Us Against the World is about a man and his fiancee who love each other so much, but almost everyone is against their relationship. The man’s mother especially hates the lady for no good reason. She always insults her and even calls her a witch because she does not want her to marry her son. The family comes from a rich background, so they want their son to marry a rich girl instead. But the lady is a very good person, and the man knows how much he loves her. The two of them are always together, eating together, playing together and enjoying their time with each other. Their love is really beautiful to watch because they are both serious about each other. The man has already decided that she is the woman he wants to marry, and he tells his family that nobody can come between them. The only problem is his mother, who keeps causing trouble because she does not support the relationship.
There is also a rich man who has a son, but his son is a very spoiled child. His mother is already dead, so the father is the only parent he has left. The father is a multimillionaire and has a very big company, but the son does not care about anything. He smokes, brings different ladies around and behaves badly. He even smokes in front of his father while they are having serious conversations. His father has tried many times to correct him, but he refuses to change.
Because of his bad character, the father cannot trust him with the company. Instead, he gives the company to a hardworking young man to manage. This young man is the same man who has the fiancee he loves so much. He works very hard and helps the company grow, and the father is happy with the way he handles everything. The spoiled son becomes very jealous because he believes the young man has taken his position. He normally goes to the company to disturb and threaten him, asking him for money and saying he will scatter the company if he does not give him what he wants. Sometimes he even goes to the young man’s house and disturbs him and his fiancee, asking them for food and money. The young man has no choice but to give him what he wants because he does not want problems.
The rich man has two children, a boy and a girl, and his daughter later returns from abroad. Her father is very happy to see her, but he also keeps talking to her about marriage because he believes she is old enough to have started her own family. After she returns, she and her brother go to the company to see how things are going. When the daughter sees the young man managing the company, she immediately likes him and tells him that she loves him. But the young man makes it clear that he already has a fiancee whom he loves and wants to marry. He refuses to cheat on her or leave her for another woman. Even though the rich man’s daughter continues telling him that she loves him, he still stands by his fiancee.
When the daughter tells her father that she has fallen in love with the young man, the father is happy because he already wants his daughter to get married. He also knows that the young man is hardworking, respectful and good at handling his company, so he feels the marriage would be a good idea. But the spoiled son strongly disagrees because he is jealous of the young man. He does not want his sister to marry him because he already hates him for taking over the position he was supposed to have in the company. The family keeps trying to convince the young man to marry the rich girl, but he refuses. Even his own family members support the idea because she is from a rich family, but he tells them that he cannot leave the woman he loves. He has already chosen his fiancee, and nothing can make him change his mind.
In the end, the young man goes ahead with his decision to marry the woman he loves. His mother later realizes that she was wrong and comes to apologize to her. She finally accepts the lady and understands that her son truly loves her. The two of them are finally able to live together without allowing other people to destroy their relationship.
I enjoyed the movie because it showed how far people can go when they truly love each other. There were many people trying to separate this couple, but the man refused to give up on the woman he had chosen. I also liked the way he stood by his fiancee even when a rich woman was interested in him. The movie was not perfect, but I enjoyed watching it and I think the message about love and standing by the person you choose was good.
