‎ ‎Hello everyone, I’m happy to be here again for another week of @HiveOpenMic week 335. The theme for this week is “Love Me Tender” I'm @emmanuel50 and the song I decided to sing is “The One I Love” by Pastor Chingtok Ishaku. ‎ ‎This song is very close to my heart because of the way it talks about loving Jesus. The first time I listened to the song, I really liked the message, but the more I sing it, the more I understand it. There is something about the song that makes me think about my relationship with God. ‎ ‎The song says, “I desire nothing else, no one else but You Lord.” This line is simple, but it carries a lot of meaning for me. In life, there are many things we can desire, and there are many people we can love, but this song reminds me that Jesus should always have a special place in our hearts. ‎ ‎I chose this song because it connects well with this week’s theme. When we hear the word love, we normally think about the love between two people, but the love we have for God is also very important. For me, loving Jesus means wanting to know Him, following Him and choosing Him even when things are not easy. I also love the way this song is arranged. The call and response part makes it more interesting to sing, and the words are not difficult to understand. When I sing, “The one I love is ever before me,” it feels very personal to me. It reminds me of someone who has become very important in my life. ‎ ‎One thing I have learned from this song is that our love for God should not only be something we say with our mouth. It should also show in the way we live and the choices we make. I really love this song, and I’m happy to share it for this week’s Open Mic.
