Ah, ¡y no olvides tu salud!

Reinvigorating Our Thought of Power —With Three Practical Suggestions—

Nothing instills more confidence, clears up doubts, or allows you to visualize reality or the circumstances in which you live more than your own thoughts; that’s why they’re so powerful. But we’ve talked many times about how to increase their power, make them more positive, change belief systems, and give ourselves opportunities that we reject out of fear or because of internal barriers.

However, we haven’t discussed actions as basic and simple as eating well, getting enough rest, and the ability to learn every day—among other things. That’s why I’m sharing some strategies here for cultivating a thought of power that will serve you well in everything you undertake in life.

1.- Be Your Own Best Critic

This has to do with self-evaluation—and we’ve talked about it many times here.

Every so often, or after a certain number of actions we take, we should evaluate ourselves.

Although being critical of ourselves takes time, I believe the first thing we should do is treat ourselves with kindness and compassion, understanding that we’re all on this journey through life, learning to navigate this path.

When we’re critical of ourselves, we’re evaluating our own self-esteem and the insecurities that pile up on top of the ones we already have—as a result of the outcomes we experience in our day-to-day lives.

I suggest you first evaluate how you treat yourself.

Examine the words you say to yourself and to others, the thoughts based on expectations rather than on your potential, skills, and knowledge, and always examine the comparisons you make with other people.

Examine whether you’re grateful, whether you’re aware that what you have, you’ve earned, and take responsibility for the consequences of what you experience, whether positive or negative.

Also, take a look at how much guilt is building up inside you day by day because you’re not being empathetic and responsible toward your own growth process; remember that nobody is perfect, that we all make mistakes and get back up again.

2.- Be organized

If you look at what many influencers and coaches tell us on social media, you’ll find one point that almost all of them repeat: creating a plan of goals that you review and visualize daily.

But creating a plan of goals or writing down a list of the things you want to achieve—and visualizing them daily—is, in and of itself, rooted in organization.

What I always recommend is bringing organization into your own life; and to do that, it’s important to observe your surroundings—whether they’re clean and organized, whether you’ve gotten rid of what you don’t use, and whether you’ve brought order to every area of your life.

When you learn to organize your surroundings and keep them clean, this translates into the ability to organize your objectives and goals.

It means understanding what your priorities are—what you want to discard or add—based on the knowledge you gain from seeking out role models, your daily reading, and your education, which must be ongoing.

Taking the steps to carry out projects involves knowing where we’re going and what resources we have to do so; organization is simply a fundamental part of that.

3.- Time—relentless, the one that has passed…

Finally, for now, review your expenses in relation to time.

Time is invaluable; it cannot be replenished or recovered, and through it, we are able to exist and learn.

While it’s true that we live in a hectic age, where we want to do a thousand things in a short amount of time—or sometimes feel compelled to do them, such as working, studying, and creating—this gives us the feeling that we’re using our time in the best possible way.

But it’s also true that we waste an excessive amount of it on the very technology that provides us with a constant stream of information, which tempts us to do a thousand things.

We waste a lot of time showing others how we live, posting on social media, looking at what others share about their private lives, comparing ourselves…

This not only disrupts our ability to focus but also adds a host of issues like guilt and comparisons that never lead anywhere.

On the other hand, one of the greatest harms we inflict on ourselves through this is to our mental health.

I suggest you take a look at your schedule, because even though you may feel like you’re getting a lot done each day, I’m sure much of your time could be spent on other activities—ones that are not only more productive but also foster personal growth.

Oh, and don't forget about your health!

I know there are many factors that can help us improve our productivity and strengthen our mindset toward achieving our goals, but the important thing is to take a look at areas we often overlook because we think we've already got them figured out.

Health is the foundation of success, so take a look at your rest, your diet, your leisure activities, and your physical activity.

*On the other hand, trusting and believing in ourselves is extremely important; so, build your strength and get to know yourself—this is one of the main defenses against outside opinions and against those mindsets that make us doubt whether what we’re doing is what we want or what others want.*

Only you can create the right environment to pursue what you believe is best or what you decide to do.

Don’t forget that a power thought is nothing more than the ability to control how we view the world and the limitations that prevent us from being happy, growing, and achieving our goals.

Pursuing your emotional well-being is the key to making laziness and negativity disappear and giving way to truly powerful ideas.
