que tengan un excelente y bendecido día en unión de sus seres queridos, ya está por finalizar el mes de agosto y con él se reducen los días de las vacaciones escolares, así que en compañía de mi hijo hemos estado visitando otras ciudades del Oriente venezolano, en esta ocasión, nuestra parada fue en la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz, una hermosa ciudad costera, que nos gusta mucho especialmente el famoso paseo Colón, también conocido como Paseo la Cruz y el Mar, durante nuestra visita recorrimos varias de sus áreas y pudimos notar algunos cambios y remodelaciones que se han realizado en este espacio, luego de visitar el monumento de la Cruz, el monumento de la Paz, El muelle turístico ecológico y otras zonas de la ciudad, nos dirigimos hasta la playa la cual se encuentra ubicada a un lado del paseo, las vistas son espectaculares, hay un gran muro de roca y concreto que separa al paseo de la playa, luego del muro una franja de tierra y varias plantas, a continuación la hermosa playa con increíbles vistas.
En horas de la mañana y la tarde suele ser muy concurrido, jóvenes adultos y niños, acuden a este lugar para realizar actividades físicas como; Caminatas yoga, trotar, entre otros, el día de nuestra visita coincidimos con varias personas realizando estas actividades en la franja de tierra, que cuenta con abundante vegetación y espacios con sombra ideales para realizar ejercicios, sin perder tiempo nos unimos al grupo para participar en la caminata, un guía indicaba la rutay que debíamos avanzar sin prisa, el objetivo era caminar y disfrutar la brisa marina.
As we walked, I spotted a boat cruising along the beach; there were also people playing at the water's edge and others swimming. The view of the beach is lovely at this time of day, and the sun isn't too harsh. Continuing on, we took the palm tree path and passed right by the rock-and-concrete wall; besides separating the two areas, it serves as a bench where visitors can sit to rest, have a bite to eat, or simply admire the beautiful seascape.
As seen in one of the photos, the wind was strong, swaying the palm trees. After following the long palm-lined path, you can see various buildings near the beach—residences, hotels, and the like. In addition to the abundant palm trees, there are sea grape trees and a curious plant with pale purple flowers and green, pear-shaped fruit.
Mientras realizábamos la caminata, pude observar un bote que paseaba vapor la playa, también habían varias personas jugando en la orilla de la playa y algunas bañándose, la vista de la playa a esta hora del día es muy bonita y la incidencia del sol no es tan fuerte, a medida que avanzábamos tomamos el sendero de las palmeras y pasamos muy cerca del muro de roca y concreto, este además de separar ambos espacios, funciona como un banco donde el visitante puede sentarse para descansar, comer o sencillamente observar el hermoso paisaje marino.
Como se observa en una de las fotografías, el viento era fuerte y movía las palmeras, luego de tomar el sendero de las palmeras que es bastante largo, se pueden observar algunos edificios ubicados cerca de la playa, estos corresponden a residencias, hoteles, entre otros; además de las palmeras que abundan en esta playa hay uveros y una planta muy curiosa con las flores morado claro y un fruto de color verde semejante a una pera.
Continuing our walk, we headed toward the beach to take in the scenery—the palm trees and a few crab friends strolling along the shoreline, though they kept a wary eye on the humans. The area features LED lights mounted on white posts, each set into a yellow base; spaced at regular intervals, they illuminate the entire stretch of the beach. After finishing the walk and returning to our starting point, we sat down to watch the beach, the waves, and the lightly clouded sky; the surf was gentle, and the breeze had died down a bit.
Watching the palm trees sway in the wind is another thing I enjoy when visiting the beach, as is walking on the soft, soothing sand. After traversing the length of the beach, we headed to the Paseo Colón seawall to grab a drink and a bite to eat before continuing our route through other parts of the city. It was a lovely, relaxing walk along the Paseo Colón beach, where we could admire the beautiful scenery this area offers and enjoy the cool breeze.
Siguiendo en nuestra caminata, nos acercamos hacia la playa para observar el paisaje, las palmeras y algunos amigos cangrejos que se encontraban de paseo por la orilla, pero muy atentos a los humanos, esta área cuenta lámparas led, ubicadas en los postes de color blanco, en la parte inferior tienen un muro amarillo donde reposa el poste, están ubicados cada uno a cierta distancia y cubren toda la franja de la playa, terminada la caminata y de regreso al punto de partida, nos sentamos a observar la playa, las olas y el cielo con pocas nubes, el oleaje era suave y ya la brisa había cesado un poco.
Ver las palmeras movidas por el viento, es otro de los eventos que disfruto al visitar la playa, también caminar en la arena suave y relajante; luego de recorrer toda la franja de la playa nos dirigimos hacia el muro del paseo Colón, para hidratarnos, comer y continuar nuestra ruta por otras áreas de la ciudad, fue una linda y relajante caminata por la playa del paseo Colón, donde pudimos observar el hermoso paisaje que ofrece esta zona de la ciudad y disfrutar la fresca brisa.
