DIY Tutorial on how I made a white twisted head band for myself for an event

Helllo everyone

Greetings to all on this beautiful day, it is so nice ice to be here in this great community of creativity and I hope you are doing well with your craft, design and every other activity that has to do with creativity. I wish you well in whatever you set out to do today with a positive result. Today in my creative room,I will be sharing with you the making of this beautiful twisted head band I made for myself and how nice it looks on me.

The thought of having a white head band had never occurred to me not until recently I joined a group in our community as Christian fellowship, some of us dedicated ourselves for singing as a chorister in the fellowship, so we decided to make some little items to make us unique, this white twisted head band was suggested by one of us to be worn on plain gown outfit and this is mine to make us unique.

It is simple, easy to make and beautiful as you can see it on me, I will be sharing with you the step by step process for you to make yours as well as a gift to someone or for yourself.

Here is the cutting and sewing process join me as I take you through it

First step was to cut out 2 pieces from my white fabric measuring 6 x 18 inches

These two pieces were folded in two and sewn together on my sewing machine on a straight line on the wrong side

The two pieces were turned to the right side and the seam line was ironed to the middle

I placed one of the fabric down and have the other piece cross it

I took the top and clip it to the down, I repeated same process on the other and it was taken to my sewing machine where it was sewn together at the tip on both sides

The above piece was set aside and I proceeded to make the elastic band casing as I measured and cut out a small piece from the white fabric measuring 11 3 inches

The small piece was sewn together and turned to the right side, then i ironed the seam line to the middle

I cut out an elastic band of 6 inches and inserted it in the elastic casing

The elastic band casing was placed on the twisted band right side to right side and it sewn together

The same process was repeated on the other side as well and this is the final outcome

Finally, I have my beautiful twisted head band on my beautiful plain gown outfit as you can see how the outcome is.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post, do enjoy the rest of your day.
