¿O realmente has hecho lo que has querido y soñado?

Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all doing very well. This week’s questions come to us from @cautiva-30, who invites us to answer them and reflect upon them.
I invite you to see yourself where you want to be, and not where others have placed you or think you ought to be. Is your life a reflection of other people’s opinions — your parents’, family’s, friends’? Or have you actually done what you’ve wanted and dreamed of?
When I really think about it, I feel that my life is, to some extent, a reflection of what others expect of me—yet, at the same time, I manage to find space to be myself and do what I want. I don’t feel like I’m exactly where I’m "supposed" to be, but I am where I need to be for the moment. I’m not entirely content, though I’m not exactly unhappy either. It’s a strange mix, honestly; lately, I’ve been grappling with similar questions, and I don’t have a definitive answer to offer.
I have made certain choices in various aspects of my life—and continue to do so—but it is also true that I don’t always do everything I want, because I am constantly thinking about what others might say. In a way, I let myself be guided by the opinions of others, and that is likely the source of the unease I sometimes feel. It’s as if I was set on a particular path, and I simply let it happen; then again, there were times when I felt stranded and aimless, so I suppose where I am now is better than nothing. On the other hand, I have faith and confidence that I am working toward where I truly want to be, along with the certainty that I will get there when the time is right and I am ready for it.
I recently realized that all the plans I had in mind didn’t turn out the way I would have liked, and that, perhaps, the best things that have happened to me weren’t planned at all. So, I decided that my plan is to have no plan—to try and live in the moment—and let the rest unfold as it will.
Based on the phrase: "Identify your talent, and your purpose will reveal itself," how many times have you asked yourself why you’re here in this world, or what your purpose in life is?
I have asked myself this question many times, and I still do not know what my true purpose is; however, I know that at some point it will be revealed, and that everything I am experiencing is a form of preparation—a sequence of events that will lead me to this discovery.
On the other hand, I firmly believe that we came into this life to experience, to feel—to simply live. That gives me peace of mind, because I know I’m fulfilling that purpose; I’m discovering life and everything it holds—the good and the bad alike. That is why we are here.
I know that I have several talents, and I also know that I haven’t quite figured out what to do with them yet; however, I trust that one day this insight will be revealed to me, allowing me to take full control of my life and determine the exact path I should follow.
Well, friends, that concludes my thoughts on this topic. I hope you enjoyed it, and I encourage everyone reading this to share their own input as well. Thanks for making it this far and for supporting my content. Until next time!
