Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new day in my life with you. This time, I want to tell you about my visit to the home of my dear friend Mariangela, who’s been my friend since we were in kindergarten. About three years. That’s a long time for anyone, and I honestly don’t remember how many things have happened over the course of all that time. However, we’ve always had a tradition of getting together at least once a year or every few months to catch up and do something that’s not only nice but also quite necessary: maintaining the human connection that comes from seeing each other in person.

That day, I’d just come back from running some errands on the street and visiting my uncle, who’s resting at home after his pacemaker surgery. I’ll share a post dedicated to them later when my uncle’s birthday comes around on September 29, since today was really a more private affair. Continuing with the topic above, it was important for me to take the opportunity to stop by my friend’s house (that very same day) since we’d been planning to see each other for several days, but some obstacles had come up, such as the power outages in Carabobo. And that sometimes means you can’t go out because you need to cook with an electric stove, or the water hasn’t come back on, or any number of other reasons. The point is, we were finally able to get together.

I hadn’t seen her mom—her name is Ana—in about two years. Ana has spent her whole life sewing, and that’s exactly what she was doing when we found her. I was so happy to see her. So the four of us sat down to talk, each of us sharing stories about different aspects of our lives. And from what I could tell, even though things haven’t been going entirely well in Carabobo, good news can still emerge even in the face of adversity, and that made me happy. Mariangela says we’re just the same as when we were younger, but I’m not sure what to make of that (hahaha). Anyway, the time just flew by, and before we knew it, we had to leave because we live so far away. The important thing was that we got to see each other and spend time together. It’s not the same talking on WhatsApp as it is in person. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.

Me alegro mucho verla.
