Disfrutando de un helado con mi esposo y mi nieto // (Esp/Eng)

Hola, amigos de esta linda comunidad de family y friends. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy bonita que viví junto a mi esposo y mi nieto Gael.

Les cuento que en estos días fuimos a la ciudad de Maturín a visitar a mi nieto y a sus padres, así que no perdimos la oportunidad de salir un rato a consentirlo y disfrutar de unos deliciosos helados.

Hello, friends of this wonderful “Family and Friends” community. Today I want to share with you a very lovely experience I had with my husband and my grandson Gael.

Let me tell you that a few days ago we went to the city of Maturín to visit my grandson and his parents, so we didn’t miss the chance to take him out for a bit to spoil him and enjoy some delicious ice cream.

Salimos por la tarde a eso de las cuatro porque queríamos surtir de gasolina al carro, porque nos íbamos a regresar para nuestra ciudad el otro día, así que al terminar de surtir nos fuimos directo a la conocida heladería Helados Laya, que es la favorita de él; aquí venden unos de los mejores helados de la ciudad.

​De verdad que los helados que venden allí son tan exquisitos, supercremosos, con un sabor divino; lo bueno es que encontramos una gran variedad de sabores para escoger. Al llegar al sitio, nos acomodamos en una mesa, mientras mi esposo fue a hacer el pedido. Como él ya conoce muy bien nuestros gustos, pidió los tres helados con nuestro sabor favorito, el delicioso sabor a manteoreo.

We left in the afternoon around four because we wanted to fill up the car with gas—we were heading back to our city the next day—so after we finished filling up, we went straight to the famous Helados Laya ice cream shop, which is his favorite; they sell some of the best ice cream in the city there.

Honestly, the ice cream they sell there is so exquisite, super creamy, and has a divine flavor; the best part is that there’s a wide variety of flavors to choose from. When we arrived, we sat down at a table while my husband went to place our order. Since he knows our tastes so well, he ordered three scoops of our favorite flavor: the delicious manteoreo.


Así que sentados en la mesa pudimos disfrutar cada cucharada entre risas y pláticas amenas. Ver la carita de alegría de mi nieto Gael mientras disfrutaba su helado no tiene precio. De verdad que fue una tarde maravillosa, aunque solo duró unas cuantas horas, pero estuvo llena de ternura, risas, alegría y de ese cariño único que solo se puede sentir con la familia.

Por eso afirmo que esos momentos sencillos en familia son los que realmente llenan el corazón y se quedan guardados para siempre en la memoria, y esto es lo que vale la pena en la vida: disfrutar de los momentos al lado de nuestros seres queridos. Así que mientras esté viva y pueda disfrutar de esos momentos con mis seres queridos, lo haré sin remordimientos, con mucho amor y alegría, ya que la familia es lo más importante en mi vida y por eso debemos amarla, respetarla y honrarla.

So, as we sat around the table, we were able to savor every spoonful amid laughter and pleasant conversation. Seeing the joyful expression on my grandson Gael’s face as he enjoyed his ice cream was priceless. It truly was a wonderful afternoon—even though it only lasted a few hours—but it was filled with tenderness, laughter, joy, and that unique affection you can only feel with family.

That’s why I say that those simple family moments are the ones that truly fill the heart and remain forever etched in our memories—and this is what’s truly worthwhile in life: enjoying moments alongside our loved ones. So as long as I’m alive and can enjoy those moments with my loved ones, I’ll do so without regrets, with lots of love and joy, because family is the most important thing in my life—and that’s why we must love, respect, and honor it.
