Hi, everyone! My husband and I love ramen, and as I told you a few days ago, at the Poland Rock Festival they gave us several packages of Namdong brand Kimchi Jjigae ramen or instant noodles, and of course we were going to try them when we got back, so once we got home, we got right to it. It’s very easy to prepare, and the package looked really tempting, but the truth is that we were disappointed—and I’ll explain why below.
Ahora bien, como ven, adentro viene como los típicos ramen de paquete, es decir, con los fideos y dos sobres (uno de condimentos y el otro de chile o picante), y por detrás trae las indicaciones de como cocinarlo: primero hervir 450 ml de agua en una olla, luego agregar los fideos y los sobres (indicando que agregues la cantidad de chile que puedas soportar, nosotros agregamos todo el sobre), cocinar por 4 minutos y listo, así de fácil y rápido están listos estos fideos Kimchi Jjigae.
Now, as you can see, inside it’s just like a typical package of ramen—that is, it comes with the noodles and two packets (one for seasoning and the other for chili or spice)—and on the back are the cooking instructions: First, boil 450 ml of water in a pot, then add the noodles and the packets (it says to add as much chili as you can handle—we added the whole packet), cook for 4 minutes, and that’s it—these Kimchi Jjigae noodles are ready that quickly and easily.
Finalmente y antes de apagar el fuego, mi esposo y yo decidímos agregarle un poco de queso a los fideos, ya que así es como preparamos el ramen de la marca Buldak (que por cierto nos encanta), y después servimos los fideos en platos. Para ser sincera ni mi esposo ni yo terminamos el plato, de hecho, apenas y los probamos porque no nos gustaron, y no es que sean malos, creo que es cuestión de gustos pero ambos coincidimos en que tienen un sabor muy artificial, así que no, no les daríamos otra oportunidad.
Finally, before turning off the heat, my husband and I decided to add a little cheese to the noodles—since that’s how we prepare Buldak ramen (which, by the way, we love)—and then we served the noodles on plates. To be honest, neither my husband nor I finished our plates; in fact, we barely even tasted them because we didn’t like them. It’s not that they’re bad—I think it’s just a matter of taste—but we both agreed that they have a very artificial flavor, so no, we wouldn’t give them another chance.
Quizá haya una mejor forma de comer estos fideos, pero por ahora no queremos darles otra oportunidad ni los voy a recomendar pues lo dejo a decisión de ustedes porque a nosotros no nos gustaron, así que supongo que vamos a regalar el resto de fideos que nos dieron para que no se pierdan, pues quizá haya gente a la que si le guste, pero cuentenme ustedes? ya probaron estos fideos instantáneos o no les gustan? cuales son sus favoritos? nosotros amamos los de la marca Buldak.
There might be a better way to eat these noodles, but for now we don’t want to give them another chance, and I’m not going to recommend them—I’ll leave that up to you—because we didn’t like them. So I guess we’re going to give away the rest of the noodles we were given so they don’t go to waste, since there might be people who do like them. But what do you think?
