A farewell coffee at Prado Gourmet [Eng-Esp]

Greetings, fellow coffee lovers. Welcome back to my blog. This time, I’d like to tell you about my visit to a beautiful coffee shop in the city of San Cristóbal, Prado Gourmet

I’ll tell you that I’m going on a trip soon and will be leaving my country for a while. So my sister came to visit the city, and we went out for a farewell coffee.

I hadn’t been to this place before—it’s a café, bar, and restaurant with an extensive gourmet menu. I was charmed from the moment I walked in. I loved the presentation of their coffee and the breakfast—which, so far, is the best sandwich I’ve ever had in San Cristóbal.

The service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive, and as soon as we arrived, we ordered a cappuccino. The ambiance, the aroma of coffee, and every little detail—like the pleasant music and the refreshing air conditioning that kept the place cool even though it was quite hot outside—made for a wonderful farewell that I’ll never forget.

After enjoying some eggs Benedict on sourdough bread with cream cheese and a passion fruit juice, we walked around the place to check out the bar, its modern wine dispenser, and its beautiful decor. It really is a very lovely spot.

As my sister and I chatted, I had a chance to reflect a bit on just how much I love the coffee from my region. Coffee from the state of Táchira is a ritual; it’s conversation; it’s hours spent lingering after a meal; it’s reunions and goodbyes; it’s history in a cup. Every sip tastes of mountains and mist, of the Andean farmer’s hard work. In short, it tastes like home.

Of course, I took home a package of this coffee that we both loved so much. I’m sure that when I’m thousands of kilometers away from my country and open this package to share a little piece of my homeland with friends, I’ll remember this wonderful day I spent at Prado Gourmet having breakfast with my sister.

Saludos amigos amantes del buen café. Les doy la bienvenida una vez más a mi blog, en esta oportunidad me gustaría contarles sobre mi visita a una hermosa cafetería en la ciudad de San Cristóbal, Prado Gourmet

Les cuento que pronto me voy de viaje y dejaré mi país por una temporada. Entonces mi hermana vino de visita a la ciudad y salimos a tomarnos un café de despedida.

No había visitado este lugar, es una cafetería, bar y restaurante con un amplio menú gourmet. Quedé encantada desde la entrada. Amé la presentación de su café y el desayuno que hasta el momento es el mejor emparedado que he probado en San Cristóbal.

La atención fue excelente. El mesero estaba muy atento y nada más llegamos pedimos un Capuchino. El artelate, el aroma a café y cada uno de los detalles como la música agradable, un refrescante aire acondicionado que mantenía el lugar frío a pesar de que afuera estaba haciendo bastante calor, hicieron de esta una despedida maravillosa que nunca olvidaré.

Después de disfrutar de unos huevos Benedict en base de pan de masa madre con queso crema y un jugo de parchita, recorrimos el lugar para ver el bar, su moderno dispensador de vinos y su bella decoración. De verdad que es un sitio muy lindo.

Mientras conversamos mi hermnaa y yo, pude reflexionar un poco sobre lo mucho que me encanta el café de mi región. El café del estado Táchira es un ritual, es conversación, es sobremesa de horas, reencuentro y despedidas, es historia en una taza. Cada sorbo sabe a montaña y a neblina, a esfuerzo del campesino andino. En pocas palabras, sabe a hogar.

Por supuesto que me llevé un paquete de este café que tanto nos gustó. Seguramente cuando este a miles de kilómetros de mi país y destape este paquete para compartir con los amigos un poco de mi tierra, recordaré este grandioso día que pasé por Prado Gourmet a desayunar con mi hermana.

Espero que cuando regrese a Venezuela pueda volver a venir a esta bella cafetería. Gracias por acompañarme en esta visita. Nos vemos en una próxima oportunidad. Chao!
